Absolutely fantastic work,I could watch you using your watchmaking skills all day long . Fascinating and really informative videos, good luck in all your future business ventures
got my 39mm with the white dial on the 3-link "Bader" bracelet watch on AMZWATCH 3 weeks ago and am loving it to pieces. Absolute fantastic watch that wears super comfortable on my 6.75 inch wrist. Chose the 3-link over the 5-link bracelet for the toolless quick adjustment. Way more comfortable than my Longines Hydroconquest 41 mm.
Can’t beat gold polished Roman numerals that sparkle like jewels in the sunlight. Loving the sun ray dial man that pops!AMZWATCH watches. What a beautiful subtle piece.
Picked up a MAMACOO's watch as my first watch last month and I’m absolutely in love with it. Perfect size, looks elegant, very comfortable. Now my only problem is holding off from buying more watches so quickly!
I can answer that a bit, I feel parts are in a lot of cases not to bad through ebay but, there are a couple of parts hard to get and crazy expensive. The mainplate and balance are most expensive if needed to replace other than that I feel it's a bit more expensive then vintage GS parts. I had won a 1500 model for a 1200 euro all in, but it said for parts only and I thought well I can get it running, big mistake because I had to replace quite a lot of parts to get it in a running state.
You must be among the luckiest people on the planet to find a watch that calibre for this price, even if just for parts or defective. I’d nearly say this just doesn’t happen in normal life. Good for you man, liked the video very much.
Greetings from Northern Ireland Peter. Always a pleasure watching your restoration vids. If I need a vintage Rolex restored, I will be engaging your services. Keep the vids coming!
Spectacular work again peter. Always love seeing proper craftsman work. But 1 thing I would really love also would be a side by side with the older. Really show the level of artisanship.
MAMACOO is one of my favorite watch manufacturers they do offer beautifull dials, good workmanship & moovements. That smooth sweeping second hand is truly mesmerizing!
I'm always amazed when I see a professional like you working on a watch! It actually baffles me to think of all the different parts that are there and to keep track of everything as you go through is so fun to watch for someone who will have to wait until my next life to be able to do this! Keep them coming, like I say every week. Love you videos!!!
Peter, if this was a family heirloom I could see leaving as original as possible, but for a cheap find my preference would have been to at least replace the crystal, If the watch was mine of course. Great video.
Great video, very accurate analysis. In my 4.5 years in the game as a watch collector and enthusiast, I collected a lot from MAMACOO I was thinking I was able to get a blue SD but I'm not vip enough, but I'm not giving up. Hehe. Great video.
Beautiful man, inspired me to grab some used bergeon screwdrivers for cheap and a few other basic tools to just fiddle with watches, love the content mate!!
Thats excellent restoration work. Doesnt even look like the same rolex😮. That clasp and bracelet looks like new! Theres was that deep scratch on the clasp that no longer is visible and looks new.
@@Peterpic Honestly, I prefer the vintage models. The Rolex's I have are mostly the 70s and 80s. I have a 1956 Oyster Perpetual that has a somewhat interesting story. I do have 2 modern Tudors, The Glamour and the BB Pro 29. They are quality builds and are better in every way than my vintage pieces. However, IMO they lack the character and the quirkiness of a Vintage Rolex that is well built but might have a noisy rotor or a clunky C&I bracelet Did you sell it yet? I didn't see it on your page. How much is it?
It’s amazing you have this skill . I could watch this all day long . I have an old watch from the 70s that was my grandfathers when he first came to America . I wish I could handle business with it to get it ticking again. Thanks for these videos
@@Peterpic it’s a “jubilee” says on the dial . It has a wittnaur movement not automatic. It was his first thing he bought with his first paycheck when he got here in 1971 . Means a lot to me not very valuable.
How do you alter the beat error? I have never seen it being done and I’m just starting work on watches slowly and would love to see that. Great informative video as always with great craftsmanship. Thank you brother 👍🏻🏴
Pete, love your Rolex restoration videos. I do not own any yet however I have vintage Grand Seikos, Omegas etc. Love the vintage pieces. I want to get a 1601 DJ silver dial/fluted bezel on jubilee, I like the tapestry dial also. Get one eventually to go with my vintage collection. Pete I notice the older models have a more domed crystal, was that factory?
I don’t mean to brag but I picked up a 1978 1500 for $800 a few months back. It has a gold zephyr bezel. And crown. Great video by the way. Mine needs some work. You wanna fix her up?

ehh for this specifically keeping all of the original parts was key for exterior but it can always be swapped at a later time
Some of the best work i've seen on YT, really tasteful and skilled restoration
