When your bro said you need to find the answer in your poo the next morning! Seeing how hard the rapids were for others and how you made it look easy really shows the experience/training levels!! I typically trip alone as it is hard to find ppl to trip with here in North Bay. Just finished Temagami and heading to do Mattawa River next week Cheers From @NotSoEpicAdventurer
I didn't say anything he is lying. Bring back the gourmet meals... the insane meals in the woods and start smoking stuff it's in aligment with the life in the woods. Smoke some jerky for 4-5 hours and enjoy :P Amazing vids guys keep up the good work A++
Dude you knocked that canyon run out. North is bad ass, first riding out the whitewater then how you have him so well trained to meet you downstream. The music you choose is awesome.
Wonderful to see 4 friends having a whale of a time. I never get tired of watching North, he's such a cool hand on the canoe, like he's been doing it all his life. Enjoyed this a lot, thanks Jim.
Great video Jim. Love your channel and all the adventures you go on. Best wishes from down here in New Zealand. By the way, the answer to Ted's duck riddle is 4.
My man, Jimmy, with another BANGER of a video; let’s all give props to Jim for his amazing video content progression; each video story gets BETTER and BETTER. Keep on nature hustlin, Hustler! Love it
Great times, just got back from an 8 2 state tent camping motorcycle adventure with friends, and in two weeks we leave for an 11 day Kayak adventure covering several rivers in the Smokey Mountains as well as the outskirts, ending in a deep water mountain lake to try and get some walleyes and trout. Nothing like hanging with friends and soaking up the outdoors! You and a few others have inspire me to keep going in my 50s, and I hope you stick with it till your well beyond my years. Thanks to you and the boys for the inspiration, keep doing what you do and never stop!
Bravo Jim that was awesome it's nice to watching you, you have such a good time with your brother and your friends and North is such a good dog 🐕 take care and hello to your family.
Tell your brother he's an asshole... hahaajk!! Tell him his meals suck lately where are the feasts in the woods. Believe it or not it's a big part of what people enjoy watching the cooking and the end result and the seal of approval that it's verry good. We are wired like this... damn Annunakis created us like that.
Man watching these reminds you that practice, training, experience plays a huge part - Jim going down was like art - like that looks easy I’d try that lol. then watching the rest of you “struggle” was a prime example. Glad to see all of your out playing safe together and learning!!! Love it!!!
My wife and I did the western loop of the magnetewan starting in Harris Lake the same weekend! Beauty River. Always see wildlife when we go to the area.
great video looked like an awesome canoe trip for you guy's beautiful landscape as always and great footage of the rapids you guy's had to ride. North does so well on these adventures . that was one very nasty looking set of churning water and rapids at the canyon your skills are second to none amazing job Jim.! nice that Xander held it togetgeter and got through , you guys did amazing what an action packed video love it all.
What a fun trip just down the road for me here in North Bay, I’ll have to check it out! We just got back from Temagami and the Eureka no buz zone was a saviour for my gf and dog who unlike me prefer not to suffer lol thanks for sharing another epic trip!! Cheers 🎣🏕️
The baird brothers are definitely more experienced doing white water in a canoe- which is crazy in itself. But definitely looks like an awesome adventure
Of yeh you are really good in a canoe. Your runs are what I would do in my kayak. So you being to do that in a canoe is definitely awesome. Keep the adventures coming mate!
Great video. It’s like watching my grandkids on a carnival ride. The excitement, and ultimately the joy at the end of the ride. Love, love, love your videos. ❤
Fun vid to watch. That second rapid that everyone made was really fun to watch your buds made some nice braces to make it. The fella with the double blade should give a canoe paddle a try. Much more power in the strokes and 5 times the brace power... Just saying. Keep up the good work. We enjoy it for sure. Steve, corkscrew was my river name
Thanks a lot, you should let them know you want more as Disney cut way back in everything after their stock plummeted to an eight year low. So, at this pint there’s no more episodes slated.
Loved the whitewater. Every time, I’m riding the waves with you guys ,I’m my canoe or yak. I’m impressed with how you guys handle those long boats. I have a 12ft solo oldtowne, and I could maybe see a 14ft under myself, but not sure I could handle much more than that in those conditions. I’d so run that in my 12ft. Thanks guys. Good stuff.
Awesome video Jim. Good company and good times. North has certainly fit right in. I love my bluetti also. Hard to imagine such a wild river not far from home. Great drone shots. All the best to your family
Thanks a lot, it’s wild for where it, south of the French Ricer. There’s no road access for about the last 40kms however it’s nothing like the real wilderness rivers I paddle up to James Bay and in places like the Yukon, etc.
You were fearless ripping over that dam - too bad Xander spilled in the rapids - As always it’s good to see North riding shotgun - thanks for the video
When y’all were scouting that canyon I said to myself, “Come on, Jimmy, run that fucker”, and then you said you were gonna do it, and I couldn’t have been more proud and pleased.
Great trip. Didn't know that part of the river is so wild. We frequently put in at byng inlet and head west for some small sailboat and dinghy adventures. Great area
Hope you and the family are safe and removed from all the fires Jim. I would love to hear your perspective on things. Is. This seasonal, and to be expected, or something more, if so what ???
What a good night...watching your new show on Nat Geo.. and watching this...the TV show was great Jim...and so was this video..cant wait to see more ...hope everything works out well for you ...take care ✌️
What a good exit was a litle dangerous but everything went well, I'am amazed at the domination you have at the canoe is great and it's beautifull crazy, greethings for to your brother and North loved this dog
Love Ted's 3R song when Xander was collecting spare parts from the canoe! :) lol Some really strong paddling, terrifying but exhilarating! I was on the edge of my seat for all those crazy rapids. Thanks for sharing, looking forward to Part 2. :) :)
Jim and the boys im reliving my own adventures here downunder on a river called the Mitta Mitta thankyou you have stirred my memories of another era which in many ways priceless
Jim, you're right! The Magnetawan River is great! It's just North of where I used to have my cabin on Shawanaga. My daughter Andrea, and I have paddled your river a few times. It's beautiful.
Dam that was awesome!!! 😂. Seriously ppl don’t try that at home. This man has been working on his skills & know how for a long time. Thanks for another great video guys!!❤
"You feel mighty free and easy and comfortable on a raft." Mark Twain Loved the dam run. I must admit I was a little nervous and then excited to run it! Thanks for making room for your fans! I didn't hear your famous, "Yeah!"

Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!! Epic adventure with the boyz
The most amazing thing about this video is Jim's shirt, the same one that survived 25+ days on the Manitoba trip.I gave that shirt up for dead.
Hahah, yup, cuts still going strong

Thanks! That was a great start to the adventure.
That paddle slap at 33:22 was actually so clutch! Love from Saskatchewan Jim!
Indeed, it was a high brace when the canoe was ripping away from my paddling side and then a low brace when it tipped towards my paddling side
That was an awesome Charlie Brown Zander did on that rapid! Great stuff!
