Agreed, the in-line slit/cut option with the C12/14000 is very impressive and I will likely consider one of them some day. Would really help out a one-man shop like me.

Mabie you should move the banner feeder from one 3070 to the other and then put the high cap feeder on it and the recycle bin we're the banner feeder is right now. Just an idea from someone who has worked in a small shop area before
When it comes to being productive, I don't think that you can ever have too many machines. It must make it s bit more difficult running between each machine making sure that the print quality is fine.
Hi, great vids! You show me many new things, THANKS! I'm also printer on Konica Minolta printers - accurio press 6070 and 12000. I have question about imposition, how with use PDF snake soft can I make booklet imposiotion with completing 32 pages and 16 pages as penuntimate before the last 32 pages sheet?
Hi Dan, this setup is very cool but what I was wondering is with all these toner printers isn't start beginning potentially risky in terms of health? I stumbled upon Wikipedia page talking about laser printing and it says it can give health issues because all the ozoning and small particles en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laser_printing?wprov=sfla1 what do you think about it? maybe do exists powerful aspirators that you can install in the laboratory who can suck most of particulate and change air very fast, i saw them in movies and documentaries but I have no idea how much a system like that could cost, but if it's for health could be definitely worth of it. Hope my message could be useful :)👍
Interesting. There are several filters that are used on each machine. The ozone section confuses me because I have heard of people buying machines to create ozone because of health benefits. I guess it just depends who you ask. I'll have to do some more research on these topics. Thanks for letting me know.
@@justaprinter Regarding Ozone I can't really help because my knowledge of chemistry is limited. For the toner emissions they should be treated as every particulate under certain dimension, because the nose can't filter them being too small they could go streight to the lungs and sits there, it's something alike of cigarette smoke or diesel cars. A good amount is probably kept inside the printer filtering system, however being run all day long maybe some sort of vacuum aspirator near the printers main units sucking the most of microscopic (or nanoscopic) particulate could be an additional help. This is a case where if you ask medics they will give you an answer, if you ask printer manufacturers will give you another. At the end the choice is follow your guts (not the printed ones haha), I would say better play safe than sorry, not telling to invest tons of money on it... maybe you can find aspirator stuff used on Craigslist too :) Probably exists also ISO standards for working in certain environments (how aspirators should be installed, and so on), this could be a good starting point.
@@justaprinter I know at the print shop at the college (they use KM presses) they have an air filter machine. They also try to keep the side door open to try to have cross ventilation. When we switched from in-person to online learning I had to help pack packets for my correspondence classes at the local prison. I have noticed between that print shop and the UPS store that also used Konica Minolta copiers that there is a distinct aroma. Air filters would be a good idea, even though I know there are filters in the machines as well. I have a Ricoh C435dn and I know that there are filters in it that eventually I will need to replace (I believe they come with the Fuser).

PS: I work for Xerox. Every brand has its good and bad. If You want to compare something, I'd like too! Let me know. Cheers...
Well, that gives me an idea... I also have a C3070 and I know for sure that C1070 has the same toner formula as The bigger brother The C6085 (TN-622). If we buy the bigger bottles we can refill The smaller TN-619 and still get original toner resulting in same quality but considerably cheaper. I still need to do some research to see if it is worth the extra mess :))

I have considered it. But for not I don't do too many labels so I but pre die cut labels only. Some of the custom cutters are tempting, they are only a few thousand bucks.
Hi Dan, can I ask you an opinion? It's my first time laminating with a professional machine, I've just bought a roll laminator, smaller than yours but still heavy (50kg). Because I do plan to laminate single sided I will just use one roll, normally they say it's best to use a laminating roll a little smaller than the sheet itself, for example if your sheet is an SRA3 one (32 cm width) you would go using a roll of 31.5 cm. In my case however I have to laminate sheets (A3 ones 29.7 cm) smaller than my roll (31.5 cm). I read somewhere that you need to put a roll of scrap paper under the one being laminated in order to prevent the rolls get dirtied by extra glue being the roll bigger than the original sheet itself. Can glue outside the sheet be a real problem? On some laminator demo videos I saw on internet they laminate sheets with extra space without thinking it twice. Do you also suggest to add a scrap sheet or a roll below? What it could be the right choice if you have to laminate sheets smaller than the roll size? Sadly I can't impose a smaller job on bigger sheets and cut everything after. I have to laminate A4 (29.7 cm landscape) and A3 (29.7 cm portrait) sheets with 31.5 cm rolls that are the smallest rolls available for professional laminating.
