@@Techspin Funny how nobody mentions this in their reviews ''THE VOLUME CONTROL ON THE CONTROL POD DOES NOT CONTROL THE HEADPHONE VOLUME'' This is absolutely absurd when even cheap $10/20 speakers can do this and this cannot that is the fatal flaw with this set and why i would give a 1 out of 10 its a piece of crap!
@billybobbob3003 No all caps, we have respectful discussions here, thanks. For the feature, it's never guaranteed, and in my experience for PC parts, most do not. superuser.com/questions/1159511/speakers-dont-control-headphone-volume/1159517#1159517 To you, it's missing a feature you need; I also agree this is a good feature. We do our best to evaluate PC products fairly, and it's not expected functionality. For home theater and with an AVR, of course it would control the.... Yeah. I'll make a note to call out the lack of this feature. Good catch. 🖖
@@Techspin every cheap 2.0 speaker set with volume control and headphone jack on the speaker itself in my experience boost the audio and has the ability to control the audio of the headphone just like speakers themselves.
And you and I have different experiences, too! It's true I've found a set or two that will control headphone volume also, but not 'every' for me, anyways. 😊
I have this Z313 set. I have to say the sound is absolutely amazing for $30 bucks. Anytime a friend or family member comes over while I have these on and they hear them they always say things like wow your stereo system on your laptop sounds great or something like that. Gets a compliment all the time. Note: I have found over the years that a good "song" for testing sound systems is the song "Eminence Front" by The Who. Just try it and you will see what I mean. Peace!

I was gifted a Logitech outfit over 20 years ago and have been very satisfied with every upgrade, currently Z906 5.1 for the den -- and all their other components. I've used the same Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse for 10 years or more. A friend of mine has the Logitech Z 5500 5.1 in his family room for movies, music and gaming. It can peel the paint off the neighbor's house at 3/4 volume.
I bought these speakers after watching your video and they are exactly as you describe them. For $32 (what I paid) they are a steal. I really like them. I thought the remote volume/power pod was a stupid idea until I realized it's super handy, and you can leave it sitting right next to your mouse. I kinda wish the speakers were louder, but I also wish my PT Cruiser would go 200 mph. Z313 - great speakers for the price.
I tried to be careful how I talked about the sound field because I really wanted to give people realistic expectations... also not 100% happy with the sound range, but for the price, pretty dang great. Your comment gave me a chuckle, thanks!
My wife and I recently bought these speakers. Logitech products never disappoint, and these were no exception. Only complaint I have is that some kind of bass boost would add a bit to these, but is certainly adequate enough as is. Best $30 I ever spent regardless. These speakers more than suit our needs for music/movies/games etc. sound quality for the price is more than worth it, almost too good to be true. Check these out, you won't be disappointed.
Yeah, that is true. You might be able to adjust the bass in Realtek Audio's EQ, if Win10 updates haven't nuked it. Windows is really all about removing Realtek Audio control, the EQ, jack assignment and delay settings for surround.

I don’t see a good reason to complain. This is not a fortnite video. It is a review for speakers. If you want to watch someone play fortnite, you could go to a fortnite TH-camr
@Ezio Auditore It's decent enough for the price vs wattage, at this price range budget =/=quality, however these punch above their weight, with the sub filling out the lower end. The points made are still there, sounds reasonably good and loud too but no amazing sound reproduction. But for what these are, they're a solid choice.
I’ve owned these speakers since 2014 with no issues other than a small rust ring developing inside each of the satellites. The fact that they’ve lasted this long is crazy for the price point.
To be honest Josh, they have the potential to last a hell of a lot longer than that. Some claim they've been using the same Logitech speakers for 15 years and more.
Small important details when measuring for your setup, right? Glad we could help. Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! Thanks for your support!
The speakers have a two year hardware warranty so check the date on your receipt! At least in the US they do... For the money they're pretty damn good. I'd try a tier up with the Z333's, better sound every one says. Don't forget to subscribe, and connect with us on Twitter, we have monthly giveaways!
I'd like to get these for casual youtube/movie watching/music on my PC. For gaming though, not even the most expensive set of surround sound speakers can beat a good quality pair of headphones for accurate positional audio.
These or the Z333s which are better sound wise are good choices. I agree that headphones provide a different dynamic for surround, but unless they have multiple speakers in each can, it's actually virtualized surround- made through software to sound like that direction. The issue with this is its coming from just one speaker, so bass will eliminate directionality. I've played Shadow of Mordor on both Arctis3s and a Logitech 5.1 and the difference was huge. Then again, not everyone can position the rear/sides close enough to get the same effect. But a true surround system wins hands down. I used to do car stereo installation back in the day, and run a Sony AVR 7.1 setup in my living room, custom ceiling rear channel 6x9s. Soo sweet, but again, not everyone has the space or budget for that! Don't forget to subscribe, and connect with us on Twitter, we have monthly giveaways!
The ONLY benefit for Bluetooth is electrical isolation, no hum or noise transmitted to the speakers via electricity. However the audio is compressed so you lose fidelity, and there is a small amount of lag introduced, not good for competitive gaming.
Bluetooth speakers are made for music... "on the go". There are some expensive BT speakers that deliver ok sound, but I have not found many that deliver great sound, and none that deliver excellent sound, part of that has to do with the wireless compression I mentioned. Then again, as stated in the video, I wasn't 100% happy with the music sound with these, but they are the loudest, best sounding set for the price. But if you find a good deal, let us know!
I'm gonna say... no? The z313's don't have a good sound reproduction due to peaks/dips in the audio profile, especially music playback. Based on a listening sample, the TMN300 seems a bit better performer for delivering audio, with 40W RMS power. Haven't seen much from Microlab but they're on my radar now, thanks for that. Seems like a lot of commentors on videos are pretty happy with the sound from older Microlabs 2.1 systems, too. Please subscribe!
Well, for the price, they're pretty good. Lots of better sounding speakers our there though, but I'm glad you're happy with yours! Check our Twitter for our current contest giveaway! Don't forget to subscribe and thanks for your support!
If you're spending near $100usd anyways, check the z506 5.1's. I have two older Logi 5.1 setups at the studio, great sound for a price that can't be beat. Plus get more enjoyment out out Netflix/movies and games. Just a thought!
Don't have the Z313's, but I do have the Z120's and Z130's. Of course, these are 2.0 systems but they can be excellent when using them with a quality source. I currently stream an Audio Technica LP60XBT to a Logitech Bluetooth Receiver connected to the Z130's. I'me telling you, they sound rich and spacious this way, better than just streaming stuff from my phone. It shows that what we feed our speakers is the foundation of great sound.
There are certainly ways to work around the limitations of this set, including the weird peak and uneven bass reproduction, but the thing is, most users won't be bothered. The review represents the out-of-box experience, including all the good and bad points. The Creative Pebble v2's have a much more even and pleasant sound, albeit no sub so bass reproduction is good for their size but limited compared to the z313's. For better sound, the Pebble v2's are better, for louder, this set. Glad you got yours to work the way you want though! Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! Not on the unit. Logitech is expecting you to do this in Realtek Audio control (PC) or the player you're using. It can be too bassy if you're watching late night. The Pebble V2s we reviewed are better sounding and less bassy, but not as powerful. Please subscribe, thanks for your support!
I was going to get a set of creatives since my older set died due to cat. I saw these at Walmart, and I decided that I'd pick these up. They're pretty good for the price.

For anyone considering these vs the z623: I have had the z313 for what feels like 6 years now. I have them hooked up to a sennheiser gsx1000 (the "old" version, prior epos). I have the gsx1000 set to movie mode and the z313 are astounding for games, music, movies, and youtube. (I also have the philips fidelio x2hr in the gsx1000 as well) I picked up the z623 system from bestbuy around 5 hours ago. After hooking them up, playing around with the gsx1000, and onboard audio, I was shocked how terrible music and doom eternal sounds on the z623. Everything was extremely bass biased, vocals and instruments were not as clear as the z313. In my opinion, I think this is due to the large driver size on the satellites, and the over reliance on the subwoofer.
While I'm glad it's working well for you, the z313's do have pitfalls that other commenters have pointed out, the bass is peaky and inconsistent, and the mid range also has some peaks that makes music sound a bit off. You're running it through a $200 gaming DAC, so you can easily change the EQ for better sound, though on Windows the Realtek software can be challenging to get working sometimes, and some may just be hooking this up to a source without an EQ. This 313s are powerful for the price, but for better sonic quality the Creative Pebble V2s are our hands down choice at this price point. Please do subscribe!
@@Techspin for sure. I'm not sure if the z623 I had were a dud or what. The satellites just sounded terrible. When hooked up to my motherboard directly, or through the gsx1000.
@Mai Va Lee even if that happens after 6 months I think for 30$ its still worth it. I could just get another one worst case scenario. So far I had it for almost 2 months now and still sounds amazing. Maybe bec I only used about 30-50% volume inside my room for gaming and watching movies.
Static noise when you adjust volume is the knob wearing out, but if it's kinda intermittent without touching volume then it may be a bent/partially broken wire or grounding fault in your electrical system. Speaker static or AC whine can be difficult to track down!
Maybe it was over-driven? No problems here yet, but then again, some products do fail faster than others. My unit was store-purchased, so not supplied by Logitech.
@Mai Va Lee Sorry you had issues with the Logitech, but I've had zero problems with my 4 sets over the years. Saying a whole company's product line is low quality when you buy a cheap set... well, you get what you pay for. Your opinion would carry more weight if you suggested other brands/models that you've found worked well for you, instead of just pooping on Logitech ;) Thanks for your comments!
Sounds like either a headphone jack issue or wiring issue. Try unplugging/replugging carefully, and sometimes too far in the jack/not enough in the jack will cause the bass to wash out. Please subscribe, thanks for your support!
But the Creative Pebble V2s are actually better sounding tonally, might wanna check that review we did. Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! Thanks for your support!
These speakers weren’t great out of the box but after a few months of use they burned in or whatever and now sound just as good as my old set of speakers I had
Answered in video: th-cam.com/users/liveQoye8hwlXcQ?si=1holTnEzCjAJN0OU&t=4510 Agreed. I don't think the range changes... they have weird harmonics out of the box but perhaps with a little use and also getting used to them, they started to sound better. These are powerful but for the best sounding for cheap the Creative Pebble V2's are the winner. Please subscribe, thanks for your support!
Hmm, we have some of the older speakers from this lineup, I'd actually say that the x230 is likely to be better than this. That or the Creative Pebble V2s we just reviewed that have much better sound, though not as much bass. Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! Thanks for your support!
Hello Techspin! I'm an average guy on a budget and I am planning to buy this set. 4 years ago you created this video and now I am still watching it and it helps. One question, I am not a tech savvy but when you said about placing the subwoofer far away from tower? what does it mean? Is it okay if I put my subwoofer beside my computer monitor and near my PC? my space is kind of tight. I hope you can read this
Subwoofer usually have larger magnets so I'd be careful sitting them directly next to a PC or other electronics. Best to sit in on the floor if possible. Please subscribe, thanks for your support!
Thank you for the response @@Techspin :) so its best to put subwoofer under the table then! I was wondering it would take a different noise if its far from me or under the table where my pc is on top beside my monitor. Thank you so much! big help
i have these but they make a pop sound whenever my mini fridge goes off/on. speakers on a surge protector power strip and fridge into the wall that the strip is also connected to. any possible fix?
Move the pc/speakers off the same circuit as your fridge. If you think about it, the issue is the dip/surge the fridge is causing, and you certainly don't want your sensitive PC exposed to that over the long term if there's another way to power it! Corollary: Sure you can take getting punched multiple times, but isn't it better to move from that situation? 😂 And certainly never put your fridge and PC on a surge protector together, that compressor kicking on will make short work of the protector and any sensitive connected electronics. Check our Twitter for our current contest giveaway! Don't forget to subscribe and thanks for your support!
@@Techspin yeah ill have to look into moving the fridge. theyre not on the same strip though, just sharing the wall outlet. guess t doesnt matter. thanks
Usually replacing a fridge is a bit expensive, but there may not be much wrong with the condenser, might just be a bit old. In the meantime... Try running a heavier type extension cable to your PC setup from another outlet for a test. The extra separation may lessen the popping noise, just an idea for ya
I just bought one and use it for TV output. I replaced the Logitech satellites with another pair of USB powered speakers with minijack connector and connect it to the Logitech subwoofer. That drop between 400hz and 900hz you mentioned seems to be reduced by the very slightly bigger satellites (~usd$8)
Glad it works for you but we do not recommend swapping speakers as the 3.5mm plug delivers speaker level power, not line level. Even if the speakers are part of another set and use speaker level, the ohm mismatch could fry the mini amp in the sub, your speakers, or both. The cheaper the product, the less fault tolerance it can have. Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! Thanks for your support!
The bass is strong(er), keep in mind the wattage, but it's not bad. Port noise? You a car audio enthusiast? 😀 It's not really strong enough to drive the port fully, but no whistling/rattling from the port. Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! Thanks for your support!
hey i just bought z213 and immediately gave it to Return after playing it had not good bass was not so good as i expected so what about this z313 should i order it or not ?or would you suggest me any subwoofer which gives me good bass
You simply can't get great sound for this price point. Need to look in the $60-100 range for better sound. Test speakers in store if possible, like we suggested in video. Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! Thanks for your support!
You'd be surprised how strong the magnet needs to be to cause harm to your electronics. Youd be fine with this system just a couple feet away from your tower.
I have some Edifier speakers although not that exact model, but similar. The Edifiers produce better sound overall and can get decently loud. These Z313's have a weird audio profile with dips in some frequencies and the bass generally is much bigger here but has some unusual resonance at certain frequencies. With audio, you generally get what you pay for, so the higher cost Edifiers will probably be better for you. Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! Thanks for your support!
Sir question regarding the controller how does it work? Is it if you plugged an earphone, it will work both? Or if you turn off the power button it will switch to the earphone. Or the moment you plugged the earphone it will switch to it Thank you
When you plug in headphones, the output from the speakers is disabled. Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! Thanks for your support!
if you plug an earphone into the jack in the controller, it will disable all the speakers including the sub and the audio will be redirected to the earphone. also anothee thing to note, the on/off switch and volume knob will also be disabled when you plug an earphone to it. it will be on, all the time even if the knob is turned off. as for the volume, since the knob doesn't work you can only adjist your earphone's volume through your earphone's volume controls(if it has one) or from your pc. the on/off switch is really misleading. I honestly thought that it's for the earphones/headphones. 🤣 so everytime I want to use the speakers, I have to remove the headphone/earphone connected through the controller which is too much of a hassle. I hoped that there was a button for enabling the earphone/headphone so that we don't have to keep unplugging the earphone/headphone everytime.
Just use the motherboard audio out, that will be sufficient. No difference for lower end speakers especially this one which has non-flat sound reproduction. Please subscribe, thanks for your support!
well...how does it work connected to guitar over the sound card? On distortion? Anyone? Because i dont have 500$ for an amp and im living in a small apartment 😐
No controls for that here. You won't find that in the $30ish dollar price range usually. Need to use software EQ or the EQ of a connected device. Please subscribe!
Yeah even with the Creative Pebble V2s delivering much more accurate sound, the raw power and bass of these still can't be matched. Problem is the sub can be peaky at a few notes, but for the price, still really good. Thanks for the comment. Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! Thanks for your support!
The Logi x540's? I have two of those sets, their sounds is really great considering the size of the 5 satellites and price for 5.1- but these cheap ones have peaks in some frequencies and don't reproduce music accurately. If you're looking for budget, the Creative Pebble V2s have much more accurate sound th-cam.com/video/mUBXWjX6CHw/w-d-xo.html However for power at this price, these are the hands down winner. Nice video, thank you. The vocals concern is problematic for me since I was hoping to attach a turntable to this set of speakers. I guess I will have to dig a bit more in the pocket.
The vocals are a bit punchy and the audio response defintely isn't flat. They're not bad for the price and what they can do. If you need better sound, yeah, you'll need to be in the 80 to 100usd range minimum probably. Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! Thanks for your support!
Different levels of speakers, aren't they? Edifiers you listed are $10 more, so you would be looking at the Z323's I think. I actually like Edifiers a lot, great sound usually for the price, but really, if you want good sound you need to look around the $80 to $100usd range. Down around $30 or $40 is too hit and miss, hard to tell if someone would be happy with that quality of sound or not. And please subscribe! Thanks for the support!

@@Techspin I downloaded an EQ program that lets me adjust the frequencies. It's called Peace Equalizer. It made these speakers sound much better after I custom tailored the frequencies. It's freeware and you can save your profile. I don't know much about the program but so far so good.
No that's likely feedback from the way you have things plugged in. Make sure both your PC and speakers are plugged into the same power bar. If the Series X has a headphone jack, yes, as that's how these connect. However if the jack is only on your controller, I'd really recommend against it. Need a monitor (or AVR) with stereo out, in that case.
A solution where you connect these to your TV/monitor will be way easier and remove any usb compatibility issues as the 3.5mm adapter would have to made specifically for Xbox X.
I'm looking for some good audio system for my room to use it with a phone but with a really poor budget so, are this a good choice or is it better to get a Bluetooth speaker?
Thanks for the interesting question! Living in Asia and working in schools, I have heard & used several dozen kinds of bluetooth speakers, and they are definitely outclassed. A 2.1 system will deliver much better stereo separation, a ton more power, and actual bass. The z313s are the best deal, hands down. If you can afford it though, around the $50 mark the Logitech z333's have better sound reproduction and more power. They are often on sale, too.
Get this and get a Bluetooth receiver. I had mine for five days now and I have no regrets. Works well with Bluetooth. I have a more powerful and better sounding Altec Lansing but it's tiring to listen to after about an hour. I'm happy with it and I'm sure you will too.
As mentioned in the review, it produces good power up to almost max. Getting near max, it starts to distort. How to fix this? Buy more powerful speakers! That's why we recommended the Z333's if you want better, louder sound. Don't forget to subscribe, and connect with us on Twitter, we have monthly giveaways!
Yes they will work that way, use the headphone jack on your TV. Note that if you're looking for full, rich sound, these aren't the pair to choose, but these will give you louder sound that's peaky in a few areas. Sooooo, old boyfriend gave me a set of these, not new.....everything plugged in.....no sound....lol...green light is on on control. I'd try using a different source, like a phone's headphone jack or other media player, to test out the speakers. If you're plugging into your PC and getting weird sound, like with no bass, could be there's a misalignment on the pins inside the motherboard's port, I've seen that on older PCs. Testing with various sources will reveal the issue.
You're comparing an $100 audio all in one unit to a $30 2.1 system, apples and oranges. The $100 is likely to have better sound fidelity, but the sound separation can't compete with 6ft of cable between L/R on the Logi. The bass will be better on the Logi also, obviously as a sub box blows any mini enclosure out of the water (due to air volume and resonance-think car audio.) So if I wanted to use these outside in a sunroom to play music while out in the pool will we be able to hear it in the pool from the su room? It's about 100ft away from the pool
Nah you'll need house speakers for that. You might be able to kinda barely hear them, but with no walls to reflect sound and that 100ft/30m distance, it'll be pretty weak. I'd grab a second hand amplifier/AVR and some second hand towers, you'll spend more but get a much better result. Make sure you Google the amp output in watts and the ohms it takes for the speakers! Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! Thanks for your support!
For my headphones, I use nice open back Sennheisers. However, I don't want to wear headphones all of the time. I'm getting these because I have these speakers in my office, and they sound incredible. I remember being stunned when I google the model and saw they were only like $40! Great review.
Well thanks, but for accurate sound reproduction, these aren't great, but they are loud and cheap. The Pebble V2s we reviewed sound better, but aren't as loud. But we care more about sound quality so we recommend the Creative Pebble V2s, but if you need loud sound, then these will be fine. Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! We actually have two pairs of these. If you have an 8'x10' room (2.5m x 3m) then these will be just ok, with a little for the 1000hz for male voices and a steep drop-off for bass, there really isn't much at all. As to be expected for $10 speakers! However, they're pretty tough and so far, reliable, but in a larger room their maximum volume is their weakness. Still we have two pairs, which says something, they're useful and portable.
In either the EQ in the media player you use, or you may be able to in Realtek Sound control. I also wish these came with a bass control knob! Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! Thanks for your support!
It should play music through the earpiece speaker, but no mic functionality though, as the port is marked headphones. 7 watts rms power (z213) vs 25 watts rms(z313). You'll have better lower end over the basic $10 Logitech speakers, that's all. For decent speakers, save up a little, and look in the $80-$100 usd range. No budget? Then the z313 is the best option. Really no budget? Then $10 Logi speakers. However we may consider covering this pair in the future, thanks for the suggestion. Check our Twitter for our current contest giveaway! Don't forget to subscribe and thanks for your support!

May be a stupid question but what's the purpose for the headphone jack on the volume controller, if its for connecting a headset what the point in that?
The volume controller serves a dual purpose; it allows you to control the volume of this speaker system, and it allows you to connect 3.5mm jack headphones. Note I didn't say headset; that would infer the possibility of using a mic, which you can't with this port. my subwaffer is dusty. has sat in the same place since I moved in... but have been using the same Creative 2.1 set I picked up at Wally-world about 8 or 9 years ago. can't even remember model. but has decent sound for small apartment and can still annoy the neighbors through the walls. also has enough thump to rattle the windows if ever crank it up that far. was about $40usd at the time I think. my youngest has a set of Logitech speakers for his desktop that can get fairly loud but no subwoofer with it. but for $10 they do what they need to.
I remember larger 2.0 speakers with some decent power. Now they're mostly 2.1's that have the juice. These speakers aren't bad for the price, though I'm guessing the current 5.1 sounds slightly better.
I still have an even older set thats about 16 years old with the powered drivers. They need serious cleaning and some tuner spray but they can make the desk rattle still
I'm looking for some budget speakers that are compact'ish. I don't have a lot of desk space and wanted something that didn't have a big footprint or a multiple unit setup. Your thoughts on the Creative Pebble V2s?
Hi! I have those speakers, and my sub-woofer doesn't work... All the cables are connected correctly, all the drivers are updated. The sound is loud and clear from the satellites speakers, but nothing comes out from the sub-woofer =( I can feel it shake just a little bit only. When I open the sound mixer, if I turn off the left and right satellite speakers, there is no sound at all. If I go to settings and test the sounds 2.1 (or even 5.1), when it tests the subwoofer, no sound comes out of it. Do you know what I can do to fix it please? My system is Windows 10.
Well, the subwoofer is hard wired, no way to turn it off. So it there's no bass coming out of it, you'll need to warranty it. Play some house music and see if there's any boom coming from it, if not, time to take it back to the store. Don't forget to subscribe! Thanks for your support!
It's a computer speaker set, not a soundbar, so there's only a single 3.5mm jack to connect to your PC or device. I have this Z313 set. I have to say the sound is absolutely amazing for $30 bucks. Anytime a friend or family member comes over while I have these on and they hear them they always say things like wow your stereo system on your laptop sounds great or something like that.
The only logitech speaker that kinda disappoints is the z213
Please buy this beautiful beast! I got them and I’m happy with it!
They're great for the price! But higher end models certainly have better power and sound fidelity.
Yes went to my girlfriend's setup, she's not an audiophile so she was pretty happy 😂

I been using it for 3+ years. And it's amazing no issues so far. Best purchase
I have an old 2.1 setuip, Z323 I believe, had 2 serts of them over the years and my currents I've had for 7 years and they're still amazing
Certainly decent for the price. 😊

@@Techspin yeah its out of warranty now, but no worries since they are so affordable.
Sorry to hear it brother. I've had stuff die on me one month, and one week out of warranty. I feel your pain!
I've used many BT speakers and some are surprisingly decent for the size and portability, and they certainly have their uses. I have two.
But headphones have no rear surround effect which helps on some games
where to get drivers i buy them and there is no sound
Is it better than Microlab TMN1 and TMN300?
I'm gonna say... no? The z313's don't have a good sound reproduction due to peaks/dips in the audio profile, especially music playback. Based on a listening sample, the TMN300 seems a bit better performer for delivering audio, with 40W RMS power. Haven't seen much from Microlab but they're on my radar now, thanks for that. Seems like a lot of commentors on videos are pretty happy with the sound from older Microlabs 2.1 systems, too. Please subscribe!

@@Techspin I appreciate your response. Good video, thanks, will do.
Can the bass be adjusted if you want some bass but nothing too crazy?
Not on the unit. Logitech is expecting you to do this in Realtek Audio control (PC) or the player you're using. It can be too bassy if you're watching late night. The Pebble V2s we reviewed are better sounding and less bassy, but not as powerful. Please subscribe, thanks for your support!
I've had these speakers for about a year now and I can say that it is worth the 30$ price.

For anyone considering these vs the z623:
I have had the z313 for what feels like 6 years now. I have them hooked up to a sennheiser gsx1000 (the "old" version, prior epos). I have the gsx1000 set to movie mode and the z313 are astounding for games, music, movies, and youtube. (I also have the philips fidelio x2hr in the gsx1000 as well)
I picked up the z623 system from bestbuy around 5 hours ago.
I used to buy expensive speakers like Bose. But when it finally broke I tried this cheap speakers. Actually for its price it’s really good!
Your opinion would carry more weight if you suggested other brands/models that you've found worked well for you, instead of just pooping on Logitech ;) Thanks for your comments!
i bought logi z313.. and i noticed that only in 1 speaker has a big volume and the other one is something like bass Only?

Hello Techspin! I'm an average guy on a budget and I am planning to buy this set. 4 years ago you created this video and now I am still watching it and it helps. One question, I am not a tech savvy but when you said about placing the subwoofer far away from tower? what does it mean? Is it okay if I put my subwoofer beside my computer monitor and near my PC? my space is kind of tight. I hope you can read this

Thank you for the response @@Techspin :) so its best to put subwoofer under the table then! I was wondering it would take a different noise if its far from me or under the table where my pc is on top beside my monitor. Thank you so much! big help
Sure no problem 😃
i have these but they make a pop sound whenever my mini fridge goes off/on. speakers on a surge protector power strip and fridge into the wall that the strip is also connected to. any possible fix?

Usually replacing a fridge is a bit expensive, but there may not be much wrong with the condenser, might just be a bit old. In the meantime... Try running a heavier type extension cable to your PC setup from another outlet for a test. The extra separation may lessen the popping noise, just an idea for ya
how much has their price increased (they are still being sold) - they are around 60€ in Croatia.

You'd be surprised how strong the magnet needs to be to cause harm to your electronics. Youd be fine with this system just a couple feet away from your tower.
That's true, just a few feet makes a lot of difference.
How does this compare to Edifier R1280T
?
Or the moment you plugged the earphone it will switch to it
Thank you
When you plug in headphones, the output from the speakers is disabled.
so everytime I want to use the speakers, I have to remove the headphone/earphone connected through the controller which is too much of a hassle.
I hoped that there was a button for enabling the earphone/headphone so that we don't have to keep unplugging the earphone/headphone everytime.

Sometimes that's due to a bad connection, maybe try spinning the jack in the port a little while listen to music. Also, check your stereo L/R balance is at center. Unplug, replug jack. What if u buy used speakers would u get premium sound
Second hand may deliver on that, or may be a crap shoot. Never know how hard a speaker set was driven before you got it. Our advice, check reviews, and try before you buy. Best of luck! Check our Twitter for our current contest giveaway! Don't forget to subscribe and thanks for your support!

Nice review. since you review audio goodies, are you guys going to review the Creative Pebble V2 speakers anytime soon?
Just dropped in price, too - totally interested in what y’guys think of ‘em!
Review coming up shortly, thanks for that!
At what frequency does the sub tend to drop off in the real world.
Ignoring what the manual says
Might look into more professional testing options but will need to grow a lot in Subs for that... Please subscribe, thanks for your support!
I'm planning to get this, but will it work on my TV or phone?
It uses a 3.5mm headphone plug, so if you have a 3.5mm jack or a suitable adapter, yes. Please subscribe!
does it connect via usb or aux to pc?
nevermind, just looked at the amazon link... headphone jack

I just bought a set. They're OK but I really wish they had some separate controls for the sub woofer. The bass sounds funky to me. In a bad way.
Yeah, the audio ranges coming out of this set are not well balanced, however if you're a teen and want music loud on the cheap, this might be your go-to. Around the $100 mark are much better sets with vastly better audio reproduction though. Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! Thanks for your support!
@@Techspin I downloaded an EQ program that lets me adjust the frequencies. It's called Peace Equalizer. It made these speakers sound much better after I custom tailored the frequencies. It's freeware and you can save your profile. I don't know much about the program but so far so good.
Sweet man, I'll check that out. Nice find!
Great review and video, thank you!
Thanks bro! Please subscribe! Thanks for your support! :D
is there buzzing noise?
No that's likely feedback from the way you have things plugged in. Make sure both your PC and speakers are plugged into the same power bar. Sometimes when the 3.5mm audio wire runs along a power wire, you can hear buzzing also. Wish you luck! Check our Twitter for our current contest giveaway! Don't forget to subscribe and thanks for your support!
@@Techspin thank you :)
Would these work on a series x.??
If the Series X has a headphone jack, yes, as that's how these connect. However if the jack is only on your controller, I'd really recommend against it. Need a monitor (or AVR) with stereo out, in that case.
@@Techspin you can get a usb to aux adapter
Yeah I have to say yes I have them and I like them they're great on the phone or the computer for 30 bucks you can't beat it
Cool great!
It sounds bad when I try to get to the max volume, can I fix this?
As mentioned in the review, it produces good power up to almost max. Getting near max, it starts to distort. How to fix this? Buy more powerful speakers! That's why we recommended the Z333's if you want better, louder sound. Don't forget to subscribe, and connect with us on Twitter, we have monthly giveaways!
did you tried the windows equalizer i have it on and it sounds better
Yeah, get yourself a pair of Bose Companion 2 Series 3, you won't be disappointed!!!!
Is that the same price range though?
Can you connect them to a tv
Yes they will work that way, use the headphone jack on your TV. Note that if you're looking for full, rich sound, these aren't the pair to choose, but these will give you louder sound that's peaky in a few areas. We've heard good things about the z333s for sound reproduction. Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! Thanks for your support!
Very nice video. Quite informative. Thanks for posting!

I am looking to replace my Edifier M1380 will this be a viable option or should I look for something else?
Sooooo, old boyfriend gave me a set of these, not new.....everything plugged in.....no sound....lol...green light is on on control.
Maybe I need to still look for where I can tell the computer they are here....?
I have speakers in my screen...so either still figuring it out, or again, they just do not work.
I do have CA audio: CA-2014 speakers that were mine from a few years ago that were working last I used them. These came
with two small speakers, no woofer.
Thank You!
Plug them into another audio device to test if they're functional. Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! Thanks for your support!
I have a monitor with no speaker and im looking to get this, can i use it with Nintendo switch and PS4? Since im also using my monitor for my pc, switch and ps4.
Yes, the HDMI carries the audio, which will pass through your monitor-just make sure your monitor has a headphone jack out!

Yeah great review
Oof
nice changing the topic just for a measle 28 likes
Subwoofer isn't making a sound. Cam they not be used at the same time ,because every time I plug in the subwoofer the speakers go out and vice versa.
Would you say that I get better sound and deeper bass than on my Soundcore Motion Plus?
You're comparing an $100 audio all in one unit to a $30 2.1 system, apples and oranges. The $100 is likely to have better sound fidelity, but the sound separation can't compete with 6ft of cable between L/R on the Logi. The bass will be better on the Logi also, obviously as a sub box blows any mini enclosure out of the water (due to air volume and resonance-think car audio.) You may wanna look at the Creative Pebble review we just did... this may be a bit closer to what you're looking for? th-cam.com/video/mUBXWjX6CHw/w-d-xo.html

So if I wanted to use these outside in a sunroom to play music while out in the pool will we be able to hear it in the pool from the su room?
Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! are these the best for the price?

@@Techspin what do u think of the z150 for 10$?
We actually have two pairs of these. If you have an 8'x10' room (2.5m x 3m) then these will be just ok, with a little for the 1000hz for male voices and a steep drop-off for bass, there really isn't much at all. As to be expected for $10 speakers! However, they're pretty tough and so far, reliable, but in a larger room their maximum volume is their weakness. Still we have two pairs, which says something, they're useful and portable.
how can i lower my bass sound????
In either the EQ in the media player you use, or you may be able to in Realtek Sound control. I also wish these came with a bass control knob! Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! Thanks for your support!
Is the headphone jack at the dongle compatible with a earpiece with a built in mic instead?
It should play music through the earpiece speaker, but no mic functionality though, as the port is marked headphones. For the most part, combo ports that can use 3.5mm headphone/mic combos are on phones only... PS4 controllers also. Check our Twitter for our current contest giveaway! Don't forget to subscribe and thanks for your support!
how about z213 ??
7 watts rms power (z213) vs 25 watts rms(z313). You'll have better lower end over the basic $10 Logitech speakers, that's all. For decent speakers, save up a little, and look in the $80-$100 usd range. No budget? Then the z313 is the best option. Really no budget? Then $10 Logi speakers. However we may consider covering this pair in the future, thanks for the suggestion. Check our Twitter for our current contest giveaway! Don't forget to subscribe and thanks for your support!
I just bought this yesterday, it's all good, but one speaker is out. Can i fix it, do i take it back? Thanks
I'd check it with a second source first. If the second source (like a phone/mp3 player) doesn't work, then I'd get it exchanged. Don't forget to subscribe! Thanks for your support!
Do you need to buy any extra cables for this??
It connects to a standard 3.5mm jack.
Are you able to control the base?
No
No separate bass control.
I bought my logitech z333 for 35 dollars only and it sounds amazing
Glad it works for you! Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! Thanks for your support!
Hi Techspin! I was wondering if these speakers work if you plug the audio jack into the audio jack on the ps4 controller and will the subwoofer work?
It works with headphones, and the jack is the same so it'll work. Odd solution, but hey! Maybe it's what you need for your setup 😎 Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! Thanks for your support!
Thanks for telling me!
It's meant for convenience, and turns off speaker output when you attach headphones, great for night time. Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! Thanks for your support!
@@Techspin Ohhh ok that brilliant as I was thinking of buying one haha thank you very much
Sure, and you might want to check our Creative Pebble V2 review, about same price range. No sub box, but overall better sound fidelity. Just something to consider
Excellent, realistic review. I very much appreciate your approach.

no bass , tuning , can it tune in pc ?
Nothing hardware or software based. You can always adjust your EQ in Realtek Audio Console tho. The watts (power output) per dollar can't be beat bro.
Does this have some sort of European power outlet cable or can I use this in America??
What? Logitech is available worldwide... although their model numbers vary per region. Just go to the Logitech website and have a look, but this is the American model number. Hope this helps 😀 Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! Thanks for your support!
@@Techspin the model before this only was available with some sort of power outlet cable where the two prawns were further apart. This one has the regular power cord

how long is the power cord?
2:30 has the cord lengths ;) Power and control pod wires are 165cm/5.5 feet.
They are 60 now for some reason lol I still got them. I like them a lot tbh
Yeah we're hearing reports of price increases on these also. At least they're loud! Please subscribe, thanks for your support!
Which would u recommend if compared to pebble plus?
Haven't tested them yet, we're checking availability on that...
@@Techspin ok cool, hope you guys do a review for that as it is also a killer for this range of price
K we'll try to look into that, schedule pretty full for July
No promises but we'll see what we can do. Limited time and staff, you understand, ya?
Yeah sure thing haha just a suggestion for you anyway
my subwaffer is dusty. has sat in the same place since I moved in... but have been using the same Creative 2.1 set I picked up at Wally-world about 8 or 9 years ago. can't even remember model. but has decent sound for small apartment and can still annoy the neighbors through the walls. also has enough thump to rattle the windows if ever crank it up that far. was about $40usd at the time I think. my youngest has a set of Logitech speakers for his desktop that can get fairly loud but no subwoofer with it. but for $10 they do what they need to.
Yeah we hear you, have a review coming up, thank you for the suggestion!
I see the Nintendo Switch on the thumbnail, I tried plugging it on but the audio is too low. Am I doing something wrong?
Make sure both volumes are up. Don't forget to subscribe and tell your friends to help us grow! Thanks for your support!
Nobody shows hooking it up to a computer lol. Does it have a hdmi, 3.5mm ???
It's a computer speaker set, not a soundbar, so there's only a single 3.5mm jack to connect to your PC or device. An older video, we show the rear of the unit at 4:18, though if we shot this today I think we'd show what connections there are, and have that after the intro and basic specs. Good feedback, cheers. Please subscribe, thanks for your support!
I picked these up for $60. And for some reason, the right speaker is not near as loud as the left.
Most likely the source, bad connector or bad cable. I'd try another output device (headphones with a female to female 3.5mm) to help check.
just bought this speaker before watch reviews, but i already expected what you're saying :)
20 DLS on fb, refurbished.
I'd only pay more than 50% second hand or refurbished if the item comes with warranty. Electronics lose their value fairly quickly after purchase, and half-price or less is generally my personal point for a buying decision. But hope they work out for you! And please subscribe! Thanks for the support!
