      Gauss law is true for all kind of charge distribution, but its mathematics for uneven surface will be complicated enough. Gauss is still valid.

Back in my time there was no video of HC sir on TH-cam but only his book which I have even today in my book rack out of respect and love I have for physics. Maybe I wouldn't be able to do anything in the field itself but I will keep gaining knowledge of physics as a hobby.

    Thanks Sir for clarifying this and beautifully explaining the Gauss' Law in simple words.
    Gauss Law in Electrostatics states that the closed integral of dot product of Electric Field and differential area vector over a complete surface area of a closed Gaussian surface is equal to 1/ epsilon times the total charge present inside the Gaussian surface.
    Please note that the Electric Field in this law is the total/resultant Electric Field due to all the charges present in the given space i.e due to internal as well as external charges.

    The explanation is very simple. Because the no. of Field lines entering the surface will be equal to the No. Of lines coming out. For the charges outside

    • @dhruvbaghel466
      @dhruvbaghel466 ปีที่แล้ว

      No it's not that simple. Flux is not just determined by number of lines. Consider the case where from one side of surface, very close field lines are entering but from other side, very spaced lines are coming out. That means field is not uniform throughout the space. And hence flux is non zero.
      Even if you want to conceive the idea of flux by number of lines, it must be defined as how symmetrically these number of lines are passing through the surface. When viewed from different angles, if this field doesn't change, this means flux is finite and.
      The flux due to outside charges is zero because the elementary particle obeys coulomb law. If not, gauss law can't hold true.

    Nice question. It's net e field associate with flux generated from qin. although there is e field From all the charges but flux from outside charges will be zero. Explanation will remain as it is if there is boundaries with different permitivity. Until there is no polarized charges on the surfaces. I think after this you have to consider electric flux density instead of electric flux intensity.

    I think this is because the outside charges in the "left" region of the area bounded, reinforce/add up to the electric field while towards the "right" region of the area bounded, they cause a decrease in the electric field. so all totalled, the total flux is the same as the inside charges.

      @@aaravsrikrishan2248 Okay I will reread but I wanna leave a question so plz answer it.
      Q. Charge applies force on another charge and force can only be applied if you have mechanical energy so where does charge get that mechanical energy from? If it can apply the force for infinite time, it is violation of law of conservation of energy.

      @@But_Whyyyy no mechanical energy is not needed for force if you drop a pebble from the top of a building it is experiencing a force without any external support.

      Why violation of energy? Just because something exist for infinite time doesn't mean that energy is not conserved.. I can have a cookie whose expiry date is infinity doesn't mean the energy is not conserved.

      @@mashironmashiron6131 if a charged particle has infinite energy, it means it has infinite mass but in reality, it has finite mass.

    Flux of an outside charge is zero but electric field may or may not be zero then how to calculate only the electric field of outside charge

    • @HarshithNayakanti
      @HarshithNayakanti 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      q/e. formula is only to calculate flux
      if you want to calculate the net electric field then you should find the net electric field of the closed surface and due to other charges and add them all

    5:42 I have a doubt here, please clarify it. At the time stamp I have mentioned u told that electric flux cancels out."But we know that magnitude of electric field due to a point charge decreases as we choose a point away from that,so flux due to this charge won't cancel out exactly". Please clarify this sir(or anybody who have in depth understanding in gauss law).
    Thank you!
