    i self record and compared to some of your self recordings frame by frame to see what I’m doing(or not doing) enough to your style. Since I’m a goofy, i have to flip each frame by 180 to get a good side-by-side comparison lol.
    Your self recordings are definitely helpful especially the recording from the top in the end of this video is gold too. Thank you.

      I know others who do this. And seriously, I was blown away with how they had all these side by side comparisons. It added depth to their understanding, and they got great quick! Someday I wanna see yours if you'd want to make a folder of some to the good stuff!

      Yes, same here! It is a lot easier to analise moves when you actually see it from a goofy point of view. Lets say nose roll for instance, you watch Ryan doing it at speed 0.25 but still hard to imagine this goofy side. Ryan, if you have all these clips rendered for YT maybe post few tuts for goofies, just an idea, what do you think? It would help a lot

    I just picked up a knapton twin during the bf sale, can't wait to ride it (live in Florida)
    My toe carves were getting deep enough that my 12 boots were dragging easily on my 261 so I figured it was time.
    Still have a hard time getting consistent locked in heel carves. Not sure why I can't quite pinpoint the right balance through the turn.
    I liked the top view bit at the end. Would be cool to see a bit more.

    Could you please tell us more about the speed for carving in the next video? When it's ok or too much. I suppose you can measure your speed with GoPro. Also will be very interesting to get to know how you pick the part of the slope, which is really comfy for carving. What angle should the slop and so on? Is it blue track, or red?

    • @EwokyBalboa
      @EwokyBalboa ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Work up to it, and learn to fall safely so you're not scared of falling.
      Fear of going faster also generally stems from lack of confidence in your riding. If you are not confident in your board control, work on that first at speeds you are comfortable with. Then you keep riding at the upper limit and push past it little bit by little bit, in safe areas, and eventually that new limit will become comfortable

    • @RyanKnapton

      Switched to Ride Insanos. Hard plastic shell tongue helps the leverage on toeside turns and they've held up longer before getting all mushy. ✅

    Hi Ryan

    • @RyanKnapton
      @RyanKnapton  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Currently I'm just trying to figure out my wireless mic for better audio. I'll be taping much more with numerous cameras from about February on. For quick IG clips I prefer the Insta. Right to the phone transfer, then web. For full videos on TH-cam where I don't need the 360 possibilities, a standard camera is easier for my editing.

    How stiff is it?? All jokes aside, I've been riding a Jones Ultra flagship, I wish I had a way to demo something like your board. I wear a us men's 14, waist width is an issue toe drag too. So how wide is your board? 30? I've heard of some 27 28cm production boards. But tired of heal and toe drag, booting out sucks! Thanks

    • @EwokyBalboa
      @EwokyBalboa ปีที่แล้ว

      Pretty sure his is in the 30cm range iirc. I wear 12s and just got my twin at 30cm waist and at 15/-12 my boots/bindings are basically edge to edge.

  • @borisp9163
    @borisp9163 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Maan 🖖🏻 I have your tween Donek in 29 waist width and I was kind of like “I should go right into 31,5”, but now I am glad I didnt, I had injoured ankle year ago and I have to be careful on toes edge, I feel that difference in pressure as it is wider, left is ok but damn right is fckng fragile🤦🏻‍♂️ and also snow conditions sucks, frozen slopes, artifical snow, hope it start fall soon… anyway, I work on lift and I had to ride through black frozen slope couple of times and I feel like it blunted eges kind of quickly 🤔 can you please tell me how often do you sharpening edges and waxing? Thanx 🖖🏻

    • @RyanKnapton
      @RyanKnapton  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I sharpen whenever general conditions get icier. If it hasn't snowed for a week or so, then it's about time. When the snow is soft it doesn't matter as much. On average I'd say maybe once a week these days. Waxing, every time any major temperature changes occur. Sometimes I'll go a week before waxing. Sometimes up to three times within a 24 hour period (due to the weather forecast being substantially wrong). With that injured ankle, really give care to all the turns. I'm sorry to hear that. If you think stiffer boots would help support it and allow the shins to do more of the work I'd recommend thinking about some boots like the ride Insanos or ride trident. The leverage from the Insanos let's my feet work waaaay less than when I'm on mushy boots. Take care and happy shredding!

      Many who get on it and work on their riding, actually get really really good. The board is no joke. I'm definitely not the only rider who has benefited from this board design, along with getting custom specs to match their riding level. I get the most amazing emails from people who have found new states of possibilities with their riding because of what Donek Snowboards offers. :D
