Was playing Perisno, I had 22 companions.
Met an army of 300 bandits. Luckily, it was a bridge.
It was glorious.
I was the last man standing, and so was their named leader. So we dueled forever. But I finally got him.
It was the best battle ever.

Marcelo Stepien Quantity isn't really the problem here, it's the quality. Say, you have 10 knights against 200 village farmers. Of course the knights will win.

If they were vaegirs, they'd be easy to beat since their units are a more jack of all trades type and not focused on one ability like the scary nords with their huscarls

zachary novak that's a lot of old soldiers with bad feet.
I find it very easy to kill 20-40 bandits of any kind myself, alone. I use 2 shields, a bastard sword and a long reach axe. I just kill em on at the time riding in a circle. Shields are pretty important to deal with that large groups of ranged units tho.
I defeated a kings army single handedly (starting battle was my 86 vs their 604) by having my cav follow me and charge their archers first and try to knock the horses from under the enemy cav. During that my cav died and all I did was charge the stragglers from the horde of infantry....not my proudest battle but I made it...then the king escaped -_-
The most recent battle I had was literally my entire army (army meaning legit all other vassals, which were only 3) consisting of close to around 800 men took on a bloody Swadian army consisting of 2231 men (Floris expanded mod thus numbers, and many defected Lords as well.) We won, losing around 500 and absolutely butchered the other side killing 1900, wounding the rest and capturing most of the Lords. It was crucial cause we accidentally stumbled upon them when I had assembled the army and were a bit too far away from Valuca, which we had aimed to defend. Luckily we came across them on our path to raid one of their villages to raid. This also ended the war between us and the swadians and allowed my to reinforce Ergellon castle and Valuca

lol try what happened to me, 248 vs 1556 in a castle. only lost 36 guys. omg ambush lol.
Fought a battle once, vastly outnumbered, all that was left were me and one nord huscarl vs ~10 horse archers that were surrounding us and shooting us. That was an epic last stand with me and my bro watching my back! :D

Uh this was easy. One when battling with a bandits that was having 22 troops i went to fight with them and i misclicked the surrender button i lost my all army they got all my army and horse when i got free from them i attacked them back. and i WON the battle and got all my troops back
This is usually the tactic I use too, works really great, gotten me out of a lot of sticky situations. Although when your band of merry men face King Graveth and his 1200 men strong army, rip.
lol my army only 84 but opponent got 320 when i said to myself ''maybe there is a hope to win the battle'' beleave or not me and my armys kill 298 12 wounded and others routed.But after we winning that battle,another battle come again and win almost 4 times they attacking == unfortunatley 3 of them only 34++ army. And i got got 314renowns

what about steppe bandits?
once your high enough level you can kill 70 sea raiders by yourself.
How does a horse survive a arrow to the face and a javelin to the face?
I killed 53 people by myself by circling them and picking them off 1 by 1, although they were forest bandits

What do u do if they have Calvary?

Ah I wish I had that kind of skill in archery. Obviously you need a lot of practice to be able to land one-shot kills.

A nice little common sense strategy, however here's what lost people here are wanting to really know if you have a small group and get ambushed by enemy lords and outnumbered like 30 to 500-800 enemy soldiers of archers/cavs/ and infantry.....how do you survive that kind of ambush

I have tried multiple times usually doesn’t work out
When i get to an group fight, if u know what i mean, i do that flag thing and makes my men hold position behind them, so some of my men go around them :)

This has nothing to do with ambushes.
Being ambushed is when you are attacked on your own in a town or city.
Get your terminology right.

Beau!!! You listening just wondering if playing as swadia is it always better to role with a long stabby stick i like the reach and a bow? Or crossbow and without cheating is it better to max health power strike and power draw? Iv restarted my character like 10 times cuz i get my ass handed to me all the time
I got ambushed with a 271 sand army whilst I had 56 :| I tried to do this tactic by nature, but they still had several horses up and their archers kept spawning in
A better scenario would be , since your entire army was mounter , is to position them and skirmish more instead charging in , and when facing off like 5-6 enemies with that bigass polearm i would be much more comfortable on foot since the cut dmg is higher . Ermergawd embuuuuuush
Also important- try to go around the hills when possible. They slow horses down to a point they can't charge.
I learned this the hard way when I charged a groupnof Taiga bandits but went over the hill that they were almost at the top of. As a result, I didn't get any charge damage and my horse instead stopped, and I was immediately surrounded and unable to move until dead.
I ended up hoping my men auto battling will win but as you know they suck at that, so I lost half of them in the process, the remainder basically all wounded.
this is a good guide but it really just depends on how good you are in the game, i just find it easier and faster to dismount and fight if im alone versus 30 down, especially if its bandits or sea raiders o simiar, now with a lord, it gets more complicated, i like to send my troop back and solo engage the enemy, take out their cav then send in my own troops, this is really situational and depends on who/what lvl of troop you are facing cause after all, some units can kill your horse in one hit

I prefer doing this with with a 2h axe cause in one pass you can kill even 5... hack and slash hehe. Much faster than with pole, and i've even won a 11 vs 300 doing that.

this happened to me today actually. So I'm a vassal with the nords and we are at at with the sultanate. as I was going to tihr an army of 444 sarranids attacked me, my army was nothing but swadian men at arms and knights. The there was 109 of us. at the end of the battle I had lost 3 men and the entire sarranid army was dead
That's kinda obvious, Swadians cavalry is the most broken unit in M&B
They often oneshot even high tier troops with lances, heavy armoured, heavy horses and a shitload of HP
Only Huscarls can best them in a 1vs1, and if the knight is on foot obviously

Hey guys what difficulty is good to play on if you're decent at the game but don't want to get absolutely wrecked but at the same time don't want ti to be super easy. Thanks

Warband is never easy honestly. Even on the easiest difficulty you can run into a big army by accident and get slaughtered and be left without and army or a horse or money. That sucks.
+NightBot Ban just save before the battle and see if you win after it hehe
