Well right now here in southwest Michigan heavy snow, 27° with a 25 mile an hour west wind so it feels like 13° and bad drifting snow with possible 14 inches by tomorrow night, and we already have 6 inches here since yesterday afternoon. So I wouldn’t mind the weather your fishing in, because at least your fishing. 👊😁
The new 3D printed Oakies by Robolize are solid plastic vs the orginals that we hallow. Robilize does offer student densities of plastics but the opacity of the new ones can't be better
All the rules for waterfowl apply. Forward motion of the boat caused by the engine must be stopped. I don't recommend it unless you are 100% sure of all the private properties, houses and campsites.
I have nice gortex gloves but they're hard to put on with wet hands and too bulky, especially when you're tying knots or cramming shells. 😆 thanks for watching.
Gene are your okie drifters the lure Jensen ones or the true originals? The true originals were made different than the lure Jensen knock off. I hear the Robolize ones are more true to the original ones. The Robolize are made like the originals and most importantly they are translucent... like the videos! I live on the otherside of the river than you do between Olequa and Toledo.
Mine are a mix. Some are older than me. And that's old!. 😆 The Robolize one are very reflective and translucent. I'm sure I've fished past your property many times. Thanks for watching. Appreciate it.
I am. I had to re-do the logo and I'm waiting for the prototype. Once I have it in hand and make sure it's good I will let everyone know. I'll make a post in the community section.
i will never understand how people say "you talk to much, not enough fishing." if it bothers you that much get off your couch and go out and fish. or better yet pick up a camera and film it if you think you can do better.
I love your boat. It’s very nice
Thanks.
Great video, I love steelhead fishing!
Thanks. So do I.
Love the videos man. I'll be down there in the next few weeks. Been waiting for the Tacoma power numbers to pickup. Tight lines 🎉
Thanks. They're coming. Good luck. 👍
Love the content, and I love finding gear. But next time please grab the bait cup too 💛
There was a lot of stuff left. I started to get worried about my ride floating away. Thanks for watching .

I like them. seem fishy.
great content! great info! nice rig too. what are the guidelines (i.e. times, limits) of shooting geese or duck from your boat?

@@Northwestfishingfanatics cool thanks!
I like to use the gorilla grip gloves you can get them at homedepot and Lowe’s the gloves have pores that help drain the water work greattt 🙌🏽

Need yourself a nice propane heater in there with ya for those cold wet days
I have a couple collecting dust. 😆
@@Northwestfishingfanatics they sure are a game changer on those nasty days in the sled
Hey Gene have you ever tried pulling 3.5 mag lips for steelhead?
Yes, I do pull plugs here and there but my ADD gets the better of me after about 10 minutes. :-)
What size boat do you run 🤷🏼♂️
It's a Smokercraft Sportsman 1660. 16'7" long, 60" floor, 86" beam.
@@Northwestfishingfanatics I’m from the Midwest and am looking for the 60” seems to be a lot more stable than the the majority that are 48”
@@kahuna13135 super stable awesome boat. I'd prefer a 90/65 on it.
Hey Mr gene. You ever fished the carbon river? I think I met you there before and you gave me your real estate card? Let's go fishing!
Probably did. I used to fish it every morning before work when the Pinks were in. Haven't in years though.
How I got stranded on the Cowlitz River... Could have been the title of a new video.
Imagine the video from the boatnas it floats away. yikes.

@@Northwestfishingfanatics sounds good . Would love to represent your hat in Steelhead Ally . Keep up the great videos

Wonder if my massive collection of true oakies is worth anything? Lol
Too much talk,not enough fishing
