In my opinion, yes. The Strix series in my experience is a step ahead of the rest of the lineup, good thermals, overclocking potential. I got this exact card, my current OC settings that are stable on the games I play: +125MHz (3015MHz) core clock, +500MHz memoryclock, I can probably push the memoryclock further now that I've found the core clock limit. I always use MSI Afterburner and set my own fancurve, I'm not a fan of fans that dont spin.
I got the Msi 4060 ti and I love it . I average 160-170 fps on pretty much ultra settings on Fortnite, duty , apex, sometimes it’ll hit higher into 200. Thing. Is a beast !
I just ordered this card . Watercooling is planned . I'm having a hard time choosing correct waterblock that will fit . With the air cooler its just too big of a card . I have to sacrifice all other slots to use it . The PC is used for other things so I need the compactness of watercooling . Any thoughts on waterblock ?
Just did my first pc build and when i was looking into g cards i could have opted for a base 4080 , mid range 4070 ti super, or rog strix 4070 super. I had to money for any of the 3 and when it came time for a final decision.....i personally couldnt rationalize how much more the 80 cost compared to the 70 super when you do an eye test betweet cards. Dont get me wrong theres def improvement but thw cost i see in this video is almosy 1500$, the 70 still gives you a super card and it also allowed me to get the model (rog strix) that i wanted with my build. Still happy about the route i went months after.
Thanks for the video, i might get this card but get it in white cuz that match more to my white case, but i really was looking for a good video of this card and here it is, So big thanks to you!
Dude the fact its 5% better then other 4080 supers to me makes the asus tax worth it if you can find a none OC at like 100 more then standard ones. Love that and we know asus OC is just a biops that changes the cirve of the mhz some none OC actually have even higher clocks and you dont need the pc bios. If you want you can flash it on the none oc and boom you have theres but as i said some none oc have just as hifh clocks do using it may actially reduce it if you got lucky on the silicone. Its just something they add 80mhz onto from base but some of thode cards have lower clocks out of the box then others so yeah none OC can already have that 80. People get confused it doesnt chabge the poeer limit or anything. Its not the 4090s so yeah 3080 supers all of the asus strix can get to 420 watts when using the extra 33% power in OC. On any of the OC apps. So they all are more poeerful then other 4080 supers imo. Enjoy find a good deal and buy it.
Let me rephrase my question ; what is the frame rate for call of duty at 1440p with the 4080 super oc. I have a 2070 super that’s oc. I get 90 fps. My setup is a 10900k 5.0 ghz , 32 gb of ram, 2070 super
Hi I just got the gpu and there is a red light when the pc is turned off and connected to power to seems to work fine as I just tested fortnite and I got 700 fps do you know what the light means?
I just got a GeForce rtx 4080 super with a rog Maximus z790 hero BUT I MESS UP IN THE CASE. If anyone knows a good case size plz let me know I’m desperate
Sorry we are not interested in the performance or the characteristics of this card. We already know them !!! on the other hand in a card test: the future informed buyer will be sensitive to information such as the maximum frequency of the Core GPU, the maximum frequency of the memory and especially the temperature and consumption! The rest, we do not care. So, yes no graphics on the core and memory oc.
It is absolutely insane to see how bottelenecked the 4090 is at 1080p and 1440p. No it isnt because its better st doing 4k then the other resolutions its becausw its so powerful no cpu can allow it to maxmimize its performance at anythinf under 4k which relies on the gpu most of all. Insane. Go ahead be in denail all you want but overtime like next gen when we get stronger cpu you will notice even more fps comparws to the lineup from the power of the gpu.
Same in 4k that was my point. Im talking about 1080p and lowrr resolutions or 1440p with lower settinfs when the cpu is utilized much more they cant keep up with these monster gpus. If you get 20% cpu usage in lower resolutions that's an issue lol. 20% in 4k and 100% gpu in 4k is great and yes in 4k the bottleneck is practically gone most of the time none. 1080p is not gpu heavy it relies on the cpu which is why cpu tests are done in 1080p to show the true performance on the cpu. The gpu is heavy in 4k. It relied mostly on the gpu. @catfacecat.
No it is not the best .... the coil noise on those cards is bad , the best 4080 super or 4090 ... is the zotac amp extreme or trinity ... but the amp extreme is king .
@@caseymedina2007but I would like to ask: if I go for a custom loop, I came from a 6800xt Xfx, I have the difference from the other 4080 super, or the money I am paying more of other 4080 super are in the air cooling system I will not use? Or: is the PCB really better?

Should i go w it or just tuf for cheaper price (just for gaming). I heard tuf have some problem so i reconsider
If I decided to change my 6950xt formula oc, the strix is the most powerful version without a doubt of the 4080 super, a beast

Was there any coil wine on your car that you tested I heard some of these 4080s had coil wine issues
i have the asus rog strix 4080 super oc edition there has been no coil whine at all on mine its a really quiet card
Alot of 4080 supers in general have it when pushing that much power and frames. It happens
