Hey man, I have the same laptop. What if the dc port inside the laptop is loose? It charges now only when its plugged and the cable is held up. The port inside the laptop is loose and so id I barely touch the laptop it stops charging. Any idea what to stabilize it with?
Hey there! thank you for taking the time in watching the video. I'd recommend: First: Check the continuity of the charger by using a multimeter in beep mode or check if it outputs 19volts (standard for all laptops). Second: Check the contact pins of the charging port. They could be rusty or are not having proper contact. Third: Since you mentioned that the DC Port / Charging Port is loose, it could be that the tie down anchor point is broken. This could cause an issue where the wire (from the barrel jack to the motherboard) is damaged and may need soldering or replacement. That would be method of testing for your specific issue. Let me know if that helps.
