It's always nice to hear As I Am, but come on, they don't play Endless Sacrifice since 2011 and In The Name Of God since 2010, and both songs don't contain many high notes that can make LaBrie have a hard time. And even if LaBrie couldn't sing these songs anymore, they still have Stream Of Consciousness.

Train of Thought will forever be my favorite DT album, got the poster hanging over my workspace. They definitely need to play these songs more often live. This Dying Soul and Stream of Consciousness are still absolute fire. Recent tours have only focused on the new albums or anniversaries of older ones.
I have seen them on the IAW tour and James was heavenly struggling , people were walking away and that's not good , so he has to be prepared, singing coach etc, high pitching days are over, not sure if DT understands that. Hope that the next album will change that, first two songs are promising about his singing in a lower key
Vocals over cellphone microphones are so painful to listen to. But yeah that was definitely my all-time favorite DT album. Probably my favorite track on the album too (outside of stream of consciousness)

He is not trying to prove anything. Cameo is a service for fans wishing to receive a customized message from artists they enjoy. This video is part of some message Labrie sent to a fan. That is all. And he doesn't really need to prove anything to anyone at this point.
People don't have any problem admitting that sports stars can get injured or old and be well past their prime so they can't perform. They fail to perform at once lofty standards and they rightfully get told to retire. But all the fucking deluded DT fans are in denial about how terrible james is compared to what he used to be and how bad it is hearing him sing old songs. It'd be like if Tony Hawk was still trying to compete in vert skating in 2021. And you give him 7s and 8s because he's your favourite and he used to be good Many older singers are far closer to their peak than him. He sounds OK for a local band singer when he used to sound solid for a virtuoso prog band singer. DT cannot perform old songs because he's declined so much. Countless young, or even not young singers could sing all james' parts decently. And the guy barely even writes lyrics so not like they need him for the creative process. As sad as it is he needed to go as soon as they realised he wasn't coming back to his old level back after recovering from the food poisoning. If John Petrucci started getting sloppy and missing notes how would you react? He's dragging the band down at this point, and it sucks to say that given the circumstances of his vocal problems. They replaced a singer when he joined, do it again please. It's like an old, lame prize racehorse trying to race at the Kentucky derby. Many fans of the instruments are straight up turned off only by the vocals, and it means only the most dedicated fans keep up with DT I love James' vocals back in I&W. after Awake, he only sounds decent, with an annoying tone at times in studio, and OK to horrible live.
