I was watching this video with almost a disinterest. Then the green feather quill modification for the pen. * subscribed * And thanks for the great diy help.
I love these ideas, they're fantastic! When it comes to the overall finish, it's just about precision and patience at every step. Every clean cut builds on the next!
very useful thanks i was thinking of making gloomhaven playmats to hold cards with uprights like your token holders but the two sheets method looks way better
Reminds me of the fun times I had putting together foam-core box inserts from Folded Space for Spirit Island et al (I don't get out much)! They da bomb! They had what I will call tongue and groove cut-outs (not sure what they're technically called), which make the whole thing much more sturdy. Basically some pieces have projecting "tabs" which fit into corresponding holes in an adjacent piece. So clever, and the finished pieces can take so much pushing and prodding -I'm sorry to cast aspersions here, but I'm not sure yours will. Have a look at their website, and see if you can improve your pieces.
Good stuff man but my elephant in the room is wq 1st edition player area it's a mess man I would love some ideas to sort that out love ya stuff man keep it up
Great video. I've been wanting to do stuff like this for my ttrpg games because even that can become a big mess. And I've been thinking about converting all my player's abilities and equipment into cards to help make it a lot easier to keep track of. So far I've been using card sleeves that fit Magic The Gathering cards that has a colored back, cutting out a piece of paper the same size as an MTG card to write on and using a useless MTG card like the rules hint cards. :)
These look so good! Makes me want to make some player trays for my own games.
They are definitely useful. I would probably make them from wood if I was to redo them to make them more durable!
We need a follow up video with all the finished products, and that player board in use!
I will get some sorted for you next time there are in use!

Haha thanks, yeah I like to take immersion theming too far
I think it is great. Quick question how long does the glue take to set. There is no need for clamping?

I always planned to return to this project and redo them in Wood but they work so well I've never bothered
Thank you for this amazing video. I've been looking for ideas to create player dashboards for my games. 👍😃
THese were some of the most useful things I have made. Really helped out when playing games.
Lovely stuff
Thank you.

Thank you! I am hoping this year to look at more older RPGs and cover things like character creation and how combat works for them.
Thanks a lot for the video!
Glad it was helpful!
Great video thank you
Glad you enjoyed it

I am thinking of doing follow ups for other games and that is one!
Wow this video is 2 years old. Very creative ideas! I will definitely make these for my games, just one question though, how long do these last?
They are still going strong. I occasionally have to reglue a tab on the card holder trays but that is about it.
I just wonder how durable they are and if they withstand the test of time...
They are still going strong and I kind of mistreat them. A tab on one of the card holders has had to be reglued and that is all
@@TheBattlinBarrowGaming Thanks for the quick response. Good to know & I will be making some too ;-)

Great video man! Just moved back to the UK after living in the states for a few years. Do you have any go to UK places for getting your foam core?
I normally just order some from amazon and I use the house of card foam board
whats the material u used to build the card holder?
I use foamboard amzn.to/3T9RXjw but the stuff I normally use (in that link) is currently unavailable so you may have to find an alternative.
Sorry but what cardboard are u using?
The card I use is amzn.to/3PtS36A and the foamboard isnt available anymore but this amzn.to/3pjJIb5 is the same sort of thing
