I know that it's a little off-topic since this vid was about cheese curds but did you get a chance to try out a butter burger from Solly's Grille? They are the originator of the butter burger. They've been making them since 1936 and they use a fucking ridiculous amount of Wisconsin butter. They are so amazing.
Adding Tommy Smokes and taking out Lil Sas was such a good call. Admittedly I was worried that they wouldn't be able to replace Sas coming on the video to say "oh wow this is like actually really good" about a place that is famous for being good, but somehow Tommy pulled it off
Drive 40min south to Mars cheese castle next time, essentially a cheese emporium, also Kopps or Leon's for a local custard that is better than culvers that you can get anywhere now
If you want the best Squeaky Curds before they are deep fried, you need to travel to just northwest of Oshkosh and stop at Union Star Cheese Factory. The best squeaky curd 👌🏻
Did not expect to see the home city come through on Neighborhood Eats today. Lakefront's curds are great, but their beer is just acceptable in comparison to the other MKE breweries. Eagle Park, 1840, and Venture are killing it. The Heirloom food truck also has some insanely good curds.

Yes you can get Fried Cheese Curds at any Culver's in the country. I was in Wisconsin last summer visiting Family and had Cheese Curds at their state fair. They just hit differently there and were so much better!!
Why no poutine: in Quebec cheese curds are also a saple and here you can't mention cheese curds without mentioning and thinking of poutine which has ot be made with them If you try tasting/recreating a poutine but with any cheese other than curds, to us, it just doesn't work, do it justice or taste as it should at all: it's sacrilegious/disrespectful to the poutine itself ahah; we wouldn't even consider it to be real poutine only an horrible/awful version/rendition of it. (it's made with fresh cheese curds not fried/transformed ones) You can't know/see if you like it if it's not made with cheese curds... Also depending on the restaurant's recipe what the poutine will taste can really vary depending on where you go because you can have a variety of different types of fries as well as gravy sauce. I love poutine a lot but I know that I don't like the version made at some restaurants: if you didn't/don't particularly like it it the first time you tried/try you have to keep in mind you don't necessairely dislike poutine, only the recipe of that place... Also fun fact in quebec we call cheese curds (if I translate it) cheese poop (crottes de fromage) the real name is ''fromage en grain'' but we all say crottes ahH
