This is probably one of the movies that defined my teenage years in a way. It just captured a feeling that not a lot of other films have in my opinion, just something about it. Its a really well made movie. I was pleased when I revisited this movie recently, it holds up pretty well all things considered.
Frank Whaley has a small role as the head manager of the Battle of the Bands. You might know him from Pulp Fiction in a small role who Sam Jackson interrogates and yells at asking if he speaks English.

This is the first movie I saw Jack Black in. I think it's his best movie. Great job on the review.
Thanks. And I appreciate your patience as well with all of the delays.
I got introduced to a lot of musicians I wouldn't have known about otherwise thanks to this movie.
RIP Kevin Clark who played the drummer 🙏🏽
Jack Black Before he Lost his Mind…
Plus Miranda Cosgrove aka Carly Shay from ICarly & Megan from Drake & Josh (Before Quite on Set).
Yep

I miss the old Jack Black. Jack Black in 2024 sold out totally.
Jack Black went off the deep end.
Recently? Yeah. He was still trying to be a breakout star at this point and just had so much more passion than he does now that he's already made it.
The was is one of my all time favorite movies I like it as much now as I did when I saw it in the theater when I was 10
Hell yeah! I love this movie! Back when Jack Black was actually funny......and hadn't lost his damn mind 🤣
Fun movie
Mike have you seen The Rocker with Rainn Wison? 🎸🥁
I think I saw clips of it on TV years ago but I haven't seen the entire film.
@OcpCommunications cool
