This is our first time ever in a Walmart. We wanted to see how this compared to the UK Version, ASDA. We were in the shop for MANY HOURS!!! 😮

Have enjoyed watching your Vlogs! We don’t like Walmart it’s a little busy for us we much prefer Publix it’s more expensive but better quality we feel.

I had the reverse culture shock when I visited London, Asda, Tesco- everything was smaller and expensive! My sister- who lived in Windsor at the time - said was due to smaller homes and shallow refrigerators. Our fridges are massive and we tend to buy in bulk so we don't we have to go grocery shopping all the time.
Why not question who is limiting your choices rather than complain?
True..... we have large refrigerators and most of us have at least one extra refrigerator and sometimes freezers. We just like having alot.

To be fair, I prefer large sizes because it’s less time having to do grocery shopping. Once or twice a month is all I do. Also, there are large families who shop too.
There are only 2 of us so that's why looking at the size of stuff was funny. We would only be thinking about the possible waste from the stuff not being used. I get not wanting to go out every week for food if that was the challenge but the store was extremely busy when we went. X

I lived in England, one big difference that I noticed was I had to go to the store 3 times a week to get food. In the US I only go to the store once a week. So I like the food in big containers I don't like going to the store all the time, just because it's in a big container doesn't mean we eat it all at once we stock up here, or at least I do.

Yeah, I remember going to the supermarket once a week when I was a boy, and I'm 84. .How long have there been supermarkets in Britain? How about air conditioning? How about, well, almost everything.
Yeah we buy bulk because it's cheaper and less going to the store. But we don't eat it all in one go lol we cook what we can eat and store the rest in the fridge for next time.

Food in England goes rotten in about two days. Especially fruit and vegetables.
You guys are adorable but to be honest if you weren't at a Disney heavy area or a major city most of what you bought would have been half the price. Wal-Mart's prices vary based on location.

The misperception about the packaging sizes is that they are in no way meant to be eaten all in one setting. In America our fridges and freezers are much larger than they are in Europe and elsewhere so we are able to buy in bulk. This is so bvb we don't have to go to the store everyday. There's just not enough time in the day to run to the store everyday. But that's not to say that food doesn't often spoil in the fridge when we don't find the time to consume it.
This ^^^^ Plus American packaged food is so full of preservatives, it lasts far longer than it really should.
**FIRST TIME EVER in Walmart** OUR REACTION | British Geordie Couple in Florida | Disney World 1256pm 12.3.22 price comparison would have been welcome ie: what are they paying for half a gallon of milk as opposed what we pay for a 4 pint carton? as for bigger portions - i mean, that's cool.. but, mostly, folk in UK with that kindda caper would be fat bastards all round.. no one would be spared!!!! as your USA stores seems to be quite a bit out of town then i can see why you dont shop everyday. i would prefer to shop everyday for such things as fresh bread. or veg.. believe me in UK we have people hassle you for going to the store everyday. they probably invented the term j-walking... they seem to think it is an issue. i do not. go figure. having to eat food is hardly a compulsion unless yer one of these fat bastards spoken of. no i think the UK would just implode with the overall masses of variety on offer. the UK consumer would be so excited it wouldnt know what to purchase.. choice is good - to some degree. it could also mean a great deal of crud is stocked on the shelves in the way of edibles. sub standard foods are an issue in UK - believe me, i know. so i am surmising it is the case over there - probably why you have weight issues, perhaps... almond milk? if you have a nut allergy then you could end up dying... beware cheap and cheerful...
@@JJONNYREPP Well, I suspect that this is culture difference in some manner with regards to portion and/or package sizes. Most Americans who aren't the obese bastards, automatically know that these big bags of potato chips are not meant to be eaten by one person in one sitting. When getting yourself a helping, you usually just grab yourself a handful of chips and that's it. You don't take the whole bag. We have these things call chip clips, which are Metal or plastic clothes pin like devices that help close your bags after you get out what you need. When I see non-Americans go into Amerian stores while on vacation, and they buy multiple big bags of junk food, we'rexall thinking, when are they gonna have time to eat all of that. You see, your used to packaging for single personal helping size, and then you assume that our large bags are the cause of obesity. Not true. Because like I said earlier, we know we're not supposed to eat the whole bag. Some people do of course, but that's not the average eye person. This goes for all food btw. For example a box of cereal should last at least a week even if eaten every day.
@@JJONNYREPP oh regarding Choice of Varieties of the same food type...well, your concern about having a lot of varieties that aren't as popular as others is handled via basic marketing and sales records. Companies come out with new varieties all the time. They then monitor how well each is selling and in what locations. And if a particular variety isn't selling well in one location, or at all anywhere, they will discontinue that variety. But if it's successful, they'll continue to make it. But you never know what's popular unless you make it. Companies are willing to take the risk and innovate their brands to find what the people want and like. In UK's case, it seems you're stuck with just a few basic varieties which has a tendency to stagnate your choices.

My Wife is from the Philippines so when I first took her to a Wal-Mart she was even more overwhelmed then you guys were. Did you notice that most stores in the USA are very cold inside? We Americans love our Air conditioning.

Why do people always talk about the sizes? If you have a family of three an half gallon is nothing. You don’t have to run back to the store every five mins.
Honestly, everything in North America is bigger. The standard fridge in the UK isn't built for the size of chilled food and drinks in the US. The size of the standard kitchen isn't big enough for a US size fridge...
Exactly. I'm the only one in the house who drinks milk, well eats it with cereal, and I go through about half gallon a week.
I come from a Family of 6 , 4 boys we went through 2 gallons a week my mom would beg us not to eat the "food for the week" in the first hour
For the milk sure i can understand. we do half gallon a week and only one person in the house has milk, but for the rest i'm not so sure. Like that bag of cheese you would only see a bag that big for catering use. But with that being said since we are a small island, we tend to do a weekly shop where as with the US being a much larger place i could see a bi-weekly or even monthly shop for the longer lasting food stuff (main shop) and a quick shop for the shorter lifespan stuff each week ( or even grabbing stuff on the way home).
Our sizes are huge compared to everywhere else.

👍👍👍👍👍👍 Hey Mark, relax and just realize that we do things different here. The amount of choice at Walmart is not a source of frustration or confusion. After you know what know what brands you like and what you are going to buy you kind of ignore the rest. We aren't all overweight but plenty of us are, and for that matter so are many of you. One of the biggest contributors to our waist lines are the fast food places, convenience food, and car culture. Yes we drive everywhere. Even short distances. Things here are very spread out and the country is massive. I live in Seattle in the state of Washington that is a flight distance of 2555 to Orlando Florida. (That's approx 4100 km) or the flight distance from London to Tehran (Iran) The US has 6.6 million miles of paved roads and the UK has 400K. (Canada has 1 million and Russia 1.3 million.) So of course we've built our lives around the convenience and necessity of owning and using cars. Oh and big trucks too. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ And by the way that Walmart looked in poor condition. They are everywhere in cities big and small all over the US and some are kept in better condition than other. Also, there are many many other supermarket brands and some are very upscale and expensive and some are for those on a smaller budget. Something for everyone. Anyway , hope you enjoyed your stay here in the US. You seem a lovely couple.

I hate shopping at Walmart because you never know what brands will be there. Too hit and miss for me.
To be fair, I get why he was frustrated, because they'd been in the store for hours and the grocery section is always the busiest so it would be hard for them to look and find what they wanted, and all the products were different. But he did seem a bit grumpy at the end.
The purpose of those big sizes is so families don't have to do a weekly shop. My family can do 3 weeks without shopping.
We also have a big house party and gathering culture here. Like those giant tubs of cheese balls are for parties where multiple people would be eating them. And some massive packs of chips or cookies have "party pack" labeled on it.

Spoken like a true non-American 🤣🤣🤣🤣 The reason why some of the sizes are so huge, are because people who live out in the middle of nowhere can't afford to drive an hour to Walmart and back every day just for a sandwich and tea, so buying in bulk is meant to last for a few weeks or longer. This is true, the shopping culture is very different in the US than in Europe. We do not shop every day. Usually once a week, once every two weeks and sometimes once a month.
Yes I hate that. Like, who gets to decide what is "too much"? These kind of statements always come from people who don't understand the concepts of individualism and free-market capitalism...and they are not always from other countries...too many Americans have this attitude as well!

@@christineperez7562 Sizes are big in the US because competition is fierce and prices are cheap. Size is just one way to compete. There are multiple national brands for every product, then regional brands and local brands.
You don't appreciate until you go elsewhere with 1 or 2 choices for most products and the prices are ridiculous because of lack of competition.

As of February 2021, two British companies acquired ASDA. They are EG Group and TDR Capital. Walmart does retains an equity investment and a seat on the board
Wal-Mart is learning that just opening Wal-Mart or Wal-Mart clones does not work in every country. There are different expectations from different cultures. If ASDA is succeeding in the UK, it's probably specifically because it's so different from the U.S. stores.

No... That's my point. We don't eat those portions at home. We stock our deep freezers. We separate those large packages into meals for our large families. Because we don't shop daily or weekly...trust me we hate shopping at Walmart... We just stock up.

I live close to Tampa here in Florida. I am always happy to see Tourists having a good time here. A few years ago a man and his Daughter visited at our house from Australia. We both belonged to a Capri convertible car club on Facebook. That is how we got together. They stayed over night at our house and had Dinner and Breakfast with us. We went to Church because it was Sunday. I let him drive around in our Capri and taught him how to drive on the wrong side of the road. The 1991-1994 Ford Capri was made in Australia. That was the connection we had. He liked Wal-Mart too. We still keep in touch.

Great to see! I was born and raised in Central Florida and would always recommend buying trinkets and gifts that are Disney/Universal Studios/Sea World themed at Walmart or other area stores. You’ll save a ton over park prices.
When we’ve gone on vacations to other parts of the US or other countries and found lots of things we wanted to buy, but didn’t want to pay extra for checked bags, we shipped it back. Particularly if it was a unique item that we felt we really wanted or the prices were very good and made it worth the cost of shipping.
As for the trolleys (shopping carts for my fellow Americans lol), Walmart has notoriously bad ones. They get damaged in the parking lots when people hit them with their cars and from improper maintenance. I also think that part of the poor maintenance is that they don’t keep the wheels oiled properly given that most carts carry such a heavy load from the massive purchases people make all day. Most Walmart locations have many good carts; the trick is to take one and test it by pushing it a short ways. If it drags or is terrible, turn around and put it back and try another.
Nice to see an outside perspective on Walmart! Once you’re used to it, it’s not as overwhelming. I’m not much older than you both and I remember when Walmart was a regular department store. It was a big deal when they became grocery store/department store hybrids and changed to Walmart SuperCenters or more commonly
called Super Walmart.
Target is more high end and even they have copied that model and there are Super Target stores. Those are even better because the food selection is more high end and so are other things like furniture.
If you think the sizes at Walmart are huge, you should have tried going in Sams Club, which is owned by Walmart. The big membership club style warehouse stores in Florida are Sams, Costco, and BJs. Some things in the clubs are twice the size as they are in Walmart!
By the way, I graduated from the University of Florida where Gatorade was invented as a supplement to help or aid our athletes during games and practice. It’s named Gatorade because the mascot for UF is the Gators.
If you go back, check to see if the area’s outlet stores are still open. You can save SO MUCH money on designer brands at the outlet malls. Although I was born and raised in Florida, we left the state a few years ago for my husband’s job and moved to Colorado, then Arizona, and now we’re in NYC, so I’m a little rusty on what’s still available in the Kissimmee/Orlando area.

If you have 4 people in your family and you have milk with cereal or your breakfast then serve it to your kids at lunch or dinner, a half gallon of milk wont last that long. Take into consideration Americans have huge refridgerators so we purchase bigger quantities of food so we don't have to shop as often. We also buy things like meats, vegetables, etc. in bulk to freeze. Many Americans have a full size freezer in their garage. At the very least they have a freezer that is part of their fridge. Most Americans only shop a couple times per month. Some only once a month.
Which is not true Americans go shopping almost everyday. We have a problem with food in this country.

We generally buy milk in whole gallons, not even half. And it always gets drank within the week.
We always buy half gallons and never finish it.
Most Wal-Marts in the US don't have all the touristy gift selections. Also here in the southern US we call the shopping carts buggies.

Brits come to Walmart for the shopping. Americans come to Walmart to document the indigenous life-forms.
One reason why' there's a lot of choice is because when we go to the supermarket/grocery store , shoppers are very loyal to their favorite brands like Kellogg's, post and General Mills cereals, brands of canned foods like del Monte, Hunt's and Cantadina ( three popular national brands of canned fruits and veggies products) so forth and so on.

They were at a Super Walmart. There are 3 types of Walmarts, Neighborhood Markets which is just groceries, Walmart which is everything but groceries, and Super Walmart which is a combination of the two.

Yea, if Super Walmart ain't got it, you don't need it. In fact, it probably doesn't exist.
It's no wonder the shopping carts (trolleys) didn't steer so well. One problem is that in the southern states, the parking lot gets so hot that the wheels of the cart start to melt, leaving a flat spot. Alternately, it gets hit hard enough to warp the frame, or a wheel picks up something that gets caught in the spindle and stops it from rotating properly, so the cart pulls to one side.
When I was in Britain, my interest was historical sites; for Brits it's Walmart lol. An is Florida the only place people from the UK go in the USA.
No, ita the most advertised for sure but we love Vegas and Boston. We live right next to Hadrians Wall. (Stretching 73 miles from coast to coast, Hadrian's Wall was built to guard the wild north-west frontier of the Roman Empire.)

@@MarkandJodie That's one of the things that surprises Americans, how small the UK is. 73 miles doesn't even get you coast to coast in Florida. Tampa to Vero Beach, close to as straight across from the Gulf to the Atlantic, is 140 miles. That's even farther than Bristol to London.
Foreign visitors always go to New York, Florida or Texas. It is like they think those are the only places worth seeing in the US.

Because im from London i too have never understood the fascination of it being a place many people want to see. so i stayed with Friends for 5 weeks and lived the life they lived and did activitys together is there local town and city. Like shooting, swamps, casinos, beach so on.
WalMart actually owns ASDA. I can see WalMart being a bit of a shock to y'all, even the bigger stores in London are no where near the size of a WalMart!

9:00 everywhere I have lived in the US there are large Mexican families who buy loads of tomatoes, cheese, avocados, etc. for the whole week. It's a smart way to shop and Tex-Mex food is divine. I think big families are generally more common here so "family size" bulk items are common.

Hi. I saw your video for the first time. Walmart can be overwhelming. I loved your reaction to all the items available.
My wife and I are in the upper income bracket, but we shop at Walmart for some items. Cheerios in Walmart for $2.95 a box is the same box of Cheerios at our supermarket that are $4.95.
That's how many keep their money, right?? Smart shopping. Some even use coupons, watch for sales etc. Just because you have more money doesn't mean you have to spend it like you want to be a rock star lol.
Part of the reason for the impressions you got are because you're at a Walmart in Florida near Disney....sooooooo many tourists/travelers in addition to residents shopping. Plus, the prices would be higher than my Walmart....in a suburban town, very agricultural still. As far as sizes, I know ours are bigger, and I know it's just the two of you....but I would shop for AT LEAST a week at a time, most times for 2 weeks. If you have a family, that bag of crisps is gone in one or two go's. So is a gallon of milk -- here we drink milk by the glass, in cereal, cook with it, etc....it's not just for coffee or tea. Lots of people I know buy in bulk and then freeze portions or freeze meals ahead of time. I think it's just a cultural difference, the way we shop and the way we think about food and the way we use different things.

I grocery shop as seldom as possible so I buy things like family packs of meat, separate into smaller portions then freeze it. I have a side by side fridge/freezer and a deep freeze.

Sometimes people from UK forget that the U.S. is still on the Standard system of weights and measurement so yes it's still a little bigger than metric weights and measurement. Of course yes the packaging is made for a week or two of family use to avoid having to go to the market every couple of days.
I always have a trip to Walmart whenever I’m over there. Totally agree with you about moving the trolleys. Very hard to do. Mainly my Walmart shopping consists of m and m’s and chips ahoy cookies. Think my best buy last October was the sock advent calendars. Bought them for my daughters got nightmare before Christmas for one and marvel for my other daughter. Saw them for sale on Facebook when I got back for 3 times the price so I wish I had brought more home lol. Could have made a fortune
Our trolley was more snacks for the parks and gifts. Really did hate the trolleys. Haha. Could have spent a fortune. X

It's fun walking around the land of plenty. I've been a Costco member for decades and have entered and then left empty handed. I've also gone into Walmart and left with just a single item. It will all be there tomorrow - if I need it. I'm not much of an impulse shopper. Too much impulse shopping and you eventually run out of home storage space.
People usually have large families, and even more so large family and friend gatherings and parties, that's why things have the option of family and party size

There is a massive amount of choices but if your borne here you have your favorite brands of whatever your buying and that's how we cut through that you just know witch brand of every thing your buying
I have a now retired relative who was an executive at Walt Disney World. Upon my first visit to the Magic Kingdom, she escorted me all around the park. Before leaving, I wanted to purchase souvenirs on Main Street by which to remember my day. She stopped me and said Florida locals never buy their Disney things at the Magic Kingdom because the prices are expensive compared to the stores, like Walmart, who carry essentially the same stuff at more reasonable prices. I was initially disappointed to leave without a souvenir ‘Mickey’ t-shirt, but later I was glad I waited. The selection of Disney paraphernalia at Walmart was impressive and the prices more reasonable. I learned a valuable lesson - buy your souvenirs at the local Walmart.
I saved, similarly, on a vacation trip to Honolulu. Skipped the tourist kiosks and headed to Walmart. They even had an huge “souvenirs” sign hanging from the ceiling. There were all of the “Hawaii” branded merchandise that tourists like to buy. An employee told me that when the locals want to send such stuff to their families and friends on the mainland, they buy their gifts at Walmart, not the overpriced tourist spots.
I’ve also bought logo wear for a particular university at the local Walmart in the college town for much less money than shopping at the local campus bookstore. The Walmart sweatshirts and hats look every bit as good as the on-campus bookstore apparel, but at a substantial savings.
Shop where the locals shop, eat where the locals eat - that’s the smart way to save. If you’re unfamiliar in a new location, just ask the locals for the name of their favorite restaurant, for example. I’ve never been steered wrong. Nobody knows their own area better than the locals.
You were quite right about those over-frosted cookies. They taste like raw dough with enough sugar to give you diabetes if you eat more than one lol. The reason we buy big quantities is because Americans generally do not like food shopping, homes have lots of storage space, and most importantly, it's considerably cheaper to buy the "family sized" box. Glad you enjoyed it, I'm American yet I still find it overwhelming. What the hell am I supposed to do with a box of SIXTY EGGS?! (Not making that up, they have family packs of 5 dozen eggs.)

60 eggs go fast if you do a lot of baking or are catering a party. When my mother made a friend's wedding cake, eggs near disappeared
We are on our 70s, just the 2 of us on a fixed income in a very small town with limited shopping. 75 miles to the closest mall. We have 2 supermarkets and Walmart. I use the sales brochures and rarely pay regular prices. We have a large frig w/ a freezer plus 2 upright freezers. I usually buy ice cream at less than $2 per carton 4-6 cartonsat a time..used to be half gallon size, but they have shrunk. Only have to get ice cream about once every month or 6 weeks. The same with coffee, chips, sodas, canned veggies, detergent, paper goods. etc. I buy milk, bread fresh veggies and fruit weekly, according to what is on sale. My house is well stocked at all times. Walmart is only for items I'm out of and aren't on sale anywhere else. Meat is only purchased on sale and determines my menus for the week. Extras are frozen.
By buying like this, I get our food at the lowest prices but don't go over my budget. I can't believe it when I see someone pick up a $6-8/ pound roast (up to more than $30) when last week it was on sale for $4/pound (around $16). And they bypass the skinless, boneless chicken breasts on sale for $2/pound. They must have unlimited money, but we don't and I make every penny count.

I must say that this Wal Mart is one of the best stocked I've ever seen. And I've worked for Wal Mart 13 years. Of course it is one year into the pandemic and peoples buying habits/hoarding has made a difference.

Okay, so the packages are big. Doesn't mean you have to eat it all in one sitting, lol. Take a portion out, refrigerate the rest, use as needed. Saves money to buy in bulk and also saves on trips back to the store.
Holy blank. i have NEVER been to a Walmarts - thank goodness!!!!! there are none in Manhattan (NY). on the other hand, you can get things in bulk - try and find those bigger boxes or bottles in NYC. hah! good luck! i can’t even find larger bottles of vinegar where i live!!!
Do keep in mind when looking at package sizes (and not just food) that families with 4+ children are not uncommon. And a gallon or 1/2 gallon of milk is reasonable if you eat cereal for breakfast (kids will also eat it after school), so baking, or, erm...DRINK A GLASS OF MILK. For a splash in yer cuppa, a pint will suffice.

One reason we Americans buy such big bags of stuff (aka. Bulk Purchasing), is that if we find things like grated cheese On Sale, we can bring it home, divide it into smaller bags, keep one in the refrigerator, freeze the rest, and "Bob's your Uncle" ..... You got bargain cheese for months! Most American families keep a separate freezer in the laundry room, garage, or other such storage room.
We have large homes with large fridges. I even have a deep freezer in my basement. It's not like we eat everything in one sitting...
I typically do a big shopping trip about twice a month and load up on freezer items, meats, cereals, canned goods and stuff like that. Then during the week I will usually grab a gallon of milk, and some fresh bread as needed.
I know…right…Walmart has it all..great IPA beer…slabs of fresh salmon…fresh greens…plants in gardening section…curtains…bath rugs…you name it!
I do a big shopping once a month. Then pick up fresh veggies and fruits weekly.
Why do Brits measure things by the size of their head. I have seen several British peoples video and they all do it. Is that how you decide to purchase things in England?? “ well it’s smaller than my head so I will purchase it”. Haha
We use this method for all major purchases.

Lol... we don't get stressed because we're used to it! The large portions like that cheese you picked up are either for if you have a large family then you don't have to run back to the store every few days.... And also even for one or two people usually buying the larger package costs less in the longer run, i.e. it can be a lot less per pound! And, lol, y'all needed to find other restaurants than burger joints, ha, ha!
I agree Walmarts are pretty busy and usually not in the best condition. So I shop at another regional supermarket (Meijer) for my main groceries and then also Costco and Aldi's.
That milk carton is the smaller version lolll but anyway, funny seeing your surprise at Walmart! I don't think Americans find it overwhelming at all. You just walk in and automatically block out anything you're not looking for. That being said, Walmart is the most depressing place in the world.
Ours sizes are larger because we have bigger refrigerators and kitchens, and we typically shop for a week or more at a time, not every day or two like in Europe.
Firtst, that is not the normal size supercenter. That Walmart is massive because of how close it is to Disneyworld. Also not all Walmarts are crowded like that. I wouldn't shop at that one.

walmarts and costco are volume buying .. mostly costco but large walmarts are same way. I dont go to costco but maybe once every two months.
No stress to shop there. Simply write down a list of what you need, then go there and buy it. I love going for the variety. If anything I'd complain that they don't have ENOUGH variety because often I'll discover something new I like from walmart and then, after I've bought it a few times and come to rely on it being available they stop carrying it. That's when it gets frustrating.
With Walmart, you think you are going in to pick up a few things but you always end up buying a lot more than you intended!

Tip: Always test out the carts before entering the store.
If it doesn’t roll correctly, choose one that does and leave the wobbly one behind, so they know that one needs a screwdriver to tighten the wheels.
Taking the trolleys around the parking lot causes the wear and tear which could get missed when collected in stacked rows.
It takes one extra minute to avoid the frustration of having to steer instead of guide the shopping cart.

shopping carts are different in the UK, Im sure they have the same ones in the US i personally never came across them but in the UK the wheels swivel so you can side scoot. the ones he is talking about the back wheels are locked into place.
Yea Walmart shopping isn't for a weekly run. I go once every 2 months or so. It's just me and my mom but we have a standup freezer that we can stock up so nothing is going to go to waste. Anything that gets used quicker, we go to Food Lion which is a regular grocery that could fit inside Walmart, lol. That half gallon of milk will last more than a few days depending on how much you drink/use.
Haha ...no you get used to it and you pick your favourites and ignore the rest..but we do have smaller stores so for quick trip you hit smaller places
Walmart has bigger sizes so that you can buy items for families at a discount. If you notice, the large items say "family size" or "party size". If you want smaller sizes, you can go to any number of other grocery stores such as Publix, Kroger, etc.
Usually, I do a monthly shopping trip. Large fridge and Freezer. If you're buying at Walmart then you're going for choices and bulk. Like the cheese bag you pointed out would be for a larger family gathering, making (multiple?) large dish, or you intend to long term store it.
Walmart is definitely big and that's why you usually make a shopping list before to leave the house so you make a plan for your pathing and avoid impulse buys (like cute key chains and ring lamps).
There's always a sale going on in every department at Walmart.
Don't get us wrong, I would probably eat that full bag, it's just that in the UK, normal food stores don't have these sizes in so to us its funny to see.

Did they find any jeans? Our walmart on Kauai does not replenish the stock on jeans. They tell you to order online and if you return twice, you cannot order online again!
A lot of Americans buy in bulk so that shopping doesn't have to be done so often. We have a lot more storage space for food in our homes like walk-in pantries, large refrigerators, and chest freezers which are just 2m × 2m × 1m freezers.
I personally do my actual grocery shopping about once a month.
I get 10lbs each of chicken, salmon, ground beef, ribeye steak, and pork chops. Then I get a 25lb (about 11.4kg) bag of rice, chicken broth, and any condiments I am low on.
For stuff like bread, produce, eggs, milk and other dairy I have an awesome convenience store right by me that sells all that (including fresh baked bread) so I can just pick it up as needed.
I think Walmart carts in every Walmart store suck! Target has the best carts. lol

The cart wasn't messed up.. it probably rolled forward & back fine. He's referring to the back wheels of the cart not being free rolling in circles. Carts in Europe must be more like the carts at IKEA where they can move independently in all directions without turning around. IKEA carts are aggravating because they roll away on their own constantly.

Loved it! You all are going on about the amount of choices being mental. Yet, those of us who deal with it as part of daily life could go on & on about what they wished was carried. By the way, you where only a isle away from the firearm section when filming near the fishing gear.
