I don't think ppl are difficult when it's THEIR project that THEY wrote or they just actually care about the project they're apart of. Nothin wrong with getting it right and making it as best as it can be.
Did you miss the part where he wouldn't even speak with the rest of the cast and only would talk to the director like a fucking oil prince yeah no the guy seems kinda a POS narcissist.
You missing a huge part of why he quit acting. His father diagnosed with Alzheimer. He explain that his father love him on tv. He never thought that he was a funny person. His father never knew that the man on the tv and the man who takes care of him was his own son.
We love Mike! If anything I am upset that it felt the video was rushed. Mike deserves a quality video! Mike doesn't have to do anything else for me, he has made his mark!
Robin Williams too. He had depression and had at times stole jokes whom he paid the people he stole from. Had some deep pain that he instead of shared, he distracted us and entertained us.
I love the Austin powers character. I look back like yoooo I was kind of young to be laughing at those movies. But still they are classic iconic movies from that time period. Its few movies from that time period that has that kind of humor and you can still watch and enjoy. Scary Movie 2 is one of those movies.
The guy made my childhood special. Have many good memories with my cousins and friends watching, imitating and quoting his work. There will never be another like him.
Sounds like he got away from industry politics🤷🏾♀️ Kudos to him they always say that when you don't allow yourself to be played. Parrice Oneil broke it all down. Look at his TH-cam on Hollywood with opie and Andy guy.
I'm not quite sure which way this channel was trying to lead the viewers, but EXTREMELY talented people are usually PERFECTIONISTS. Their art is their soul. When I hear, "difficult to work with/control freak" it just seems so incredibly petty. I could watch Austin Powers, or Shrek films every weekend. SO, I MARRIED AN AXE MURDERER, was an underrated film. Writing, acting, dancing, singing, etc. The man is a genius.
When you know you’re value and worth and you actually care about your craft or what you put out or how things are done you’re labeled as difficult. That’s what I got from this.
Thank you for this… I’m a big fan… And I wouldn’t have expected this from Comedy Hype. It goes to show how tapped in y’all are to the culture & who ‘we’ find truly funny regardless of race.
People may disagree with me but Idc, a lot of the movies today aren’t as great as they use to be, and Mike Myers will forever be a favorite/legend. I miss seeing him on screen.
My dad used to ride the bus with Michael when he was nobody doing radio shows in Toronto. Apparently Mike would always start lighting people up on the bus and basically doing stand up because he said if you can make someone laugh on a bus you can make em laugh anywhere. My father was always kinda quiet and dressed in the entire 80s rocker look , to this day he thinks either wayne or garth is loosely based on himself.
Mike was in one of my favorite movies "So I Married An Ax Murderer" sooo funny! Look like Myers is very rich and living comfortably I'm sure. I believe he was in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood so if he left, he didn't go far🤷
Well, if the definition of "Difficult" is a diligent perfectionist that has made a lot of people, a lot of money. Then Mike Myers ain't such a bad guy after all.
Okay I’ve heard like 50/50. I’ve heard from people who have worked with him or met him IRL and they say he is a really cool guy. Then there are others who say he is difficult to work with or a jerk IRL. I don’t know which it is since I’ve heard contrasting viewpoints from different sources. I will say this though: for someone to create such big hits and large productions with great comedy YOU have to be a very DEFINED person and many people who are very defined can get a lot done, produce some very creative work.... But the downside to being highly defined (meaning you know what you want and you get it done) requires a lot of self discipline, hard work, and sometimes this type of character profile embodies the negative by-product of perfectionism. Perfectionism is stifling to those around us and creates difficulties. So....I am not surprised that while he can be a cool cat, when he is on set, I see the OCD part coming out.

Interesting break down. I have often wondered what happened to him. I am not surprised to hear about him being so difficult behind the scenes… sounds like the norm with fame and all. However, as many have stated in that comments he have made more than enough money to retire. I hope that he is healthy and happy at his past success. It’s funny because I did not get into his comedy until many years later… I definitely enjoy Shrek & Austin Powers! I was never into his other character of Wayne’s world… it reminded me of bevis & butthead and I never found them entertaining… 😐 I’ve been told that I missed out on the funny… 🤷🏽♀️
