UPDATE: Wow! Billy, I just did some research myself and it IS it’s ALL OVER the web that that scene was filmed at the UNLV Gym. I wonder if they will pull or correct some of those articles if they see this video? Because you did INDEED just prove that theory wrong.. it was NOT filmed at UNLV! One site said “15 Things You Didn’t Know About Viva Las Vegas” and it listed this scene as filmed at UNLV. Well, they might wanna make that 14 Things now.. and I know one thing THEY don’t! haha!

Was waiting for this one. I always thought Elvis’ dancing was better than Ann’s....Mainly because Ann seems like it’s a rehearsed and choreographed, where Elvis makes it look so natural and done on the spot. Not to mention the charismatic energy he brings to the scene.
Starlite Karaoke Elvis always did his own thing when it came to dancing and if you look at different videos they’re all very similar

I’m just making the point that Ann who is a trained dancer and true professional and don’t get me wrong, she absolutely kills this scene and maybe Elvis’ equal in certain aspects like being polished...doesn’t have that spur of the moment ‘hey lets wing it and sing and dance’ for the kids feel like Elvis does. It just seems more natural for Elvis, as this was a choreographed scene, when it wasn’t supposed to look like one.

Viva Las Vegas is my favorite Elvis movie! 1964 was the year I was born. That’s 55 years ago! When my oldest granddaughter was little (she is 16 now) this was also her favorite movie. She wanted to be Ann Margaret for Halloween. She changed her mind, because no one would have known who she was dressed as. She also called Elvis her hunk o man!

Yes I had one where we went to UNLV and talked to them about their gym being the filming location.. I didn't think it was right then because as shown the building didn't line up.. Until I went to this building though I couldn't prove it.. th-cam.com/video/G_Nwn0cdVPE/w-d-xo.html
