Sumana Saman is not a YAKKA , he was a DEVA ! This is a big mix up, please correct it

How do we know who is who, is it because a book said so, someone said so, or perhaps the legends said so? Yes dragons and unicorns exist! Is this the education, half of the population is graduates, or perhaps very high standard of education, creme de la creme, best of the best in the world.

North India and Sinhalese are bound by culture, language and even blood yet most people don't know of this ! And some even try to disprove this reality and truth ! Especially South Indian origin peoples and South Indian origin people among Sinhalese

@@subodhispace3011 the evidence is overwhelming, the Sinhalese genetic evidence points towards what the Mahavamsha says and that is north east Indian origin. Over 70% of the Sinhalese genetic admixture is West Bengali Kshathriya origin. Bengal is what the Mahavamsha calls VANGA rata

I think saying that indians and Sri lankans the same is the most flawless and incorrect thing that someone could claim just because Sri Lankans have culture based of Buddhism and Indians have a culture based off Hinduism and other religions so if it something about Sri Lankan and Indians that there are not the same

@@BogalaSawundiris and what is this vanga rata ? I don't know where you got the figure 70% but I agree that Sinhalese culture have a mixture of Bengali Kshathriya but that doesn't mean Sinhalese is entirely Indian. I don't agree with the history saying sinhalease are from india just because of vijaya is from india. Their were people living in sri lanka before vijaya and these people are the real Sinhalese.

@Bogala sawundiris Archeological evidence shows a longer history than Mahavamsa, therefore we have to think beyond literature

@@subodhispace3011 The Yakka's were not the torch bearers of Buddhism and never adopted Buddhism as a major religion as they were already strongly adhering to their faiths even after Buddha arrived to meet them , this is historical fact and even fact in Buddhist records , you cannot adjust it to fit your narrative

Firstly Buddhism is *NOT* a race, or ethnicity. *Even if* Yakkas and Nagas become Buddhists that shows so called Sinhala / Hela race / ethnic group *did not* exist till Vijaya arrived. Even with the existing smaller and smaller number of Veddas, or Adi Vasins prove that there were earlier tribes occupying the Island long before Vijaya and Buddhism arrived in the Island which was always close to the southern part of the Subcontinent, and there was a land bridge long before nature and sea eroded it, to separate the Island.
