I got this rod but in two pieces the top part of the rod its a little wobble not stiff. I also got the piscifun carbon xcs bait casting reel, saw good reviews about the reel, has 8 bearing's cast really smooth if u guys want to buy it
Man glad I found this comment. I got the 7’2” heavy as well which I was going to use for frogging. Couple of people were telling me that the rod wasn’t a good choice. How has frogging been for you? Mind telling me what line you’re using and the weight of your frogs?
DailYxDosE I’ve liked my 7’2 heavy for frogging. I personally feel it’s better for heavy jigs/ swim jigs, open water frogging, and some lighter flipping applications. It just doesn’t have enough backbone to pull a fish outta thick pads. They did just recently come out with a 7’6 heavy for frogging and flipping which I would have gotten instead, if it had come out. I do really like the torrent series though. Really good for the price
DailYxDosE you can probably get a full refund and get the 7’6H if the return date hasn’t passed. Piscifun legitimately has the best customer service out there
Looks like a good rod for striped bass fishing. For those fish having some stiffness is a great thing since those fish have very strong mouths and hard lips. They also pull nearly three times harder than a largemouth of the same size as well and if your rod isn't stiff enough you lose them because of the lack of a strong hookset.
I got the spinnerbait rod from piscifun and my reel seat has the same problem. The rear is flush but the front is little off. Otherwise i love it for a low end priced rod.
watch it like 20 more times lol... j/k, but Id suggest you just buy one at first and see if you like it. The best thing i can say about this particular rod is that Im very inexperienced at fishing jigs and i could absolutely tell between a fish strike vs hitting structure.
You should try out the Phoenix feather rod. 2.5 oz or so dont remember off the top of my head. Mine held up to a 30 lbs carp snagged on the tail. Give it a try

Perhaps it would be wise to check the comments section of Amazon for the items your review. I saw the pick-up thing also. On Amazon Reviews a number of people stated that the rod tip broke off. Based on your review, I bought one also and did not read the Comments section. My rod tip broke off also. Piscifun has not contacted me.
Amazon reviews have nothing to do with this channel. You need to understand that companies have special "online promotional" staff to go around posting good reviews of their brand and bad reviews of competitors
I have 2 of their rods and I dont think they are bad for the price, guides were straight unlike 2 of my dobyns rods one of them had a broken eyelet when I got it and the other the eyelets were bent

That opening on the reel seat is for added sensitivity so u can get direct contact with the blank.. that’s the theory anyway

Got the 7'6" mh for plastics and 7'2" heavy Torrent for froggin'. For $58 on Amazon, they are like a sore peter, hard to beat. Lol

To be honest I didnt expect much in the way of sensitivity but I was pleasantly surprised. I can look over the reel seat for $60 lol

Since the Phantom reel is so light it made the combo too tip heavy for my tastes.

My piscifun perseus is now a paper weight after rusting out bearings in light saltwater use.
why not just replace the bearings?
THE REEL TEST why would you do that? It’s a much better “told ya so” to use it as a paper weight and let the internet know....
but rusted out bearings happen to reels of all different price points. Sounds like the reel still works, just need new bearings
