*Update Below* So I'm guessing my case is a bit unique, I've watched several videos and read many comments and almost nothing aligns with my situation! My left *upper* eyelid twitches and for the most part it's *not* random! It'll happen when I yawn, sneeze or I'm having a exciting conversation and making many facial expressions! This started happening about 8-10 days ago! It's normally just a slight twitch but on occasion it'll feel like someone is literally pulling my eyelid lol, its not twitching like a erratic blink but instead my eyelid jerks to left😅 its weird So my twitch has all but subsided (thank God) I came across a man named Dr. Berg on here and he breaks down the *exact* causes of eye twitching! After watching his video I adjusted my eating habits and boom 🤯 my twitching is basically gone!
Been having it for past 5 months, upper left eye lid. No caffine, no stress, sleep very well, drinks lots of water, no allergies, doctors just gives me the round a round, i dont know what to do anymore. When ever i sneeze or yawn (using face muscles) it triggers it the most.
I'm so sorry you're experiencing this problem. It can be so aggravating. Just keep taking care of yourself and hopefully you will find a way to prevent it eventually.
Thanks Dr, you've been very helpful. I think I can definitely identify the issue with my twitching eyelid. Tired eyes, too much screen time. So, I'm going to take your advice and put away my device at least 2 hours before bedtime.
It's very annoying when my right eye keeps twitching. And now I know why, I have been working more than 10hrs a day, my work is mostly focused freelancing that means I spent most of my time on PC or Mobile phone devices. So I am definitely going to do your suggested solutions. Thanks a million. 👏 👏
That explains so much, I’ve been having eye twitching lately for 3 weeks and this video help me a lot, I should’ve wear my blue light glasses but now I will wear my blue light from now on. Also every time I take off my contacts or wear my contacts I usually get eye twitching and I got scared for a second since it kept twitching constantly and now gonna start doing yoga and gym to ease my stress. Thank you
Hi, thanks for covering blepharospasm! I had eye spasms for years, all the doctors told me it was normal (assumed it was twitching), and to hydrate, or stop with caffeine, stress, etc. Turned out it was levodopa responsive dystonia! It took four years to get a diagnosis. Both my twitching and spasms are triggered by aspirin or salicylates in food. Kind of a weird case, but always hope it helps someone. Oddly, the blepharospasm started only in one eye for a few months, but eventually evened out to both, like you mentioned. I've had it for 16 years.
@@joyhappyhappy2583 Hi - I went to a neurologist for the dystonia diagnosis. Later after working with allergists and doing an elimination diet, I figured out it was the aspirins and salicylates (and fragrances) that were triggering it. Best wishes.
I am glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for sharing. I am sorry you had that experience! Thank goodness you have received a diagnosis. I hope you will have permanent relief from these issues!
I have this too and have dry eyes! Lubrication helps but I didn’t know about blue glasses! LOL, I’m 78 and not very techs but I do use my iPad a lot in the evening! I do have this thing with my eyes, but don’t use caffeine in coffee or tea nor alcohol ( no I’m not Mormon) but I do have a lot of stress as my husbands not in good health. Thanks for this video. I just ordered blue glasses from Amazon.
I've been getting this off and on for the past year... I have a bad habit of googling everything so that made me think I had some kind of brain tumor 😬 ...your video is so helpful!
I have been dealing with one eye twitching for a whole week now. I only drink one cup of coffee before work, so it can't be the problem. Must be work, tired all the time stress. 😢
Ive been having a twitch in my right eye for 3 weeks now and its giving me panic attacks because i thought it was a symptom of a serious neurological problem. Ive been sleeping more and cut caffeine completely for about a week now but i think the constant panic attacks are the main factor now. This video helped calm my nerves a bit thank you so much
My left eyelid twitch is pretty bad, I first noticed my right forehead muscles just above my right eyebrow twitching the same. it would go into my upper check to through my right temple. No idea what’s going on, I sleep well. I don’t drink anymore. I do vape abit! But I am on my phone a lot for work! I exercise and walk a few miles a day! Because it’s my face I hope it’s not tumor related! :/
My eyelid has been twitching on and off for several weeks now. I have also been having an occasional ache in that same eye. I just had an eye exam and she didn't notice anything out of the ordinary other than my vision because little worse than my other eye. I'm not under stress. I do have dry eyes. (I'm 63 years old.) I drink a cup of coffee in the mornings only and a glass of tea in the evenings.
(Update) When I originally watched your video, I was on medical leave, in which I was staying up very late until 4 or 5 in the morning. Once I returned to work and had to go back to a normal sleep schedule, I noticed the twitching of my lower right eye start to subside until eventually it completely stopped. Thank you for covering this subject as you saved me a visit to my primary care over something that was fixable in my routine. I appreciate your help.
Can I ask something I can’t find the answer to please… can you eventually fully go blind with this condition? Or can you completely prevent that from happening with procedures to keep the eye open? Thank you so much xx
I have this in my upper left eyelid. It has occurred intermittently for years, but recently it has been occurring every day for the last 6 weeks. I don't drink much caffeine, I'm not very stressed, and I *was* getting good sleep at the time when the twitching started, although I recently started a new job and have been sleeping less. It usually gets triggered when I touch my face around the eye, like when I wash my face in the morning.
My eye has been twitching for about 3 weeks. I don’t feel stressed. I did have my 3rd child about 5 months ago. I do get good sleep. I do however wake up on my own around 3-4 in the morning and can’t get back to sleep. Idk how to fix my sleep pattern. 😕 I don’t have caffeine daily, just once in a while. I like the way coffee tastes.
"It is normal." I hope it's normal! It's been going on for more than 12 hours at this point and it's really starting to bother me... I have a piece of tape holding my left brow in place because it just won't quit twitching and it's getting annoying/weird/concerning! I hate it, but IDK what's causing it(it's probably stress). I'm not very smart but I feel like I know when something is ... A little off.

I had continuous eye twitching for 2 weeks and then subsided. I was diagnosed with small fiber neuropathy a few months later after many tests. Is this a symptom?
I had lower eyelid twitching for over 8 months when finally the GP agreed to refer me to the ophthalmologist. I cried every week cause it was so embarrassing (it was visible). I had a lot of stress going on at that time but no matter what I did to help it go away, it was twitching intensively. Finally the ophthalmologist gave me 10 units of botox in that muscle (it’s a common treatment they do for blepharospasm too) and I was symptom free for 6 months. Then it came back so I had another. I had 4 in total so far but the last one I had was over 14 months ago. Going to bed before midnight helps. Finding ways to manage stress helps. And botox helps, if it really doesn’t want to go away. I hope this helps someone!

My left eyelid have been twitching now for two weeks. I'm not stressed, so it's not the caus, and I have been really stressed in my life but never had eyes twitching. I don't really drink coffee, maybe once per month drink some Latte. It twitches only then I move or strongly close and open my eyes. However my work is all day on computer so that may be the cause, could try getting those glases

It’s not my eyelid that’s twitching. It’s the bottom part of my eye. I remember 20 years ago when I took human anatomy and physiology my professor told me that that was an electrolyte imbalance. I was also going through a lot of stress at that time. But now here we are 20 years later in my right eye will not stop twitching it’s been doing this for a few days now.
Dear doctor, I had a stroke 2nd of September, my right eye wouldn't open.where ever I ook my eyesight is blurry the eye doctor prescribed 3 different eye drops, the drops don't seem to work.please advice me.thsnk
I suppose the categories I fall in are not getting enough sleep and maybe dry eyes. Thank you for discussing this issue, I was about to make appointment to see a doctor about it. I will try a few things before going to bed, it is hard to put down your phone at night when streaming it so accessible.
my right eye lid started twitching since March 2023 and now it's June 2023... non stop twitching it's effecting my day to day... it distracts my house work really effecting me alot..I can't even focuse om anything
I have had a tremor in my lower eyelid for 1 month and literally, during the day, it goes back and forth several times. It's not super aggressive to the point of closing the eye or being uncomfortable, but it's very boring. Could it be something serious?
An eye doctor once told me that I had dry eye because I wore eyeliner on my waterline and to stop doing it because it was blocking the glands that lubricate the eyes and that if I kept it up by the time I was 50 my oil glands would be shot
@@ireact3886 Well my eyes twitch when I have higher stress or not enough sleep or too much caffeine, I don’t wear eyeliner as often at all and it definitely helped my eyes from tearing at the outer corner often
Mine left eye , bottom below the eye lid twitches. Not the eye lid itself, it looks like the area right below the eye lid. Is that the same thing as described in this video ? Or different?
Ouch! So sorry that is happening, Diana. Are you feeling better now? It is hard for me to say without seeing you in person. Please go and see your local eye doctor if you can.
I started with eyelid twitching , unilateral, and It turned out to be Hemi Facial Spasm , a neurological condition, not serious but that needs to be diagnosed and treated by a neurologist So if twitching doesn t stop with simple remedies, better have it checked!
Doing well, thank you Treatment consists of botox injections around eye and cheek every 4 months approx Alternative is surgery , which I do not intend to do, if botox keeps working well as it has for past 10 years.
A day ago I was doing pe in school and this boy accidentally bumped into me and then I fell onto the grass and hit my head. Then suddenly my bottom right eyelid started to twitch randomly throughout the day and today as well. Idk if it’s a coincidence or if it’s cuz I hit my head
I'm having it for 3 weeks It happen only for short period for 1 or 2 second and then become normal and then after some minute it happen again mostly in my left eye
Good Morning! With post covid Im noticing more eye twitching only on one side of my head(righy side). Could this be a long haulers issue due to overactive nerves?
Hey Stefanie! It is hard to know for sure. It certainly could be. I would go to your local eye doctor and see what they think. I have done a video on how COVID impacts the eye. I will link it here:th-cam.com/video/RgbBN6TlWAk/w-d-xo.html
In Louisiana they tell us your left eyelid twitch your going to have an argument and when your right eyelid twitch, something good is about to happen to you
I am sorry to hear that, Avegail! A few other factors could also be fatigue, stress, and dry eyes. I hope that you find some relief soon. Thank you for watching.
This is my second day , my left eyelid twitching almost all the day . My workplace is lil bit more stressful then others. I heard this symptom is high blood pressure , Is this correct ?
I went to eye care 4 days ago to get new glasses & the doctor check everything & said I was good but the whole time while I was there, I was experiencing anxiety & cried when I got home because of my anxiety & me thinking of bad stuff haha. Anyway the next day or two, my eyelids started to twitch & my whole eyelid of eyes were feeling funny or some type of pressure but no pain. Also I decided to change my sleep schedule to get a whole 8 to 9 hours of sleep, so I'm assuming it's because of my anxiety, stress or the change in sleep schedule that cause my eyelids to act like this, right?
I have had stints of Myokemia daily and frequently on and off all day for up to 5 months which went away for 10 months and came back a month ago. I’ve seen a neurologist who believes it to be benign but I find it frustrating so I wanted to pursue botox. He gave me the first injection yesterday for an area that I’m finding very irritating at the side of my left eye, so I opted just for that one spot but one injection site he made was a fair bit underneath the actual twitching area. The bit that is twitching is the crows feet area or my left eye, and the injection is just a bit lower than that area - I did point them area out so I’m hoping it wasn’t mid interpreted but would one injection for twitching in that area that isn’t directly in the same area perhaps still help to stop or lessen the severity of the twitching do you think? I would just love to know what would normally happen for people who require Botox for twitching in that specific area x

Hey Raminta! Thanks for commenting. I'm sorry you are having that experience. If you try the glasses let me know if they help you.
What is the app that shuts down wifi before bedtime? Thanks

I’m sure the stress is a lot! I hope it gets better 😊
What a relief, I thought my left eyelid gonna explode or some worm in it will pierce through or whatever else
I am glad I could relieve the stress!
Drinking ACV and cutting down caffeine helped me
Nice! Thanks for sharing.
What about protein shake I use boost protein shake. Protein shake have caffeine yes or no. I have little bit of stress.
Some do and some don't. I just looked it up and it says there is no added caffeine but there is a small amount of caffeine in the chocolate flavor.
It’s currently happening to me and I must say I’m guilty as charged about the trifecta. Thanks for this video, I will work on that
My GP told me it was a magnesium deficiency. I started taking magnesium it seems to work.
Can you tell me what brand you are using? Can you provide a link? 😘
Thank you for sharing your experience! I appreciate your comment.
The blue light from our computer screens decreases contrast, which can lead to digital eye strain. Medical professionals assert that this has become very common for both children and adults. AsPrevent Blindness explains, nearly all blue light penetrates your eye’s retina, passing right through the cornea and the lens, resulting in Computer Vision Syndrome. Is microcurrent around the eye bad for you? Hoping to keep or lift skin around eye.
Thank you,

Can the eye twitching be caused due to not exercising? I work from my home and sit in front of my computer the whole day. I do wear blue ray glasses but the twitching is still there.
I am in med school..just after my first year exams i am experiencing left eye twitching from last 20 days ...i am worried ..there is no stress, fatigue, dryness, alcohol, caffeine in my case..on googling i thought its blepharospasm but now i know its not..what should i do now
It’s not my eyelid that’s twitching.
Goodness. That sounds so aggravating!
Dear doctor, I had a stroke 2nd of September, my right eye wouldn't open.where ever I ook my eyesight is blurry the eye doctor prescribed 3 different eye drops, the drops don't seem to work.please advice me.thsnk
My kids been passing around pink eye and I wonder if this was a symptom but I don’t have the symptoms of pink eye
It is possible!
I suppose the categories I fall in are not getting enough sleep and maybe dry eyes. Thank you for discussing this issue, I was about to make appointment to see a doctor about it. I will try a few things before going to bed, it is hard to put down your phone at night when streaming it so accessible.
If you have any luck with the at-home treatments, let me know! I hope it helps! Thanks for being here.
my right eye lid started twitching since March 2023 and now it's June 2023... non stop twitching it's effecting my day to day... it distracts my house work really effecting me alot..I can't even focuse om anything
I have had a tremor in my lower eyelid for 1 month and literally, during the day, it goes back and forth several times. It's not super aggressive to the point of closing the eye or being uncomfortable, but it's very boring. Could it be something serious?
Does perimenopause have anything to do with this?
What are your thoughts of SOM? I just got diagnosed with it a few weeks and trying to treat it with gabapetin.
How to stop eye twitch?
My bottom eyelid has been constantly twitching about 3 weeks now and i dont do any of these..
Maybe stress? So sorry! I hope it stops soon.
My eye has been twitching for 2 months, and my other eye began to yesterday
So sorry!
My eyelids are not twitching when open but everytime I close them they start fluttering up and down. Any idea what this could be?
Same here. If I squeeze my eye shut then open it spasms. Lol
I never drink coffee n don’t take stress I don’t have fatigue but my eye is twitching since 3 4 days pls help
An eye doctor once told me that I had dry eye because I wore eyeliner on my waterline and to stop doing it because it was blocking the glands that lubricate the eyes and that if I kept it up by the time I was 50 my oil glands would be shot
Just seen you have a video on this 💕
Omg… I wear eyeliner on my waterline all the time. Have you stopped wearing it and felt the twitches stop??
@@ireact3886 Well my eyes twitch when I have higher stress or not enough sleep or too much caffeine, I don’t wear eyeliner as often at all and it definitely helped my eyes from tearing at the outer corner often

I'm dealing with this right now! Ugh, it's been a week. But the upside is that it finally got me to get off caffeine for good.
Its been around 2-3 weeks happening to me its really irritating…hope so it gets fixed
I hope it has resolved!
Updates?
Does calicum & magniseum supplemets helps?? thanks
Mine left eye , bottom below the eye lid twitches. Not the eye lid itself, it looks like the area right below the eye lid. Is that the same thing as described in this video ? Or different?
It happens in my right eye in my under lid. The first few days I was like, wtf?! And then I didn’t drink coffee one morning and the twitching stopped.
Why would one eye have a sharp sting every time one exercises, specifically cardio? I am near sighted. Thanks 🙏
Ouch! So sorry that is happening, Diana. Are you feeling better now? It is hard for me to say without seeing you in person. Please go and see your local eye doctor if you can.
I’m currently under stress and my left eye is twitching
Do you know if cervical issues or tmj can cause eye twitching?
I started with eyelid twitching , unilateral, and It turned out to be Hemi Facial Spasm , a neurological condition, not serious but that needs to be diagnosed and treated by a neurologist So if twitching doesn t stop with simple remedies, better have it checked!
Definitely! I'm sorry you had to deal with that. How are you doing now? Thanks for sharing that with us and for watching!
Doing well,thank you
Treatment consists of botox injections around eye and cheek every 4 months approx
Alternative is surgery , which I do not intend to do, if botox keeps working well as it has for past 10 years.
@@adriaba790 Awesome. I hope it continues to work well for you 🙂
Is this video magical 🫨 yesterday morning I watched this video and still now I don't have my eye twitched ❤
Yay!!
How do I get her to be my pcp.
A day ago I was doing pe in school and this boy accidentally bumped into me and then I fell onto the grass and hit my head. Then suddenly my bottom right eyelid started to twitch randomly throughout the day and today as well. Idk if it’s a coincidence or if it’s cuz I hit my head
Oh no! I hope you're feeling better. Did you go to the doctor?
@@DrRupaWong no I didn’t
I'm having it for 3 weeks
It happen only for short period for 1 or 2 second and then become normal and then after some minute it happen again mostly in my left eye
In Louisiana they tell us your left eyelid twitch your going to have an argument and when your right eyelid twitch, something good is about to happen to you
Interesting!
i am facing this from last 45 days so annoying
Hi ma'am my left eye is twitching and then it close my eye what should I do? Its almost a year I don't drink alcohol and caffeen.
Involuntary muscle spasm. My eye is always closing and twetching
Blepharospsm involuntary close my left eye thats what happen to me it's almost a year. Can you gave what I'm going to do.
My eye twitch is constant it doesn't stop. should i see a doctor? ive had it for two weeks now
I would always suggest seeing the doctor if it is constant for you. They may be able to help 😊
Glad I'm here and found solution. I was using the motorboat method for months and it wasn't helping
It definitely could be! I hope it gets better soon. I'm sorry you had so much anxiety. :(
Check your calcium levels. Its a nutrient issue !!!!!
My eye twitching has been happening for two months now. On google it says it could be a tumor. Should I get my eye checked out?
If you are concerned always get checked out! Try not to worry in the meantime.
If botox is given to it, do u have to keep going back? I’m depress and kept thinking of my twitching, do you have any solution
Hello, I had eye twitching from a lil anxiety attack I got when I got pulled over by an officer and it hasn’t stopped. Now my eye is red and burning sensation. Should I seek medical help
