Nice karate moves at the end, saw Ed Parker when he came over to the UK in Leicester he wore the red jacket with the leather sleeves. He was a great guy with great stories to tell. Sadly missed. Thanks spa guy for the upload
I just picked up the actual ELVIS IN CONCERT patch that is irregular (inner stitching is not filled in completely) from a flea market for a dollar. I'm sure it's not an original but still a cool find none the less.
The great thing about the Elvis world is everyone has their own area of interest or specialty and we can all learn something new from each others areas of interests. Learnt a lot about the scarves from the previous videos with Bob and now the tour jacket. That pic of it being worn by Ed at the last concert Elvis did really puts it in it's historical context. The white jacket is very Col Parker. First time I thought that looks more like a Colonel Parker product than an Elvis one. The red one is cooler. Fun bit at the end. LOL
I attended a concert in Atlanta 1973. We had from row, stage level seats. Elvis threw a scarf to a woman sitting next to us, and another girl grabbed it at the same time. As they were fighting over the scarf, Elvis continued singing moving to another part of the stage. Then one of his enterouge, appeared reached with a pair of scissors and quickly cut the scarf in half. Each of the girls got half a scarf. I often wondered if that frequently happened. Btw an amazing concert!

Here in the UK they made a program about UK Elvis fans going to Graceland with David Frost in the early 80s, David was talking to some Fans by the grave. Then Dean came along and had a bit of a argument with David Frost, saying how disrespectful it was to film by Elvis grave, then they were marched of the grounds by Dean and some other people, it was a good programme to watch its on utube, its called Elvis he touched there life's. Just thought I'd let you know.

Nope.. The owner doesn't require it and we are not trying to be sharp we are simply telling the history and authenticity.. Less about show and more about knowledge..
@@SpaGuy I still disagree. It was poor handling of a rare item. Our skin has oils that will get on that material. Regardless of why it's being shown Gloves are a must with Rare collectibles such as this. That's just me though. To each his own👍🏻
@@fordsrule35 We will have to agree to disagree then.. These jackets were thrown on couches, in closest, in the backseat of cars for years before they were sold so 15 minutes of handling is not going to change anything.. These are under glass in his home the rest of the time..
@@SpaGuy I didn't mention the Jackets. I specifically said the Scarf. The jackets were not my concern. You do great work so it's nothing personal. A black Elvis owned scarf seems very rare to me as they were not common.
Same goes for the scarves as well.. I am not arguing that you should not take care of these items I just don't subscribe to the white glove theory.. He handles scarves all of the time and if he is not concerned I have no reason to be.. I agree Fords Rule.. I worked for Ford for about 17 years..

I bought a couple of Elvis In Concert red lined jackets with zipper with the Howe Athletic Apparel tag. I bought them through an advertisement in Rolling Stone Magazine in late 1977 or early 1978. Still have them. I actually talked to Ed Parker on the telephone when he was on a radio show called The Nightcaps I believe. He was on promoting a book he had written. I recorded my conversation with him onto a cassette tape. I need to find that tape. Thanks for the video Billy.

Yes Elvis was a Huge Roy fans.. There are pics of them together at American Sound Studio in Memphis and he unfortunately passed away about 6 months after..

It's amazing how they react to real music. Lol. So with videos of him performing and your videos of his history, maybe we can keep his memory alive.
