Another doll full of character and very well dressed. I’ve struggled for years to try and sew clothing and get frustrated by the fraying and turnings. You use of glue has liberated me 😂 the possibilities are endless. Love that last sneaky shot of him in his hat! Thank you Gretchen xxx❤
Wendy thank you so much for letting me know that this video was helpful! ☺️ I truly am trying to reveal the secrets and the "mystery" of dressing Dollhouse dolls! For years I struggled with clothing for my tiny dolls trying to make them functional! WHEN I realized that I could use "glue" and place the pieces individually on the doll it changed my life! So I generally do a few small stitches in certain areas like gathers or ruffles but almost everything else is glued!!!! Good sharp scissors help with the fraying. Also, using a tiny bit of glue to edges will act as " fray check" plus it dries clear!

Yes Donna I learned the hard way why you should use scissors to cut other things other than fabric! Those I put back in the box after use 🤭☺️💖! Isn't that little boy adorable I think he's so cute I can't wait to work on his hair! I definitely think that I hook was genius for the suspenders! Oh My GOODNESS another 📦 package! Howdy Miss Gretchen...haven't watched this video yet but had to say how very much I'm enjoying your older videos (still catching up) - watching them at night via TV so can't comment though I mark them as Like (I've saved quite a few). Then I start my days and forget to log in to comment - so here it is -- lovelovelove your luggage and bags videos, and the little clothes you make - all folded with a sleeve .... I mean come on - terrifico! Pretty jazzy suit on the doll. The fabric combination was perfect as was the dressing techniques. Now, all he needs is one of the watches you received attached as a pocket watch or a wrist watch.

Gotta tell ya... I've been reppin my WARKTF shirt everywhere I go!! I have 2 now! One is the prettiest rich, yummy purple and the other a pretty gray/green!!! The fabric!!! Oh my goodness!!! I was bitten by the fabric bug many years ago and I've never recovered. At one time, I had many pieces of vintage fabrics and calico prints, wax dyed African fabric...just so many magnificent pieces!!! I lost them all😣 and I was completely heartbroken. All of it, every single piece, ruined with flood water... 😭😭😭 Couldn't bring myself to to rebuild it, none of the fabric patterns exist in the retail market. I've since recovered emotionally and mentally, but the loss was traumatic. The scissors are incredible!! Just incredible!!! 🤯🤯🤯🤯 I had a pair of those many, many years ago and would still have them today had a curious and imaginative little boy not thought they would make EXCELLENT cord cutters 😱🤯😵!!! Yes, sadly they met their very tragic end at the hands of a 7yo boy 🥴 about 10 years ago.
Mimmie, I lost a large collection of fabric that took years to collect. I had silks, patterned velvets, embroidered pieces, vintage pieces., etc. I feel your pain! Fortunately I didn’t lose some of the vintage lace that I had collected. So now I have a small stash of fabrics. Once in a while I still mourn that loss, but I try to be grateful for what I do have. As one fabric lover to another, I wish you happy collecting! My heart goes out to you.

It was a really hard loss to take and, as you know, not everyone understands and you kina get the feeling from some people that they think you're being too dramatic or covetous. Not the case at all 😒! At that time I was making quilt tops and those fabrics were specifically for that purpose. Thankfully I didn't have any commission tops to complete, but after the loss I've never made another top. It just took all the wind from my sails and made feel I was too far behind the 8 ball to recover. I'm glad you were able to come back from the loss 🥰 and some of your most cherished pieces are still with you. ❤️
