I believe the bulge on the side and bottom looks more true to the Antonov aircraft you referenced. Additionally, the saying; “Flying by the seat of your paints,” is referencing when aircraft didn’t have (accurate) instruments so the pilots would fly by how the feel the aircraft moving in their seat.
Hey Robin, I believe the tabs of the Command Strips can be folded over and hidden under the small plastic tabs on the base of the hooks. That should hide the lettering.
I'm not much of a planes guy, but it has bugged me since 2008 that the curves on the white bands around the propellers don't extend to the underside. The flat buttom design of the entire engine module just looks odd to me. So my only suggestion would be to continue the curve on the underside to complete the ring, especially since your plane is mounted high enough that you can actually see the underside. Delightful video as always. 😊
@@RobinHoodBricks if it falls down, well R.I.P to the floating restaurant for Brick Nottingham aswell as both the pilots of the plane and the people on the boat restaurant.
I have full faith that the plane will stay up on the wall! Without the heavy weight of the drivers pants it’s gonna be way less stress on the command strips. Going commando saved the day.
Here's a fun idea for a ship hanging from the ceiling Set 75356 Super Star destroyer as a fun reference. It's a smaller set, so it doesn't scale with anything else, but I think it would look great hanging on the ceiling.
Robin, I have complete faith in you that this plane will NEVER fall! It will remain airborne as long as you choose to let it do so :D Very awesome build, which was a set from earlier on in my 20 year Dark Age period! I like it!
Yeah there's a real sweet spot around 2012 when all the City sets were good. I like LEGO brands and the Cargo green and white sets are very collectable!
When I was a kid, I had the Classic Space LL924 and it had the clamshell cargo doors in the rear. Several times I made cargo spacecraft using mostly pieces from the LL924. I used the hinge pieces near the front so that the cockpit area swiveled to the left or right exposing the cargo area. I took inspiration for this from the old Guppy cargo planes they used to haul rocket components.
Ooh so that’s what or those plane parts were for! Looks awesome! I think there should be some SSP () aircraft’s incepting the plane to make for a fun scene!
6:25 .. you could had that on the other side of your airport .. just the nose open !! With some cargo like all the black trousers you managed to save 😂
On those inner studs of the wings it might be neat to place a 1x2 yellow tile and a 1x2 blue tile to fill it in. The colors match the globe shipping insignia, and is a little homage to the Antonov, but it's already hung up and might be a fuss to change, no one wants a crash landing! Noone would see that detail once it's up there, so may not be worth the risk to mess with.
Thank you for the video today, enjoyed it. Really like this plane. I have the red passenger jet above our city. Actually has green swamp creatures as gremlins tearing apart the wings
Here is an idea - Do the Antinov 225 Equivalent like a building flat maybe? It can be delivering a new wagon for the large goods train! Then you only need to model the front and we can imagine the rest?

Maybe the pilots are quite warm due to not using the air conditioning system to not use up its cooling fluid (maybe drinkable alcohol, yes this actually happened in the USSR).
It looks like you will have to install an aircraft control tower in the middle of the city or you will have the biggest air collision in history. Something to think about!
Hi Robin, one suggestion from my side for the green cargo plane. To make it more realistic, the wings should be on top of the fuselage and not in the middle. Cargo planes are usually all shoulder wing aircraft.
@@awesomealbertt1150 In a middle wing plane the wingbox would obstruct the majority of the cabin. Usually you have two types of cargo planes. Converted low wing passenger planes (e.g.747, MD11, A330, 727) or dedicated cargo planes with shoulder wings (C-17, An-22, C-130, A400, An-124).
