Pretty sure that given its a cyberpunk word and the Raiden saying zandacorp wont follow them to neo inazuma because its on the surface, we could assume the surface is dangerous, likely irradiated due to nuclear war, which also involve the skies being covered by dust clouds. So maybe most people in this world haven't seen the real sky
Progenitor is an underrated masterpiece, it's just the idea of Genshin × Cyberpunk themed that makes these fan stories thrilling, Especially that it's from an animator who used to work on RWBY, I don't know how these combinations work so well.

It’s hard to believe it when her character is so poorly used and portrayed in game lol. Honestly applies to a fair bit of the cast up to Inazuma. Characters only really start getting better writing in the Archon quests by Sumeru.

It sucks because it meant kokomi and gorou had like 5 minutes of screentime and got massively character assassinated. The writing team was still good back then, you can see it through raiden’s story quests, but they got massively rushed during the AQ and the quality suffered, which sucks because raiden was the only archon to feel like an archon and her region got hit by low quality writing the hardest.
Yeah like, there are just different types of smarts/intelligence. Just coz she’s dumb at stuffs related to humans/modern world, doesn’t mean she’s dumb overall.
I know it’s probably just because “haha water ladies unite” but having Mona play not just an important role here (and hopefully going forward too) but also having her character have close ties to Albedo is so good when you know they are also closely tied in genshin. It’s not really heavily referenced so far onscreen but voicelines and stories show they work together because of their similarities goals in being truth seekers. ALSO MY GOODNESS THAT SHOT OF THEM WITH ALBEDO’S SIDE AT DAY AND MONA’S AT NIGHT. They’re literally sun and moon. Can’t wait to see what Mona meant at the end
Plus the fact that the rivalry she has with Scaramouche from the stars event way back is so cleverly referenced here. Strikes such a good balance of original stuff while still grounding so much in the original Genshin lore.
@@moondu Definitely!!! Mona already had a voice line for albedo since the start of the game, long before he was even released, and Hoyo doesn’t just forget about these things. 3.5(? Idk but the 2nd windblume event) had them finally interact onscreen and we get confirmation that Alice rhine and barbeloth (Mona’s master) all knew each other, so their ties go even further Tldr: Mona and albedo (maybe klee) are gonna play some crucial role in the game down the line mark my words

I was fully prepared for her to actually be a villain in this and i was like. I hope the crew realises even if she’s a villain im absolutely rooting for her because her character had so much potential in genshin. Even zyox thinks canon kokomi is awful and that man is the ‘if kokomi has no fans i am dead’ man. (Also despite just being a fan theory i was so sad when kokomi WASNT the hydro sovereign that genuinely woulda been such a cool twist 😭)
Raiden's ship being her sword's scabbard is honestly one of the sickest ideas ever and the execution was absolutely flawless. I stopped playing Genshin a long time ago as I didn't personally enjoy it anymore, but this series took these characters and really breathed new life into them in a way I never thought possible. And the animation is just absolutely phenomenal, perfect to the most minor of details and that's what makes it so exciting to watch! The score is amazing as well, especially when they're all entering the storm and Raiden uses her sword. You can FEEL the power that Raiden, Shogun and Scara have and it does them so much justice. Amazing work!

6:22 i rewatched this part at least six times because of how badass it was, Kokomi smiling as she get sliced in half and then Mona’s little face is just perfect in all ways.
THE FORESHADOWING in 5:33, with Mona's eye dilating as she picture perfect stares at the incoming ball, and then the arm that stretches out towards her.. I was thinking WHO'S ARM IS THAT, but the way it immediately cut to a closeup shot of Raiden diverted attention so well and makes the audience think it's her, the plot twist is so satisfying and realising WHO THAT ARM WAS.
The first time we encountered Scaramouche in one of the first Genshin events was with Mona at our side, and she seemed to be the only one that knows him. That, the big hats, knowledge of the night sky and the matching color palletes were probably the thing that activated the shippers.
the voice acting is really good and Nomad dodging all the stars gave me hella studio Trigger vibes omg that was so well done, and Nomad's quiet call out to Raiden, oof. But hot dayum L-1's first line was 10,000% ahahahaha so good. well done!
this is such a well made episode and nomad's laughs at 3:09 and 5:22 are so *chef's kiss* plus,the way l-1 said "hello mona" is so sexy-😳 anyways can't wait for episode 4
Raiden still being an absolute unit of a character still holds up even here. That demand to answer her questions speaks for itself. But getting tricked by things that she couldn't see clearly is such a huge call back to her actual character holy shit. Kokomi screwing her over by using a hologram is such a tactical thing that she would have for sure thought of. Sara getting that last hit in before he goes down is just perfect. Dark Albedo being around an being a something Albedo is going to have to worry about is such a interesting plot twist but holds true to his character. He supposedly has the power to destroy Mondstadt. That power is seemly what Kokomi is worried about. So many things from the actual game got carried over to this series its insane.
Yeah but this was so full of shananigans like in last fight between mona and albedo where raiden was just hanging out of the spaceship. Like are you seriously telling me she cant get in cause of silly wind?

I'm screaming I'm throwing things at the wall this just gets better every episode??? All the references to the character fighting styles, especially the scara boss fight moves are just. !!!!!!! So good. THE FIRST TO BETRAY ME WAS MY MOTHER absolutely certain O2 is gonna come back dressed in blue. And Mona ugh her cyberpunk design and abilities are so g o o d, and we have Susbedo and Ekanomiya I'm so so pleased thank you so much for this work of art
Some people do animation to keep up with their algorithm some do animation to satisfy their sponsors but rarely do I see huge effort done by a team for passion. With passion comes proper writing, plot and setting. Only then you start to animate. Passion is no longer the impact of peoples work since the rise of living costs. Well done Dillon and team, you have shown an excellent first impression.

oh my GOD combining elemental abilities with robotics is genius! The Musou no Hitotachi's sword being part of Raidens ship? Kokomis jellyfish being a transport? man i cant wait to see how other characters are adapted to this!
I hope we'll get to see more of Kokomi's brilliant strategies, make her toy with her opponents more like how a genius war strategist should be.... She was really brilliant in this episode, really didn't expect her to lay out a hologram to lure in Raiden so the one she'll hit once she brings out the big sword would be Nomad. Essentially achieving their goal to get Mona to Albedo while keeping the others in check.
The details in this entire animation are just masterful I especially love how Kokomi's look of shock turns into a smirk once the hologram gets exposed, and how Mona's "omen bubble" pops when they hit the impact of the water. She even baits Albedo into opening his eyes by relaxing her grip, making him think she got disoriented. amazing stuff
I can’t wait for part 4. To be honest this needs to be made in to a complete series. Reminds me of how RWBY use to be before Monty Oum passed away. Keep up the great work.
scara's fight sequence with mona is just so absolutely perfect - the colors, the movement, the expressions, i've literally watched this over five times now and it still goes so hard each time

Is no one gonna talk about the Zandik namedrop because that reveals *so much* about the plot. We're fighting against the Original/Impostor Albedo (y'know, the one from the cinnabar spindle quest) and DOTTORE.
well tbf they have been fighting against zandicorp (zandik-corporation [i think]) so afaik dottore's been the main antagonist from go. but it's fascinating to see how the characters have deeper, more personal connections to him and reasons for fighting against him!
Absolutely captivating animation and storyline, one twist after the other! I love how you implemented their in game skills in this futuristic environment without them seeming out of place for even a second! Truly immaculate work!

She is running a nation that is basically surviving without good agriculture of any kind. Despite being out-manned and out-gunned she still managed to have an equal battle against a nation ruled by an Archon. A lesser feat is that she won the TCG tournament that involved the smartest people in all of Inazuma. I believe there's a good number of ways she has shown her intelligence.
Damn the references to their abilities like with Mona's taunt being a hologram and esp her Ult which imprisons enemies were all nice touches!! LASTLY: Now THIS IS WHAT A TRUE WAR STRATEGIST SHOULD BE LIKE, KOKOMI WAS BRILLIANT HERE

I genuinely love how this show has such unique new concepts for each character, while also managing to maintain and reimagine said characters' abilities or backgrounds to fit the show's theme more. Albedo's clone, Mona's skill taunt and constellation trap, and Raiden PULLING A SWORD OUT OF THE SPACESHIP?? This has gotta be one of my favorite series on the internet BY FAR for its insane production quality and respect for Genshin's original designs
Don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet but I love how 02 shook his leg as he was trying to control back the ship after being irritated and woken up XD Love the little detail!
Always love seeing these! Super fun concepts and designs. The way things like Scaramouche's hat, Mona's twin tails and Raiden's sword pulling is translated and integrated into this sci fi world is so creative and fun. You guys hit all the right story beats, the twists and turns are always fresh and exciting =) Congrats to the team for all your fantastic work! Looking forward to the next ep!
kokomi being done so well in this series + dark albedo being upside down being a parallel to how upside downs is a big concept in the actual game. this animated fanfiction will never fail to amaze me.

Raiden still being an absolute unit of a character still holds up even here. That demand to answer her questions speaks for itself. But getting tricked by things that she couldn't see clearly is such a huge call back to her actual character holy shit. Kokomi screwing her over by using a hologram is such a tactical thing that she would have for sure thought of. Sara getting that last hit in before he goes down is just perfect. Dark Albedo being around an being a something Albedo is going to have to worry about is such a interesting plot twist but holds true to his character. He supposedly has the power to destroy Mondstadt. That power is seemly what Kokomi is worried about. So many things from the actual game got carried over to this series its insane.

Some people do animation to keep up with their algorithm some do animation to satisfy their sponsors but rarely do I see huge effort done by a team for passion. With passion comes proper writing, plot and setting. Only then you start to animate. Passion is no longer the impact of peoples work since the rise of living costs. Well done Dillon and team, you have shown an excellent first impression.

I hope we'll get to see more of Kokomi's brilliant strategies, make her toy with her opponents more like how a genius war strategist should be....
She was really brilliant in this episode, really didn't expect her to lay out a hologram to lure in Raiden so the one she'll hit once she brings out the big sword would be Nomad. Essentially achieving their goal to get Mona to Albedo while keeping the others in check.

I especially love how Kokomi's look of shock turns into a smirk once the hologram gets exposed, and how Mona's "omen bubble" pops when they hit the impact of the water. She even baits Albedo into opening his eyes by relaxing her grip, making him think she got disoriented.

Is no one gonna talk about the Zandik namedrop because that reveals *so much* about the plot. We're fighting against the Original/Impostor Albedo (y'know, the one from the cinnabar spindle quest) and DOTTORE.
well tbf they have been fighting against zandicorp (zandik-corporation [i think]) so afaik dottore's been the main antagonist from go. but it's fascinating to see how the characters have deeper, more personal connections to him and reasons for fighting against him!
Absolutely captivating animation and storyline, one twist after the other! I love how you implemented their in game skills in this futuristic environment without them seeming out of place for even a second! Truly immaculate work!

She is running a nation that is basically surviving without good agriculture of any kind. A lesser feat is that she won the TCG tournament that involved the smartest people in all of Inazuma. I believe there's a good number of ways she has shown her intelligence.

I genuinely love how this show has such unique new concepts for each character, while also managing to maintain and reimagine said characters' abilities or backgrounds to fit the show's theme more. Albedo's clone, Mona's skill taunt and constellation trap, and Raiden PULLING A SWORD OUT OF THE SPACESHIP?? This has gotta be one of my favorite series on the internet BY FAR for its insane production quality and respect for Genshin's original designs
