- In this episode of Wisconsin Foodie, the quintessential Milwaukee style pizza meets the traditional Neapolitan pizza, all in the span of one city block. Chef and Owner of the Calderon Club Gino Fazzari has cornered the market on pizza in Milwaukee. His family can lay claim to the original pizza recipe in Milwaukee, which defines the Milwaukee style pizza. Gino also owns San Giorgio, a certified Neapolitan wood fired pizza restaurant two doors down from Calderone Club. Host Luke Zahm stops by the restaurant to meet the chefs to try and determine his favorite style of pizza.

Calderone has been a family favorite for over 50 years! Oh how I wish we had pizza like this on the western part of the state! Miss it so much!
Gino has always been a great guy. It's fun when he starts talking about his Golden Glove boxing days!
Pizza is my favorite food and I look forward to trying both of these restaurants.
The egg on the pizza looks yummy!

When we take a trip to the big city (Milwaukee or Madison) we always go for restaurants that they don't have in rural areas (Indian or Japanese food). Now I want to try some wood fired pizza. *Bacon & egg pizza sounds horrible.
