CNN hosted a Trump town hall because they are bipartisan and do not censor individuals. CNN attempted to hold a productive event with Trump speaking to the country. Once again, we saw the ignorant petty person that is Trump.
My father has always exclusively gotten his political “news” from Fox, and watched Tucker religiously. He wouldn’t have the first clue how, or even have a desire to sign up for Twitter, to watch Tucker there. Now if we could just get rid of Hannity and Ingraham, that would make my visits to my father even more pleasant.

The audience's reaction to Trump was the most alarming part about it. I felt like I was watching some cruel infomercial with an over-the-top laugh track.
I will say a this-more than once, the camera cut to the audience and showed an entire row of people who weren’t laughing. They were deadly serious with their hands folded in their laps while the row behind them was ghoulishly grinning and clapping.
Don’t get me wrong. It’s still sickening that there was any portion of the audience laughing and celebrating sexual abuse, misogyny, xenophobia, and rampant misinformation. But the audience wasn’t uniformly cheering on Trump.

This is true but we have many things going for us that we didn't have in 2016. First off, we got a massive wake up call once he won that election and then the following 4 years proved just how terrible he was so we saw record turnout in 2020. His disgusting behavior over that one term and how he handled losing the election ALSO turned away people who voted for him before. Then of course there was January 6th. So with that all on voter's minds I don't think the 2024 election will be anything like the 2016 election. We just have to stay focused and get people to go out and vote. Voter apathy is the biggest problem we have.

Considering the turnout to get him out of office I have faith that we'll see that again to keep him out. It's not like people who voted against him before are suddenly going to decide to vote for him in 2024. And there are plenty of Republicans who were turned away by him and very likely won't vote for him. I'm not saying we should let our guard down and consider this an easy victory but I don't think it's going to be a super close election either. We just have to encourage people to go vote and realize what's at stake.
Even some republicans that claim they don't agree with trump still says they will vote for him if he runs. Get as many to vote Blue as you can.

I would never underestimate the stupidity of humanity as a whole. I have definitely heard people say they regret voting for Biden bc of some bad shit that happened, bad shit which was actually the Republicans' fault, but they are so good at propaganda that Biden is blamed.

I’m sorry, but I respectfully disagree. It will be more difficult for Biden to pull a win, given where his popularity, especially with Democratic and young voters. The big problem is that Republican voters are enthusiastic about voting for Trump while a large majority of Dem voters are not enthusiastic about Biden. I’m afraid that many young voters will stay at home like they did in 2016.
