Keep in mind, because of the time difference between each planet, what has been 1 day on Sanctum for Murphy, Emori, Indra, and Madi, has been a few days for Clarke and Raven, several months for Bellamy, and many years for Octavia, Echo, Gabriel, and Hope. Also, Octavia is now older then Bellamy by a few years and Clarke by a decade.
It feels like the show completely ignored that. Its been like 5 years since Echo saw Bellamy.

Bellamy saw a very different side of the Shepherd's belief system than everyone else. They only saw the cold, detached martial side where The Last War was paramount to everything and everyone. Bellamy saw how it can be applied between individuals, preserve attachments, and still maintain the core tenants. I think if Bellamy was in charge he could find way to merge the two sides in a way that all sides could accept, but maybe that could mean that Cadogan would have to be removed from power.
Bellamy is a sheep and always has been. He is a sheep dressed up as a wolf as he is surrounded by them. Octavia, Clarke, Murphy, Echo, and even Raven they are all wolves and he was pretending to be one but one of those wolves found him out and killed him to protect her pup. In the end he devolved into his core where some’s core may be cold as ice and some as hot as fire he is a lost sheep needing guidance nothing more nothing less.
They F'd Belamy so hard this season. First they hide him for 10 episodes. He gets one episode and he turned to the other side.

@Eric V yeah he did but the head producer Jason, was acting shady toward the actor. Like after his character was killed off morley’s name was removed from the title credits even though there were only two episodes left in the season. Yet Chuku who plays gabriel, had his name left there after his character’s death. I think they could have treated Bellamy’s storyline a bit differently but the producer had issues.

@Eric V Nothing they could do? That's a weird statement. They could just kept him dead or have him die saving his friend... they didn't have to turn him into a vilain.

Pat says it's "just allergies" but... he's definitely the type of person who would hide a zombie bite so I'd watch out y'all 💀
This season had the potential to be the best season of the show...
And the writers were like "Development and consistent storylines go wooshhh"

@@funandgames714 I doubt they'd go into that at all in the prequel, and even if they did, that's an explanation that needs to be in the actual season, especially since the prequel may not be greenlit

How frustrating to be the lead actor and have to believe this crazy storyline and perform it SO WELL .. Bob is a great actor, the producer had something against him, but Bob didn't let that affect his word even with this stupid storyline, the fact that you all at this point think this is not real, and what happens in the rest of the season and the finale, show how bad the writing was. They could have done so much more with this storyline, and they could used Bob's time so much better..
Anyway, this episode was one of the good ones because Bob was great in it regardless of the whole stupid ascension yellow light story.
i feel bad for them bc they're so into this but they're gonna be left disappointed :(

I’ve stopped watching everything connected to the 100 except for the Normies because I want to see what I consider a more independent reaction as opposed to my possibly skewed perspective (I’ve watch the show since the first ep aired and Bellamy has been my fav since ep2)
@@Vialle1014 yeah Bellamy was never my favorite so it didn’t ruin the show for me however him being there since s1 he deserved a proper death but for me it wasn’t a deal breaker

In this episode of The 100, Bellarke betrays the Normies.
I honestly didn't mind the twist and where the story was going. He has always been susceptible to manipulation and brain washing look at Pike and s3, it was shocking but was interesting. I just wanted to know from this ep why belldog did not lose his memories coming back from ethrea since bardo is a slower time dilation he should have lost his memories from etherea.
Was it different? I thought the 3 months where the “girls” were being indoctrinated was equal to his time on Etherea
@@Vialle1014 yes it was and then the whole time the three were on Skyring was equal to Diyoza and Octavia being on Bardo before they rescued them and got caugjt
@@kaystevenson2075 sorry - not understanding your response....Skyring was def faster than all the other worlds....I was speaking about Bardo to Etherea, Bellamy arrives and is “blown” through the anomaly...7 days later Echo and Co arrive and find out he’s dead, they agree to fight the war....three months later Clarke arrives and Bellamy shows up right after - I always thought Bardo and Etherea were on a similar “timeline”

Hold on bc next 2 episodes is where they ruin 7yrs of a show. The problem is not Bellamy believing, the problem is Bellamy misinterpreting his faith and worshipping a narcissist like Bill. He should have had some belief apart from Bill.

Bellamy saved clarke's life by snitching because if he didn't clarke would've sacrifice herself for the others
No no he did not because we know that he was going to let them be executed as he said in episode 12 so he may have saved Clarke’s life temporarily but she would just be executed with all the others of it wasn’t for the flame

@@prisonmike6826 Nah, the way they did my guy was dirty, and it wasn't because of the story... It was because of behind the scenes shit that was going on. It would've made more sense for him to NOT DIE! Him going all in with Bill was FINE! Him wanting to help Bill with the final war/test was FINE! You could even see in his face how pained he gets when his friends don't believe him. But having Clarke do what she did knowing DAMN WELL that sketchbook was staying behind regardless of her shooting him or not... That's where the dumb writing comes into play. Bellamy should've been on that beach. So the season was actually pretty good, but yes, killing off main characters for no reason except for some behind the scenes drama is stupid. Sorry.

He was right in the end and he died for nothing. He wanted to save them and he actually did, but they didn't even tried to hear him out and then his best friend killed him.
Not everything he believed was real. He just saw some stuff that was true about it, and it convinced him to be brainwashed by someone who did not understand if.
I mean He was literally in his near death stage & when he "Prayed" To Shepherd the Snowstorm stopped(Which the Show have not given a Reasonable explanation literally how) technically saving his life. So who doesn't believe in Shepherd, keep in mind he was on mountains for many months. :/

This is the last good episode of the season... its all downhill from here 😂😂
Many zen practitioners have visions while meditating with trance like states and time loss, exactly like Bellamy did. Some are false visions but some are from true enlightenment. When you look at it clinically, Bill's religion has many parallels to Buddhism. We automatically go to cult because it looks just like a cult. But what if it's just the show's take on another religion and our minds find fault in it because of the utilitarianism/ collective mentality it preaches, which is abnormal for alot of us who believe the opposite? I like the idea of Bill's prophecy being legit and transcendence happening at the end, I'd love that twist.

He saved them with betraying them. Yes it was wrong, but if he didn't do anything, Cadogan would have them killed. And he was right at the end and he died for nothing.
What Bellamy basically did:
Your Buddhist friend who you've known for over 7 years has always supported the fact that you're gay. Then all of a sudden he finds Christianity through a complete stranger he accidentally had an encounter with. The next time he sees you he condemns your sexuality as a sin and completely turns on you because of it. That's basically what Bellamy did. He betrayed his family who he's been through hell and back with because of his newfound religion that he's practiced for not even a quarter of the time he's known the fam. I don't care what your religion says but if you decide to turn on the people close to you over a fucking religious belief you just started having, you're a shitty person and an awful friend.
That is undoubtedly one of the worst analogies to have ever been written.
Although he didn't just find his new faith randomly. He spent over 3 months with the guy so he's really no stronger. He saw their prophet in a vision right after reciting the prayer for the first time, and the TWO MONTH SNOW cleared right the second he did pray. Gotta say many people would convert in his shoes

I think she to,d him so that he wouldn’t mess up and say something that didn’t align with what she told the Shepard. She was filling him in so that he knew enough that he wouldn’t blow their cover.

I thought the same thing! In fact, when my sister and I watched the prequel episode, we commented that Cadogan was like Gendo Ikari (terrible father, arrogant, narcissistic, obsessed with the concept of transcending, etc.) and we joked that the show would end with the instrumentalization of the human race, so watching it actually happen was weird, to say the least. We couldn't believe our joke prediction turned out to be correct!
This episode is so boring to me
it is but in a way it had to be, like they weren’t gonna intoduce giant snakes or people with the last few episodes left

S5 was the best ending of this show
To each their own it came full circle there could of been better ending but it was decent. They were always trying to keep the human race alive and they did that long enough for them to transcend and achieve true peace. Now they get to rest and be at their own version of peace and get what they always wanted when they came to the ground. The logic of it checks out and that makes it a decent ending and that is a fact not an opinion. My opinion would be that it could’ve been better but it could’ve been worse but I don’t know if there was a lot of other ways it could go.
