    Bob and Brad discuss what causes low back pain in females.
    Some of our astute followers have noticed me slurring my words. I am not drunk but working with Brad it would be justifiable. I had 6 infected cysts removed from my mouth (noncancerous) and I have residual scar tissue and numbness. I will try to do better. Thanks Bob.

    March 9, 2022 ~ OFF TOPIC ~ Hi Bob & Brad, I've been subscribed to your channel since the Summer of 2011 when I was facing a total knee replacement; but today, your video on dementia from September 3, 2018 showed up on my feed. After watching "Simple Test for Dementia that You or A Loved One Can Do- Alzheimer's?", I searched your channel and found a few other of your videos on the same topic. Dementia is currently of interest to me, as I'm fairly sure and concerned that a 75-year old loved one is showing signs of short-term memory loss. I will finish watching your dementia videos later today. Thank you for covering this subject !!!

    Endometriosis. Had 2 large cysts in my ovaries that were pressing on my piriformis and sciatic nerve. After surgery for endo pain lessened. It has messed up my insides completely. So adhesions, organs are glued together, weak pelvic floor.. All because of this damn disease silently covering my organs. For years I've been searching for answers for my backpains (my main symptom) . Until a MRI showed these huge cysts. Don't forget that endometriosis can grow on any muscle or nerve in the body as well. And also the chronic inflammation that's endo causing can give a range of symptoms including muscle/nerve pains. The sciatic nerve can be affected. So it's a direct and indirect problem. It's endo awareness month! Would be great if Bob and Brad would look into the muscle/nerve and backpain problems endo can cause. Also thoracic endo (endo in the chest, on the diaphragm or near/in the lungs gives a range of shoulder, chest and neckpains that is hard to diagnose. But isn't as rare as ppl say. Getting it diagnosed properly is the problem)

      👋 add me to the list. I leave this story out of many i have... I had awfully horrid periods. 8th grade I finally get to the doc. HE 👏 DELIVERED 👏 ME 👏 GUYS 👏....HE WAS MISSING 2 FINGERS, BLIND IN ONE EYE AND HAD FROM HIS KNEE DOWN REMOVED one 1 leg from diabetes. I totally get that. But my point is he was that old school mentality. Told my mom I needed the pill and home I went. 23 hubby and I get preg. 1st ever for me. Craziest ectopic story ever, but point is when doc went in to do surgery I had endo so bad some organs were completely covered. I wish someone listened rather then shoved pills on my face years ago.

      Had Endo and adenomyosis and fibroids and innumerable ovarian cysts... Emergency hysterectomy at age 25 and now I'm filled with so many adhesions, my spine and bowels are glued together with the weak pelvic floor to the point of incontinence and prolapses. More surgery to remove adhesions just causes more adhesions, right?
      I'm beside myself and don't know what to do. Thank you for any help and advice.

    • @TheNoepje
      @TheNoepje 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@jesuslovesyou.777 this is my exact problem as well. I have adeno as well. And new surgeries bring on new adhesions. I had my surgery last Nov and they weren't able to remove everything cause it was so bad and I would need a colostomy bag. And I don't want that (yet) since my bowel symptoms are minor. But after surgery things have gotten worse. I don't feel better at all, except from the backpain. The removal of the cysts have helped that pain. But it brings on new problems. It sucks so bad. I think fascia massage, scar tissue massages, endermology connective tissue massages might help some pain. Keeping hydrated. But for the organ adhesions.. There aren't any cures. But you can see a pain specialst. You should really ask for one. Maybe nerve blocks? Anything that helps the pain, right? But yeah, removing adhesions creates new ones. It makes me so sad that so many endo women are suffering this way. It's endometriosis awareness month and it would be great for Bob and Brad to do give some attention to endometriosis and back/muscle/thoracic related endo. 🎗️

    • @TheNoepje
      @TheNoepje 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Ginabina76 this sucks so much. I'm so sorry to hear this. Endo gives such a range of bodily symptoms/pains/problems. And the docs dismiss it. That's whats happened to me for years as well. And now I'm infertile because I wasn't listened to.

    Healing thoughts Bob, that sounds awful. I rotated my right pelvis over a year ago & fractured half a dozen vertebrae for good measure (T-10, down) - most of the problems I have with standing & mobility now revolve around that area. I think it'd be right as the feelings I had are the same as a young lady I know who had a C-section & we both felt we'd fall down the loo! Do you have any exercise therapies for rebuilding the strength across this area - has been a nightmare. Feel better... 🙏🙏

      When doing housework and I feel the knot start I lay down until it passes, not very long! I'm in ok shape but I'm not going to be knocking myself out just so I can full out do housework, I no longer wear my glasses 👓 as to not let every little speck bother me! This enables me to agree on something with my critical husband and confirm that he's actually right about something, for a change, that the place is a mess (not true) but it'll keep!

    My chiropractor uses a type of massage gun on my lower back. Not the spine but the muscles on other side of the lower back. My back issues stem from losing a MASSIVE amount of weight fast, leaving me with a lot of hanging belly (lots of skin as well- skin is HEAVY!) It pulls so much on my back.

    It's TRUE, I have SI joint problems due to arthritis. I get injections every 6 months and at first it's 1 injection, 1 month later the 2nd injection and I'm good for 6 to 8 months. The doctor did all this poking and making me move certain ways to figure out that it wasn't sciatica but SI joint. He also recommended me do stretches and exercises to help strengthen lower back muscles. That seems to help a lot. I have it so bad that it feels like a knife stabbing me and I didnt realize that my right hip pain was from the SI joint. So many doctors that it was sciatica was refreshing to get correct diagnosis and treatment. Also, I started in my 20s having this issue and am now 39.

    I have never been able to do a split but do have hypermobile hip joints. Since quarantine I have not been able to go out and walk (it's all hills where I live) because any incline causes a tightening pain in my tailbone and down my legs that is not sciatica but I don't have any issues on steps. My coccyx now constantly pops if I do the slightest twisting motion.
    I was in physical therapy 20 years ago because I couldn't bend my legs when walking up hills after a slight fall. It all sounds like the same thing. However, I have a lot of physical complaints like this that my doctor dismisses as fibromyalgia.

    In my case, my now chronic low back pain was caused by a young Holstein cow kicking me in the back when I was about 17! Grew up helping my dad on the dairy farm & I was putting the milkers on another cow. This one was young & skittish & somehow got scared, and kicked; just happened to kick me in lower back. Didn't bother me at the time. I'm now 68 and it reminds me on a daily basis!

      An anti-inflammatory lifestyle might make a difference -- an anti-inflammatory diet (avoid heated plant oils and any kind of fried food, especially fats subjected to high heat), and anti-inflammatory foods, herbs and spices (onions, garlic, turmeric, ginger, grapeseed extract and/or pine bark extract, bromelain with papain, etc, etc).
      Also try to avoid over-loading on acid-forming foods, it's best to have a diet that includes both acid-forming and alkaline-forming foods. It's best to find a book about this -- Internet sources aren't always accurate about which foods are acid-forming and which alkaline-forming.
      Alcoholic beverages and animal protein are usually acid-forming, citrus fruits (especially lemon), ginger, onions and sweet potatoes are alkaline-forming (but these foods do not agree with everyone).
      It's best to find a book with charts such as Dr Susan Brown and Larry Trivieri's guide *The acid-alkaline food guide: a quick reference to foods and their pH levels*.
      My father also had old back injuries (he injured his back twice), and in the end, partly due to aging and partly due to a bad diet (eating habits) his lower back degenerated to the point where the bone was so fragile that he couldn't be operated on, and in his eighties he became an invalid -- always either in bed or in a wheelchair.
      Wishing you all the best, ladygray4.

    "Super-flexible" -- probably joint hypermobility, such as people with hypermobile EDS (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) have.
    It is NOT a good idea to inject the joints of people who have joint hypermobility with cortisone, because cortisone injections could (and probably would) worsen their condition to the point of causing permanent disability.
    People with joint hypermobility have genetic collagen abnormalities that weaken the support structures of the joints (e.g. ligaments and tendons). So they already have weak joints, and cortisone injections would encourage further depletion of collagen from the tissues.

    Guys, cortisone is NOT good! I do not think you should be recommend something that degenerates the surrounding tissue and increases joint laxity in the area, causing further problems from abrasion of the lax tissues moving around excessively. It may provide short-term relief, but it's better to fix the laxity with PRP. Take it from a guy who had PRP done. It works much much better without repercussions.

      @@peb6 it is because of ulnar nerve problem that causes cubital tunnel syndrome
      Try wearing an elbow splint and avoid any activities that triggers it
      Anti inflammatory drugs
      Ice the area for 10-15 minutes
      Perform ulnar nerve glide exercise
      And when you sleep on your side, place a pillow in front of you to support the whole arm, limit elbow flexion, and keep the wrist and fingers flat, in a neutral position

And I also realized by watching your plantar fasciitis video that I suffer from that as well. Do u think the 2 are connected? Are there links to see the particular exercises u mentioned? Again thanks much.

    Hi Bob and Brad, I'm a 38 old yr old woman who has lived and is living with chronic back pain for years, I have scoliosis, DDD and had SPD during pregnancy and had to use crutches to walk. My backs got progressively worse ever since. To the point where I've stopped working as a makeup artist because I just can't do it anymore. Sorry for long msg 🙏🏻 I'm from the UK.
