Like Tim 44883, my father and I built a minimost about 35 years ago, powered by a johnson 20HP. I had so much fun with this little boat! It is sitting in the shed since so many years now but my and my son plans to take it out this summer... Very nice video... Brings many memories back! Congrats!
Nice video and a very nice boat. Serious looking captain there. My dad and I built one back in the early sixties. Started out with a 1947 4 cylinder 10 HP Evinrude that kept throwing rods so upgraded to a Mercury Mark 20. Painted it red and yellow just like the cover boat. Had a lot of fun in that. Built a Maximus a few years later and used the Mark 20 before moving up to a 25 HP Evinrude Sportster that I still use on my fishing boat.

Nice photography on this video. Nice lighting and angles filmed. One of the best I have scene. The only thing I would like to see is the scenes that show the drone in the video to be edited out. There is enough footage to do that. Other than that the video is top notch. I am betting this little boy will want a bigger engine so he can go faster as he gets older. He might like getting involved in the racing of these class of boats.

Great video, my father and I built a Minimax over 50 years ago. Ran it in the Ohio river with a 12 HP Sea King. Brought back a lot of memories :)

I spent some of my happiest summer days in my minimost. Can't be beat!

Where did you get the throttle, and shift controls? As well as the rigging?
How thick is the ply wood?
