I drove to edinburgh twice, loved it!
But oh boy, you have to travel down to liverpool to get those chippies! I highly recommend this corner store to you, and to everybody else:
best kebab, which is located on brownlow hill road right in the middle of the city. It's operated by some turkish guys if I'm not mistaken, it's halal for muslims too.
When I was there last year it opened from 4pm to 4am. Yup you read that correctly. Twice I stopped there around midnight, driving back home to liverpool from manchester airport after some trips to europe. In the cold weather where you might be mistaken to be smoking every time you spoke or breathed out through your mouth, those freshly baked, smoking hot fish and chips provided a delicious relief! As long as I remembered to tell the guys, no vinegar and loads of extra mayonnaise hahah. And every time I went there was specifically for their thick delicious fish and chips, never for their kebabs haha. I've tasted fish and chips in blackpool and some other cities, but personally that corner store in liverpool was the best ever, and what we have in malaysia do not even come anywhere close!
And it only cost £6.50 with the chips!!

    I remember these:
Milo can of 400g was £4.50 both in tesco and sainsbury's, and neither had a different size nor the soft refill packs
Fragrant thai jasmine rice sack of 5kg was £7 in sainsbury's, that was the max size they carried, if you wanted a 10kg sack you need to go to the mini markets operated by middle eastern or oriental owners, but usually those stores had higher prices
Sainsbury's own brand whole milk was £1.75 for a carton of 2.27L (yes it's odd, but surprise surprise, the UK still uses imperial measurements instead of metric in many things, including distances therefore speedometers in cars display mph!)
For mineral water, a carton of 4 bottles x 2L each (here they used metric already hahah) was cheapest at aldi, at £1.39 and although most of the times I shopped either at tesco or sainsbury's, I cannot recall what their prices were, probably around £1.70
Colgate total went for £3 at tesco for the 125ml tube
And lastly, sainsbury's own brand 75g a4 printer paper was £4.75 but I don't remember how many pieces were in that ream

Although illegal in Malaysia consider handcuffs when in front of the camera.
Buying decent bread in Malaysia is so, so difficult and all of that shown caters for local tastes and is loaded with sugar. For good bread, you have to bake it yourself or try and find a proper local bakery in which case you have to take time and travel costs into account.
Good cheese is also difficult to buy outside of Cold Storage stores although at least, supermarkets do offer some choice. I usually buy mine in Singapore. Malaysian milk is nowhere close to UK milk in terms of taste.
It's never worth buying cheap suitcases even if you travel once a year.
Bananas used to be so much cheaper, so cheap that many small shop just left them hanging outside after they closed. The range of fruit is impressive and cheap but best bought after tasting which small vendors don't just allow but encourage.
Local people don't like chicken breasts because they're considered dry and tasteless, that's why they're so cheap. If you want decent beef you have a real problem, it's very difficult to find and very, very expensive.
"Quality eggs" how do you know? If you're going to make comparisons to the UK then you have to include all of the quality assurance, traceability and animal welfare and nit just prices.
Sugar free soda? I wouldn't drink it let alone give it to children.

I cut down sugar 90% so I could continue to eat until I die. I don't want diabetes or any other medication.

@cac1504 How much do you pay for your house installments, your car, your wife's car. utility bills, children tuition fees, groceries for a family of 5 and how much money do you give your old parents plus their medical treatments a month. On top of that you have to take your family out for dinner and outings.
