Wish I had thought to leave the leaves on the stems. I did a bunch of basil leaves a month ago, and like you said, it’s time consuming. Now my plant, that was HUGE, died recently. It was 3 feet tall. The best basil plant I’ve ever grown. Thank you for the video!
Thank you! I wasted so much last year. This year, I cut it back, just blanched some to freeze.... but if what I cut back grows again this season, I'll dehydrate the rest. Also, AMAZING channel name!
I've never used the dehydrate feature, but I have a bounty of basil and wanted to make best use of it. Who else to turn to for the best, and most complete instructions than my Favorite "Foodie" fan!! As always, Thank You for all that you do to provide first-hand experience with that next-door neighbor feeling!! ☺
Can I do this with all of my herbs? I have a ton that I froze in butter and olive oil. But I'd love to dehydrate some for when I need to use them dried in a recipe. This would make them fresher and less expensive than having to buy them.
Thanks for sharing this, I’ve been wanting to dehydrate my basil. I have the Ninja XL oven but don’t have those racks…you mentioned you like the racks that are made specifically for the Ninja oven..so I’ll check those out and not be tempted to look for cheaper ones..❤
There are several different types of Ninja appliances that are 15-1, I would need to know which one you are using to be able to give some suggestions. It should not take 72 hours to dry basil even on a lower temperature so something doesn't seem right.

@@TheSaltedPepper thank you🩷
How long and at what temp would I dehydrate sliced green onions?
I would think 125F for 6-8 hours would work, but I haven’t done them myself
Can I ask how long it would take in the Ninja 15 in 1, assuming the same amount, please?
Ninja has several different appliances that are 15-1, so I would need to know which type of appliance you have.
Enjoyed your video. While viewing ur video, I began smelling Basil.😮 Lol, it appears my bath soap or shampoo has basil in it. 😅
My ninja 15 in 1 takes more than 72 hours to dry these, quite draining or is there something am missing?

Yes! A ton! This video is actually an old one that I never got out, it's in the old kitchen so probably 2021. That basil plant was unreal.
