- It's time to start working on my jumping skills! What better place to get started than the Auburn Bike Park in...Auburn. Which is probably why it's called the AUBURN bike park. Makes sense to me! Anyway. Brian invited me out and we had a solid crew on our hands. It was also Ripper's birthday and his present to me was some EXCELLENT tips on how to jump. Now I've just gotta do it without crashing!

Thanks! I'm going to make it a point to visit more bike parks. There's a lot of great ones in the area and it's a great place to practice technique in a controller environment. I will, without a doubt, perfect my crashes easier here than on the trail! 😂
The Calirado Kid yeah the bike parks do tend to be a tad more forgiving to crash on haha

Ha, that's what I did Sunday...That's a heck of a walk back to the start..over and over. I can't jump either. You're ahead of me by a bit. I need more practice. I also love the pump track. May try Folsom bike park too. I hear they have some smaller jumps for practice. Good Work!
Haha. That’s one thing I pride myself on. The kids can jump like crazy but I beat em all back up to the top because I can make the climb! 😂
That double you're struggling on, I think the issue is it sounds like you're jumping the two rollers before the double. Pump through those instead of getting air and I bet you'll clear it 🤘 you may need to lift the front wheel up the face of the rollers then squash down the other side, if that makes sense lol
...so does this mean we're making a "Kyle teaches Calirado Kid how to jump WITHOUT the help of The Crashing Dad & Outdoor Gold" video?!

It's definitely a great spot. And they've just started work on phase 2 so there's going to be even MORE fun to be had out there! I'm excited.

@@CaliradoKid If that was last Thursday, I was there briefly around 4:30, but then went and road Cardiac Trail across the road. Missed you bud!
@@chrisgreen5000 How is Cardiac Trail? I've never ridden it.
@@CaliradoKid Definitely a must do. Although I've ridden it twice now and never saw anybody else on a BIKE, only hikers. They ALL looked at me like I was nuts. I'm thinking they don't see people riding that trail often. It goes to the water and then flows into Pioneer Express. Great little adventure. Hit me up if you want to.
Nice dude my channel was started so I could learn how to jump. One of my biggest goals is to learn how to send it
One of these days I'll really focus on learning to jump. But I always just end up monologuing and making bad jokes. I'm EASILY distracted! 😂

you keep pushing your feet down. suck your knees up a lil, especially if your clipped in you will have alot of control. push down in berms and when manualing suck your knees up off the jump. it will help. nice job on not giving up 👌
Great tips! I've definitely improved my riding ability since this video came out but my jumping skill are still in dire need of repetition. I'll give these a go next time I'm out at the park!
