It also has foot spike that unscrew at the bottom of each leg

I guess you've figured it out by now, but you can actually flip the top tube upside down so you can get the camera all the way down to the ground.

yes you can buy cheaper but i do like to support my local shop also i can just take it back if faulty etc

Pretty close to being the perfect hiking/travel tripod. Shame about that center column. I know what the manufacturer would have you do. There are plenty of tripods out there with the same "feature". Personally I don't like trying to take photos upside down, it's odd behaviour. I have one idea. Defeat the center column by digging a hole. Bring a pickaxe for concrete and rocks. Obviously you'd need a travel shovel and pickaxe. Maybe Benro makes these. Or.. maybe they would sell us a smaller center column.

Thats why i cut mine down so it can go legs down as low as possible as i never have a tripod high

Does anyone know how to remove the ballhead? I cant seem to remove it

as in remove from the tube. so u can replace it ?

Loosen the locking knob that secures the head to the tripod legs. Then, locate the small screw on the underside of the head that secures it to the tripod plate. Use a screwdriver to loosen and remove this screw.
