Normally I low-key hate interviewers in these sorts of things, but Ali is a keeper. He lets them talk, and coaxes a bit of banter out, makes it a bit of fun.
Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor are the two best castings in Star Wars history in my opinion. They are such a good duo and they kinda of are Anakin and Obi Wan in real life. They have such a special bond.
Christensen's legitimately grateful to be here instead of bitter about how he was treated by some in the past That alone makes all this worth it for me. The series was only OK, but it was worth it
Anakin is the whole reason I fell in love with Star Wars overall. His whole entire story and obviously the fact that My kid self thought he was the most beautiful man I’d ever seen in my life 😆 I had never obsessed over another character in any movie the way I did with him and honestly at this age never will lol
Yes, the same! Anakin is my fav character by far. I have just watched Revenge of the Sith and it has utterly destroyed me, like I don't know what to do rn 😩. The ending was utterly heartbreaking 😭
Hayden is the Anakin we needed, but didn't deserve. Bravo, Hayden. Watching your character spawned my love for Dungeons and Dragons and many other sci-fi things. Thank you so much for all your work
Hayden’s laugh at NOB just brightened my day a ton. I love these two so much they were a huge part of my childhood, while I love the OG movies itd the prequels that I grew up with and that story that I loved the most and these two characters as well! I’m so beyond excited seeing them come back to add more to these characters after so many years
I really don’t even know how to express to Hayden and Ewan how much they and their parts have meant to me in my life. I genuinely grew up on the prequels (literally watching since I was 2 years old), and I was was watching them everyday at a point when I was younger. There was a point where I watched the three prequels through 5 times in a week (I was like 10 at the time). I still watch them a couple times a year when I’m sad and they always bring back the best memories. They truly are my favorite people I don’t know, and my favorite actors ever.
I so, so appreciate them mentioning the music at the beginning of the interview. It's so good!!! Leia's theme is nonsensically good, the prequels are so ridiculously well orchestrated. Beautiful!
As a huge original Star Wars fan, I can honestly say that I always felt as though the prequels were by far the best. Episode lll is iconic. Now, my 3 year old grandson is as huge a fan as I am. He made me promise I do not watch the Obi series without him. Totally crazy to ask a 3 year old if he wants to watch The Wiggles for family night when he visits and his response is always, “No, Venge of the Siff”. He has been to Disney World twice now because of you two gentlemen. You guys are fantastic together and I can only hope to see more.
@@Duke898 LOL! He won’t sit through 4-6. Only 1-3. Also, a big Clone Wars fan as well. No one can believe it until they see him watching. Good Anakin and bad Anakin from the fire. He explains it all. Kudos to these guys getting asked the same questions like 50 times and treating each one like the first time. Energy and enthusiasm every time, true professionals
Man Star Wars transcends generations. I am the proud parent of a child who loves aspects of Star Wars and hearing the actors talk about their love for the films just makes me so glad to be a fan!
I'm so glad we have these interviews with these epic actors now that we never did before. I have a new found love for Hayden Christensen now too. I've never seen him in the public eye so there isn't much to base an impression of him on. But he is precious and I wish for his good health and happiness. And Ewan McGregor's presence onscreen is always so badass, even in those rare tv/youtube adverts.
These two for almost a month now are bringing so much Joy in my life....just seeing them together talking the same things but just just being together is what makes me so happy... yesterday they were at celebration and that was the point I lost it....I love these two...And thank you Ali, you just asked some different questions....not the ones they have been asked thousands of times a day...this was definitely refreshing
This was a great interview! You could tell the interviewer was a fan too so seeing him geek out about the music, certain scenes, quotes and moments with Hayden and Ewan was great! Hayden looked like he was having a blast in this too!
I feel like both Hayden and Ewan really enjoyed this interview. I’ve seen some of your other interviews and I just love that you make the people feel comfortable 🥰🥰
I had no idea that ewan’s uncle was in the original trilogy!! It just goes to show how much more meaningful this was for him. You learn something new every day 😳
I'm amazed how basically Ali emptied a whole host of Prequel memes on Ewan and Hayden. This entire conversation is as much for him as it is for us watching.
It's hillarious how the way Hayden laughs when he says "nob" is exactly the way anakin will react, and also Ewan's expression would be exactly like Obi-Wan's 😂😂😂
Hayden laughing at the Star Wars memes gives me life 😂 Man, I miss when lightsaber fights were that cool. These guys put SO. MUCH. WORK into their scenes, they deserve so much respect. I hope they understand that they really are loved and appreciated and their movies, while not always the best screenplay-wise, are truly great Star Wars films that are beloved and the favorite of millions. Sorry it took us so long to get here and tell you that, but know that we think the Prequels are awesome, and everyone involved is a hero to my generation of tree branch lightsaber-wielding kids.
The part that took me out was Ewan talking about how Yoda just "died" after George would say "Cut!" and then demonstrated it. I have had to be resuscitated. Lol!
Ali is literally the only interviewer I can stand - or like I should say. I sometimes watch interviews he does with people I didn't even know existed. All the other interviewers just try too hard and come up with stupid games.
Josh Horowitz is great, too. If you like Marvel and follow its press you surely know, but he's become friends with the whole cast by now and he's so funny.😂
After watching the first 2 episodes of Obi Wan, I can absolutely say that Ewan McGregor still has not lost it!!! Seeing him again as Kenobi made me so happy and definitely made me relive my childhood memories of Star Wars 🙌 Really enjoyed both episodes and can’t wait to see Hayden soon!! 😎😎
Love that Ewan was comfortable saying what he said about the practical Yoda vs the CG Yoda, I think the ability we have to create these incredibly life like beings and operate them to function very realistically is a dying art form that should be preserved, Yoda, Jurassic Park, there's something about it that feels even more real and there's a beauty to that
These guys are so much fun, they're living the nerd dream. I laughed so hard when Ewan showed how Yoda "died" every time they said "cut!", that was great. And Hayden's smile still melts my heart after all these years, I feel like a teenager again.
Obi - "I've got a bad feeling about this." Ani - "I've got a bad feeling about this." Ani again, as the mask comes down - "I've got a bad feeling about this."

Normally I low-key hate interviewers in these sorts of things, but Ali is a keeper. He lets them talk, and coaxes a bit of banter out, makes it a bit of fun.
Same with Graham Norton
Bro I can't wait for josh horowitz interviewing both of them man. It will be so cool
Ali is my favorite interviewer, he has so much love for his craft and it always shows!
No , I don’t like his style of interviewing plus he seems like a casual Star Wars fan who doesn’t actually get it
What are you talking about? Ali is a celebrity himself!
Ewan and hayden are such sweethearts. Ali does some solid interviews!
Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGregor are the two best castings in Star Wars history in my opinion. They are such a good duo and they kinda of are Anakin and Obi Wan in real life. They have such a special bond.
Christensen's legitimately grateful to be here instead of bitter about how he was treated by some in the past
That alone makes all this worth it for me. The series was only OK, but it was worth it
100% agree 👌
Hopefully he gets more screen time in Ahsoka. He deserves it.
@@hodarinunduOh boy did he get screen time 😂
@@ThatGuy76985He did... but I want more! And I know I shouldn´t!
I love Hayden’s whole reaction to the “nob” 😆 So authentic
Anakin is the whole reason I fell in love with Star Wars overall. His whole entire story and obviously the fact that My kid self thought he was the most beautiful man I’d ever seen in my life 😆 I had never obsessed over another character in any movie the way I did with him and honestly at this age never will lol
Omg same!! 😂😍
sameeeee I was so obsessed with him I made fanfics in my head all the time
@@angelvodian.4635 hahaha SAME! Literally daydreamed I was with him lol. He’s just way too fine.
Yes, the same! Anakin is my fav character by far. I have just watched Revenge of the Sith and it has utterly destroyed me, like I don't know what to do rn 😩. The ending was utterly heartbreaking 😭
@@irrumnaaz fr!!!! I hate the ending so much like I love the whole movie in general it just makes me so sad lol
Ewan doing Hello there in his own voice before imitating the way Alex did it just after, almost spot on. Just shows his dedication and respect
I want Hayden and Ewan in more movies together. They have such wonderful chemistry.
I love how Hayden keeps bringing up Yoda in every interview I've seen with him. Poor guy never got to act alongside him sadly. Breaks my heart. 😭
Hayden is the Anakin we needed, but didn't deserve. Bravo, Hayden. Watching your character spawned my love for Dungeons and Dragons and many other sci-fi things. Thank you so much for all your work
It's really nice to see how Ewan is mentioning Alec Guinness in every interview.
Alec is goat
Absolutely. His 'training' for the role involved so much viewing and observation of Alec's nuances.
Hayden deserves all the appreciation he is finally getting! Always loved him in the movies!
8:59 Hayden’s face after you pointed at him was so hilarious
I so, so appreciate them mentioning the music at the beginning of the interview. It's so good!!! Leia's theme is nonsensically good, the prequels are so ridiculously well orchestrated. Beautiful!
hayden christensen has such a calming presence, he just looks relaxed and content with it all
How fantastic is Hayden, like so humble and happy it’s really refreshing to see
i'm glad the love theme "across the stars" got some...love. Its one of the most beautiful tracks ive ever heard
The real question is did you show him Episodes 4-6 first? Or 1-3?
@@Duke898 LOL! He won’t sit through 4-6. Only 1-3. Also, a big Clone Wars fan as well. No one can believe it until they see him watching. Good Anakin and bad Anakin from the fire. He explains it all. His mom isn’t thrilled about me getting him hooked on Star Wars. I was watching it while he was over and he just took to it.
Kudos to these guys getting asked the same questions like 50 times and treating each one like the first time. Energy and enthusiasm every time, true professionals
Hayden laughing spontaneously and EM a little annoyed at the `NOB` is too funny.
Seeing Hayden smile is such a simple joy that I want to see so much more of!
omg the way they look at each other at 3:07 just made me cry. right in my childhood man :((
Man Star Wars transcends generations.
These two definitely didn't deserve all the hate they got when they first came out they're incredible actors and amazing people in general
I forgot how hilarious Ewan's delivery of the "another happy landing" line was
I feel like both Hayden and Ewan really enjoyed this interview. I’ve seen some of your other interviews and I just love that you make the people feel comfortable 🥰🥰
I had no idea that ewan’s uncle was in the original trilogy!! It just goes to show how much more meaningful this was for him. You learn something new every day 😳
This guys interviews are always perfect. Nothing feels forced its always laid back.
Ewan's uncle was Wedge Antilles?
The force is strong with these two
Anakin was always my fav. I love the final scene before Anakin fights Obi Wan, he has the hood on and the sith eyes! Fucking awesome
I'm amazed how basically Ali emptied a whole host of Prequel memes on Ewan and Hayden. This entire conversation is as much for him as it is for us watching.
Hayden's laugh is everything
It blows my mind how Ali keeps the standard of his interviews so high. Absolutely one of the best and most professional interviewers out there.
It's hillarious how the way Hayden laughs when he says "nob" is exactly the way anakin will react, and also Ewan's expression would be exactly like Obi-Wan's 😂😂😂
Putting the "Of course I know him, he's me!" line after Ewan says Alec Guinness is pure comedic genius.
Hayden laughing at the Star Wars memes gives me life 😂
Man, I miss when lightsaber fights were that cool.
Lol!
Hayden's reaction was absolutely hilarious.
Haydens laugh made my day brighter. I needed this. Thank you
It just proves there's a Star Wars quote for anything. The way they added Star Wars lines into this interview that reflected the topic of discussion 😂
@kshamwhizzle Sean Evans from is my all time interviewer. I would love for him to interview Hayden and Ewan.
Ever since I've noticed Hayden and Ewan interviews popping up I was constantly checking your channel to watch the BEST interviews out there
How I love Evan and Hayden... They are insanely cute, courageous and cool actors!
Welcome back General Kenobi and Skywalker😭😢❤️❤️❤️
I cannot explain how happy I am to see these two legends together again
Ali really is a one of a kind interviewer. Better never let him go BBC
Hayden's reaction and response to seeing "Nob" is priceless hahaha
PLSSSS HIS LAIGH LOVE IT 0:54
@10:21, the way Hayden/Anakin advances with no intention to stop, while Ewan/Obi-Wan runs and trips, he's 100% Vader in there.
Literally LOVE that we have the two of them together again. Absolute LEGENDS!!! 🔥✨✨
“What’s my com link doing on the floor?” *reaches down* “I suppose I could use the force to get it” lmao I love him
This man really knows how to interview celebrities. Always a fantastic job by him.
Fans treated Hayden the way Jedi treated Anakin back then, glad everyone is happy with his return
Love that Ewan was comfortable saying what he said about the practical Yoda vs the CG Yoda, I think the ability we have to create these incredibly life like beings and operate them to function very realistically is a dying art form that should be preserved, Yoda, Jurassic Park, there's something about it that feels even more real and there's a beauty to that
These two look like they would be great to hang out with. I love their chemistry!
Hayden deserves every bit of love and respect from the fans. Welcome back, king!
The bit about Yoda achieving rigor mortis after each take is hilarious
These guys are so much fun, they're living the nerd dream. I laughed so hard when Ewan showed how Yoda "died" every time they said "cut!", that was great. And Hayden's smile still melts my heart after all these years, I feel like a teenager again.
Ali's interviews are always so delightful :)
Love Hayden ❤❤❤ he’s so amazing
Obi - "I've got a bad feeling about this."
Ani - "I've got a bad feeling about this."
Ani again, as the mask comes down - "I've got a bad feeling about this."

My man! 😍
Love his laugh, and he does the laugh and clap combo like I do! ❤✨️
Ali is genuinly brilliant at interviewing. He's one of the very few who interview film stars without it being painfull. Seems to make everyone feel at ease
