For the skill points that require you complete a race within a certain time, the best challenge for both courses is #3, which has all of the shortcuts open, but the other racers won't attack you.

For the “Weapon Envy” skill point, the clearest way to explain what is required is to upgrade to ORANGE(when the weapon first gets a name change; The FIRST regular progression upgrade), except the RYNO II, Zodiac, Clank Zapper & all the Ratchet & Clank throwback weapons.
In simpler terms...you need the top 16 ORANGE, which is the Lancer through the Sheepinator. And when I say ORANGE, I mean the FIRST upgrade to the weapon after you purchase it. This upgrade is the NORMAL UPGRADE that occurs naturally after continuous use of the weapon and it will change the weapon’s NAME as well as the icon’s COLOR from WHITE to ORANGE.
You do NOT need to purchase the MEGA upgrades for these 16 weapons. For anyone unaware, the MEGA upgrades are available for purchase in CHALLENGE MODE and cost more than the original weapon purchases. These upgrades change the name of the weapons by simply putting MEGA in front of the previous name, and the COLOR of the icon is now changed from ORANGE to YELLOW/GOLD, except for the case of the 5 throwback weapons, which go from WHITE to YELLOW/GOLD because they DO NOT level up to ORANGE traditionally with the progression bar. You just upgrade them to MEGA after you enter CHALLENGE MODE with bolts. They also DO NOT upgrade to ULTRA, which is BLUE.
This is the next thing I will explain. The BLUE ULTRA level is the maximum for any weapon. Another bonus of the MEGA is that it grants another progression bar, so you can fill it up AGAIN and change it from YELLOW/GOLD to BLUE! Each time you upgrade a weapon(change the color), the weapon gets better(both in performance & ammo capacity). To further clarify each weapon’s available upgrades, I’ll list them below:
- Heavy Lancer: White, Orange, Yellow, Blue (Orange for achievement)
- Mini-Nuke: White, Orange, Yellow, Blue (Orange for achievement)
- Multi-Star: White, Orange, Yellow, Blue (Orange for achievement)
- HK22 Gun: White, Orange, Yellow, Blue (Orange for achievement)
- Vaporizer: White, Orange, Yellow, Blue (Orange for achievement)
- Megaturret: White, Orange, Yellow, Blue (Orange for achievement)
- Blitz Cannon: White, Orange, Yellow, Blue (Orange for achievement)
- Tesla Barrier: White, Orange, Yellow, Blue (Orange for achievement)
- Kilonoid: White, Orange, Yellow, Blue (Orange for achievement)
- Meteor Gun: White, Orange, Yellow, Blue (Orange for achievement)
- Heavy Bouncer: White, Orange, Yellow, Blue (Orange for achievement)
- Mega Rocket: White, Orange, Yellow, Blue (Orange for achievement)
- Plasma Storm: White, Orange, Yellow, Blue (Orange for achievement)
- Tetrabomb Gun: White, Orange, Yellow, Blue (Orange for achievement)
- Tankbot Glove: White, Orange, Yellow, Blue (Orange for achievement)
- Black Sheepinator: White, Orange (Orange for achievement)
- Tesla Claw(Throwback): White, Yellow
- Bomb Glove(Throwback): White, Yellow
- Walloper(Throwback): White, Yellow
- Visibomb(Throwback): White, Yellow
- Decoy(Throwback): White, Yellow
- Zodiac: White
- RYNO II: White
- Clank Zapper: Orange
I hope this helps. Unfortunately, this guide does NOT specify any of this, which leaves the viewer unsure. I am NOT bashing Paul. I used ALL his guides for the Ratchet & Clank Trilogy, as he has the best guides for these games on TH-cam. Nothing is perfect in this world, though, and There ARE a few things that could’ve been clearer.

Can you get in the insomniac museum with all you guns orange. (Without going to the 3 am tellerpoter)
i took out chainblade without any armor and with lvl 1 wrench. it's easy once you figure out his pattern
Guys for the wrench ninja II: masacre i know why you can't get it, if you are in challenge mode like i were you have to hit at least once every enemy before the die, they can be killed by you, by jumping off the map or their mates it doesn't matter as long as you HIT THEM ONCE. You can also go into turret but you must not shoot with them. And don't forget to activate the pad to release the dino and kill it

04:25 If the old skool skill point isn't popping up for you then try to travel to another planet, saving there and then turning off the console. After that try getting the skill point again, worked for me and hope that works for you guys who aren't getting it : D NOTE that if you die during you trying to get the skill point i would suggest you would do this then also just in case. Also Remember that it doesn't matter if you knock enemies into the water, it still counts, and remember that walloper kills count too.

Yeah this one took 2 runs for me to complete it. I took the city route first, which went fine, but once I got to the end of that side, it FORCED ME to enter a cutscene once I got close to the Mathematician & sent me(without choice)up to Dobbo Orbit, so when I went back to Dobbo(I returned immediately), ALL enemies on that side respawned. I thought MAYBE they counted, so I hopped on the taxi and it took me back to the ship where I could enter the teleported to go into the facility to get the other half of enemies. Guess what...no skill point after finishing those enemies off, so I had to then leave the facility and kill the outside enemies all over again. Very annoying.

Bit of a warning for anyone doing old school skill point on Dobbo. If you hit an enemy into the water with the Whooper and it's not killing damage and they instead die after they hit the water then that kill counts as ENVIRONMENTAL and you’ll have to restart the challenge. My advice to avoid using the Whooper in areas near the edges so that you don't have to restart.

Play the game through it's 2nd and subsequent runs. You'll get the bolt multiplier applied to bolts you collect and all of the rewards in the game are x10, including the crystals and moonstones in the desert and ice field. The impossible challenge earns you 2M bolts in challenge mode I believe.
On damosel, u can get the grinding skill point with the tesla shield active.
Yes this was on challenge mode, just playing through the game once, doing the impossible challenge and a few other arena challenges got me the money.
I actually think it did, I took 2-3 tries on that one. Make sure your the one that deals the final blow, throw the wrench if you have to, never step on those turrets at all and equip the dynamo so you never shoot.

The guards that shoot at you beside the teleporter were put there on purpose by the developers. It was easier then rebuilding the level, apparently someone at the company secretly put it in and when the others found out it was too close to release to fix.
If anyone needs help with the skill speed deamon there is a cheat once you are getting reddy ro start press the ps button right before the green light after thqt press it again and when the bell rings press up the left analog while pushing the x and the r2 you will start with a turbo
I beat chainblade in about 10 seconds with the wrench, and this was when I got that last wrench from the prision/lab
If you purchase all weapon mods, you can use the short cuts to access the museum! Requires all 40 bolts though

With the chainblade one if you do a battle before that (like B2 Brawler or something) and use the decoy glove close to the end and make sure you some left over and then fight him they will still be up for that battle and he will be distracted by them making it much easier. You still get the skill point

when I only need to use the wrench the enemies accidentally kill each other, does that mess up getting the skill point?
if you complete the challange in challange mode (which is the mode you play after you have finished the game) you obtain a multiplier and thats how you get 2 million bolts

when I went to sleep for that night, but when I woke I only was thinking about the lancer and not the og ratchet and clank guns for some reason

DIDNT GET IT on first run and I only used Tesla claw Visibomb and wrench on a few boxes - now I will do a run with only tesla claw and Visibomb and see what happends. (Had same issue with Joba Wrench challenge, unless I am missing enemies) - could be cause I have finished planet and therefor less enemies, will find out soon (but that would be very annoying)
Nope - So I will try a run using all the weapons from Ratchet and Clank atleast once.
Even using all weapons multiple times without touching wrench I didnt get it... dammit... this and the Joba one both seems bugged for me...
Really hope I dont need to restart a new game and do all skill points for the trophy...

good thing I figured out that hitting the helicopters with melee gives u hp back - so just takes awhile, but still easily done one 1st try :D

6:22 I did this like 5-6 times and I still didnt get the trophy... idk why, I got all the enemies, the ones hidden, the ones behind the doors, didnt touch and turrets... urgh x.x - Most annoying trophy in the Ratchet and clank history - the fact u say "simple and easy I guess" to it aswell haha, god dammit - This is on the Triology Version btw!
MAYBE it is because I use the enemies to shoot other enemies with their laser and the gunners? so since I let many die from the enemies shots the game think that I shoot or something? hmm... (assuming there is a certain amount of enemies that need to die by the wrench, but this is alot harder on challenge mode where ur wrench upgrade doesnt one hit, especially if ur not allowed to use the shoots from enemies, im so confused... I will just look at a guide specificlly for this to see if others had the same issue or figurd it out

in ratchet and clnk 2 on ps2 impossible challenge is only worth 200 000 bolts but its worth 2 million on ps3 same with all the hover bike races
I think "You're My Hero" has glithed for me. I've mad sure countless times that none of the First Tour Guide gets killed but its still not Unlocking.
I even followed them around with the Killnoids and Tesla Barrier but its still not working!

I liked your video, but VERY serious issue here. It appears that the crane operator skill point only gives you one chance. I already beat the level and apparently not all enemies respawn. Correct me if I'm wrong, but there are only two cranes in this level with only eight enemies killable by crane. Please help :\

I can't get the Old School skill point, and that's the only one I got left. I tried killing every single enemy in the stage (including the factory), but it didn't appear.
ithink you should do deadlocked because you mentioned it in the episode
friendly fire does not count but u cant fire once in the turret
because they are "GOLD WEAPONS" just like the orange symbols in r&c 1 :D
How is it that you won 40,000 bolts in the hoverbike race? The most i got was 2,000 on challenge 5. How are you able to get so much bolts per race?
