Nothing wrong with any of that at all Devon! :)
Definitely a couple of ideas there I can play around with, cheers! (I like that change to the IV chord one especially).
And when you were playing that soloing stretch to begin, I think I heard the start of a lick I got from BB King that he 'stole' from a jazz singer (Mikhaila Jackson?), might be the first time I've heard that anywhere else.
I love playing with chromatic ideas in a blues context too, and just generally playing around with things that take you outside of the standard blues pentatonic - all adds so much more character.
And talking of people who took things outside of the standard 'boxes', RIP Jeff Beck...will be sorely missed.

RIP to Jeff for sure, he'll be missed, yea, I definitely threw some jazz licks in there for sure, they spice the Blues up indeed

Anybody can learn to play fast. To play a solo where you can hear the chord changes, even if the backing track is off, that is a real talent. The solo following the chords...
    Bravo, cool playing.
Note that Guthrie Govan can do very fast and you can hear him following the chord changes. But nobody likes a smart ass ))

Oh yea Govan is definitely among the few that play fast, but can still play musically 4 sure. Six string beast!
