i plastidipped the metal frame to black it out, and also cut the plastic bottom coveron the sides so that the tank has some protection from underneath but you cant see it. . Just some ideas bro! good wrok!

Done some mods but still got a long way to go. Looks like you're learning as you go but you seem to have a great time doing it. Question: Do you need a license to ride that around town? I'm also in Cali (SoCal) and I'm hearing different story from different people.
Dope video dude. When I bought mine the plastic was off the back & front, but I’m about to take the plastic off my gas tank. Is there no small or custom cover for under the seat, I dunno if all the engine should be showing like that, or does it matter??

I wouldn’t cut anything just in case you decide to put it back on. It might be easier to cut but it’s best to just take it off without cutting.

Normally I just take a 1 hour jog daily in my streets for weight reduction
I took the engine off, it is so light I can just use my feet to propel it forward :D

Hey mike, you dont need a license since its under 50cc. but would still need to wear helmet and protective gear. Use only around the town not highways
