Translating Morpho Knight's stuff is kind of harder since the descriptions are always written in archaic/poetic sounding Japanese. I guess it really is an ancient being.
Oh hi Tayo! You're the cool guy who does translation work right?!? Are your translations open to the public, cuz I would love to read some of the lore stuff.
@@ToxicPea From time to time, yeah. I like to do small translation stuff as a hobby. Kirby localization always seems to change a lot of little details for some reason. 😅
@@ToxicPea To answer your questions, I just translate things as they're requested and don't really keep a record or anything. Anything that is in Meteor's videos with my name near it is stuff I was asked to translate some time ago. I also enjoy Kirby, so it usually just works out.
I have a little anecdote for y'all: > When i was a little kid, i watched a puppet show called 'Cocóricó', one of the episodes was about metamorphosis, and one of the scenes was a shot of a butterfly breaking out of its crisalida, but the way it was shot made it SUPER CREEPY > Anyway got a strong butterfly phobia from this > Got better as i got older, can even tolerate them nowadays ***TIME SKIP*** > Start playing that one hard as mod for RTDL > Grama ask what i'm playing, and show her me get absolutely trashed by Magalor Soul, and then show the franchise and game for her, she likes it and even show the final cutscene from the game > If you remember well, RTDL ends with Kirby and cia waking up from the crash, and guess who lands gently in Kirby's belly? > Grandma says, poking fun of me: 'see, they're (butterflies) harmless, no need to be scared of them, look how cute they are!' > -_- mfw TDLR: butterflies are dangerous and Cocórico warned me!
Dear NOVA... I can only imagine what would happen if my younger self were to see such a thing prior to seeing Morpho Knight appear for the first time in Star Allies. Just the thought of seeing such a thing gives me the Jibblies!
1:23 "The power of time" I guess you could say Morpho Knight's a result of the Butterfly Effect That bit about Morpho's phantoms is pretty interesting, hope we get to learn more about Morpho Knight soon, it hasn't made many appearances yet, and I'd love to see what HAL does with it in the future
yup it took too long when he was the old meta and this is were i found that out on actually ripped straight out of an early design choice for Meta Knight conceived an astonishing 25 years ago, during the development of ‘Kirby’s Adventure’ for the Nintendo Entertainment System Morpho Knight was thought to originally be a beta design for Meta Knight, while having redesigned wings and sword Morpho Knight reuses concept art of a design that was intended to be an original character introduced in the canceled Kirby game for the GameCube Morpho Knight’s butterfly form is nearly identical to the orange butterflies that are seen in several of the newer Kirby opening and ending cutscenes Kirby Adventure is a cancelled platform game that was announced for the Nintendo GameCube at E3 2005 The levels were rendered in 3D, but the game play was still a side-scroller, much like in Kirby64 still a side-scroller, much like in Kirby i saw this when i was looking up something on bing Morpho Knight has red sparkling butterfly wings on its back show this to other youtubers i hope you did
The best part about Morpho Knight is when he went up to Galacta Knight and Fecto Forgo and said “It’s morphin’ time!” and morphed the shit out of those guys.
I brought this up on a twitter, but there’s the heavy implication based on the dream friends Morpho themes that he has the soul of every major final boss in the series that has canonically died(Every Dark Matter, Nightmare, Sectonia, the Master Crown etc.) Haltmann being the one exception due to his Soul essentially being destroyed by Star Dream, but it’s interesting to note that Morpho themselves isn’t evil, more neutral at worst, considering Galacta wanted to die and they sent him to the afterlife with no issue, it seems like Morpho doesn’t just steal souls for the sake of it, they are technically a Valkyrie according to what the games imply so maybe this idea could be explored in a future game.
It's so interesting to me that Morpho Knight really isn't much of a bad guy. Idk why he fights Kirby. Maybe he really is bad and wants to absorb Kirby. Or maybe he just wants to test his skills against him. Morpho isn't a friend to Kirby, but he's like someone who watches over him. He may be watching over him just to see if he's still alive, but it feels nice to know that this super powerful warrior is always flying by his side.
I wonder if Morpho fights Kirby in particular merely because he happens to be in the way of his valkyrie/psychopomp-like job. Forgotten Land makes sense but maybe Morpho EX was after the Heroes of Another Dimension version of the the Mage Sisters in particular in Star Allies. Each of their backstories has them in the face of certain, seemingly unavoidable death before Hyness saved them and they do go through a lot. The bad ending could even be a sign that they're ready to be "reaped" without Kirby interfering with the friend hearts, and it makes an added bit of sense why he's the final boss of Guest Star for them.
There's a lot we still don't know about Morpho. For example, his intentions. Throughout his descriptions he's stated to either take out souls who have gone past an acceptable living point (leaning towards a neutral, grim reaper approach), or absorb the strongest presence in the room (leaning towards a more power hungry warrior approach). It's really hard to tell where he stands or why he fights. Is he evil or just looking to test any newfound absorbed strength? Is he interested in Kirby? The little pink guy's super powerful and is always in life threatening situations. Has he tried to negatively judge Kirby but can't because he's so freaking broken? We may never know.
Although not canon, the light novels support the idea that multiple butterflies have the ability to become morpho "Red butterflies have an ominous power. When that power attaches to a strong warrior, an unimaginably terrifying knight may be born," this is crazy to think about how it might be impossible to truly destroy or defeat morpho knight.
Considering when Kirby drains Life Force using the Morpho Knight Sword, butterflies come from the enemy to fuse with Kirby, I'd assume this is an example of how Morpho Knight isn't necessarily one being.
@@Garland235 There's quite a few of them but they don't get released anywhere besides Japan, so if you're interested in reading them you'll have to find a fan translation.
Technically Morpho Knight is the second ever major character to make an on screen appearance because of Kirby's Dream Land. He's been here before Meta Knight, before Dedede, before even Whispy Woods. He has seen everything.
@@jotasietesiete4397 idk, the color of the first butterfly looks similar enough to me, but that also could just be my confirmation bias. It is worth mentioning though that this series is no stranger to retconning colors, like with Meta Knight's eyes, for instance.
It does make you wonder when Morpho Knight was thought up as his own character. The seeds planted in other games could be as small as a nice little recurring annecdote of a job well done to as big as it being foreshadowed 7 years before his first appearance.
I don't think the butterflies in Dream Land 1 are the same character as Morpho, because we see the same butterflies colourized in the Spring Breeze remake from Super Star and they're all yellow there instead of orange. Thus I think we can conclude that The Butterfly as we know it first appeared in Return to Dream Land.
In my head canon Morpho Knight must’ve took pity on Galacta Knight when it heard his screams coming from hell, and so it resonated/merged with him, thus basically raising him from the dead and harnessing his power as its own, which is why it is even able to take on this knight appearance in the first place. Yeah this is Kirby all right, lmao
I hope we see more Galacta Knight or Morpho Knight lore in RTDL Deluxe here in a few months these two are by far the characters I’m most intrigued about lol
I have a feeling they're gonna expand on Morpho's and/or Galacta's lore in RtD Deluxe, considering how shoehorned the latter felt in the original game... On the plus side, it would be next year, so you won't have to make another update video if it happens.
And now, the penultimate episode of What Is Kirby Canon has arrived! Considering how mysterious Morpho Knight is even now, we can only imagine just how things will go from here...
Morpho Knight is one of the most suspicious characters in Kirby and if he is able to go through time now. Does that mean we could see him in Return to Dream Land Deluxe like what if he absorbs the Master Crown that would be interesting. Also did everyone notice how in the other dimension for Return to Dream Land Deluxe there were butterflies in there that wasn’t in the original game. Maybe that hints Morpho Knight will be in the game. But thanks for the video Meteorz and I hope all of you have a good day
Some theorize that it's kinda like a hive mind deal. There is only _one_ Morpho Knight, but it can split apart into tons and tons of Morpho Butterflies. They are one, they are many.
My kinda pet theory for Morpho Knight is that he's a psychopomp (a being that guides souls to the afterlife, a la the Grim Reaper) who specifically guides warriors' souls through giving them one last incredible battle
1:16 I don't think "sympathised" here means what you think it does. There's an old definition for the word that means to harmonise and unionise. Fate Stay Night often uses it to describe two characters fusing which is what is happening here with Morpho and Galacta.
Even if that may be true, I doubt that's the case here, as saying sympathised AND fused would be quite redundant. Also, when combined with the other description that said Morpho heard the tears of the white knight, I can't see how it wouldn't be what I think it means
Oh-ho! I've been waiting for this one! Morpho Knight is such an interesting character and I'm amazed they brought him back in Forgotten Land! Also his Forgotten Land theme is a banger as well!
I still feel the one missing Jamba Heart Hyness replaced himself and the Mage Sisters with plays a role in Morpho Knight somehow, as we haven’t seen them successfully absorb any other characters until Star Allies, when the Jamba Hearts where scattered across Pop Star My theory is that Morpho was once an incredibly powerful and dangerous warrior that had to be sealed away in the form of a butterfly by the ancients, with the power of the Dark Jamba Heart granting them the power of judgement and absorption to rise once more on their quest of destruction and vengeance
I think in the Kirby universe in order to kill something truly you need to extinguish there soul otherwise they will revive reanimate or whatever. Morpho Knight may just be one of those characters who can truly end someone's exists for good
A new Meteorz vid always puts a smile on my face! PeaS: Oh also, can I know where you guys got the Morpho Knight screenshot used in the thumbnail? If Morpho Knight was planned to appear in the scrapped Kirby gamecube game, perhaps having a role similar to Galacta Knight like in the side games. Could this mean that the lore was planned out around that time before being changed after the game was cancelled? Not sure if what I said could be flawed.
Some thing I noticed is when in star allies morpho is defeated it puffs into a bunch of butterflies hearts can be seen as well but in forgotten land when its defeated there are no hearts. I also think sectonia and dark matter swordsman may have been absotbed by the butterfly scince both are dead and had a lot of power which could explain the uses of swords scince both have used them and some slashes are similar to sectonia attacks
When you think about it, Morpho Knight fusing with another being and gaining their powers isn’t all too different from Kirby’s copy ability. I’m not going anywhere with this, it’s just food for thought.
in my opinion they will not stop using Galacta Knight to replace him with Morpho Knight, at least on another gme Galactica Knight must appear and possibly make him appear canonically, because I am not convinced by the idea that they stop using Galacta Knight because his version of a universe does not canon accepted his death, Galacta Knight of the canon must also have an ending (if they really have to stop using it)
(Sorry I had to) I love it when morpho knight goes “Here lies galacta knight, his one goal of becoming canon was never fulfilled even though he’s technically canon you morons you don’t need to have a boss fight to play a major part in the Kirby lore. @@Meteorz also the fact that he has changed moves right after elfilis succ. Fun fact btw meteorz. In the original Japanese description of Morpho knight in the gatcha figurine in forgor and in the cutscene, (called baurufrey knight in jp a katakana corruption of the English word butterfly,) he’s said to be a fluttering dream sucker/slurper/sipper/? Likely a joke referencing that he is in fact a butterfly? I find it SO cute🦋
@@Meteorz When he hits a Friend with it, they become an enemy, suggesting that he messes with their senses and makes Kirby look like an enemy to them; its new function in Forgotten Land likely comes from that game not having up to 3 secondary characters at once. Its Japanese name even mentions a "scale wave", suggesting he's throwing off butterfly scales from his wings. (Sorry for the delay, I didn't see this for a while)
I mean at one point I had a theory that went a little like "What if Morpho Knight sees Kirby as a threat to the natural order considering his immense power?" and it's gonna be interesting to see what Morpho's true intentions are.
@@stanley8006 Forgotten Land’s description of Morpho Knight gave me the impression that he’s just a hungry monster who feasts on souls. Even in the non canon light novels he’s given more of an antagonistic role, impersonating Meta Knight and stealing his sword.
@@Mr_Pedro_Sombrero that was beryl, a shapeshifter who just wanted the clout of being meta knight Morpho comes in when beryl somehow sends galacta to attack kirbo and dedede. When galacta is beaten he lets out a powerful death scream (which how it’s described sounds horrifying), which is when morpho comes in and does what morpho does Beryl is kinda unrelated
another banger kirby vid (almost forgot about the butterfly place in redgar forbidden lands...) i'm mostly commenting for the algorithm, but with return to dreamland deluxe AND your big canon vid coming out, i'm ready for the nostalgia rush
The fact that Soul Forgo was able to steal Morpho Knight's power AFTER seemingly being consumed himself is a true testament to the alien's incredible psychic power. Sure, Kirby had to wear down the god of death/judgement first, but it's still something.
Gonna repost it here for those who didn't see it last time : So, here we go. My theory is not about the canon this time, but more of the representation of the entirety of the lore. We will start with Kirby's first game : Dreamland. You can easily guess that this represents the dream world. A place where dreams go. In fact, this first game is pretty standard for a dream. A cute penguin stole food and a cute hero helped people. Things go interesting with adventure/nightmare in dreamland. Kirby fights Nightmare. Of course, fighting a nightmare in a dream world is a logical choice. Interestingly, if we take a look at Nightmare’s design, we can find a lot of elements. First, his general appearance is intimidating. A tall figure with weird elements. Then, he has reflective sunglasses. There are two things to say on that. 1, you can’t see his eyes. Eyes are windows to the soul. Nightmare hides his, if he ha sone. 2, it's reflective. The glasses are black. Looking in nightmare eyes is looking at your soul in a dark mirror. Also, Nightmare has no real body, it’s a weird tornado. He is an idea, not something. Now, let’s go to the dark matter trilogy. Dark matter is the evil that comes the most in the kirby franchise. Their general appearance is a simple eye surrounded by darkness. You thought a nightmare would be the worst enemy of a dream ? Think about it : What does an open eye represent for a dream ? The moment to wake up. That’s why dark matter seems such an antagonist to dream land. But why would waking up be that bad ? Well, to wake up, means to break the dream apart… And there may be something more we will see later. Dark matter's most interesting property is to twist and manipulate elements, turning them into a nightmare. Usually, having a nightmare means waking up. Zero and 02, the same entity and chief of the whole hivemind. Their goal was to corrupt both Popstar and Ripple star. two places you can describe as whimsical, light-hearted and almost surreal. Places that don’t really make sense from a physic point of view. Ripple star is literally inhabited by fairies. They are places of happiness. Dark matter is a being of sadness. Their goal is to destroy that happiness, a bit like your emotions would fight inside you. I think you start to see my point on this one, but more with star allies. I have a lot to say on Drawcia and color theory, but let's only do the main games. Superstar. Introduction of Marx. A pure representation of insanity, driven by his own desire for power, that once again twists a dream-like situation. The hero summons a beautiful wish-granting machine, only for it to be twisted by a deceiving monster. Now, most people said Marx betrayed Kirby. I disagree. Marx and Kirby haven't been shown to be friends. Marx misled kirby. He lied, but was never someone close to him. He is a sparkle of negativity in a place of positivity. Nobody really lies in a dream. With the same idea, let’s go to Magolor with Return to Dreamland. Here, we have a true traitor. He wanted to gain Kirby's trust and friendship to achieve his goal. Whether he was corrupted at this point or just power hungry is up to debate, but the result is the same. Th emaster crown possesses Magolor and attacks kirby. We have an embodiment of a power-hungry traitor, a close friend to Kirby at this point, attacking him. magolor was possessed by what looked like dark matter. Remember, the link to the real world. A link to the real world element caused a friend to go against you. Triple Deluxe. We will let dark matter away for a bit. Due to the connection with Amazing mirror, I will do both here. Sectonia and taranza is a tragic love story where, once again, the theme of corruption is important. The central element is the mirror. The same mirror from Amazing Mirror. You could think of it as a classic mirror world, but a mirror in a land of dream has more significance. In a dream, for most people (according to studies, I didn't experience it myself), you can't look up at yourself in a mirror directly. That either cause you to wake up in terror, and your dream will become messy. Usually because your brain has a hard time processing your own image. So a mirror in a dream is a cognitohazard. Representatively, that’s the scenario of the Amazing Mirror. But we know that’s also how Sectonia went crazy. The mirror messed her up. It trapped her in an illusion that finally shattered after Kirby defeated her. Robobot. You probably know by now, but yes we go back to corruption. Star Dream corrupted Haltmann, little by little. A wish-granting machine that destroys your mind. A wish, even good and selfless, that corrupts you and makes you different. Unlike the other antagonists, Star Dream is emotionless. Driven by pure calculated logic. And his goal was to be the central place of the universe, eliminating all living beings, resulting in the death of all emotions, negative or positive. It’s also called star dream and it grants wishes, like if someone wanted for emotions to just go away… Star Allies. The linking point between all of this. Void Termina. What is Void Termina exactly ? A heart of negativity, sealed away and let in a far away place to be forgotten about. Like repressed emotions and traumas. But traumas can’t stay hidden forever. Sometimes, small parts of them appear (dark matter) and in the end, the seal breaks, freeing all the repressed negativity, overwhelming all feelings of joy that could be. Unless something or someone can help you, something that represents joy. Allies or to put it in another way, friends. Galacta knight. Where there is evil, sometimes a knight will appear. A powerful knight with angel-like wings and bright colors destroying evil. Maybe even the one to seal negativity away. Someone that cleans the mess but doesn’t really replace it… And finally, Forgotten Land. First mainline Kirby game to be in a completely different dimension. A place away from Dreamland. A place really different too. For kirby. A place more familiar for us. A place almost too realistic. There is only a small layer that separates the dreams from memories. They often mix. bUt we already saw that place, remember ? In 64, there was a dead planet earth. And it comes back again. And in this game, the final boss is also different from the others. No ulter motive, no insanity, just evil. But what is more important is the final. Two worlds colliding. dreams and memories. Both would have been destroyed on impact. Remember how we never saw the forgotten land from space ? As if it was something hard to process. Instead we have lots of colors mixing into each other. Like a brain having a hard time reconstituting an image. Conclusion : You probably guessed my point. What if the Kirby series is a metaphor for the dream ? the dream of someone living on earth. A human having problems with his life, to the point of wanting to live in his dreams. To the point of naming his memories of reality as the Forgotten Land. A place he left, letting people he cared about behind. There is a lot of reference to emotion across the series. Especially a clash between joy and sadness. What if Kirby was an idea, something that allows the dream to continue. Someone that keeps dark thought at bay, and helps to heal the wounds of traumas. Kirby is simply the everlasting representation of hope and happiness. That’s the one that helps you in your mind, an idea that lets you go onward. Kirby is the idea that things will be better one day. Thanks for reading my essay on the metaphoric side of Kirby. I just love this franchise so much. Looking forward to the next videos :)
This is just amazing. I always thought Kirby was deep and emotional, but you gave me another point of view. Thanks for making me love Kirby even more 😊 And I’d love to see what you think about the artists
An interesting meta theory, although a lot of this seems to be held up on loose strings that aren't really supported by any textual or anecdotal evidence. Still, I think it's a nice nugget to chew on!
As someone who first encountered him in Kirby and the Forgotten Land, I hope he comes back as like a canon counterpart for Galacta Knight in the post game
I love to think that Morpho knight is actually a force of good other than evil. Like his butterfly form interacting with those with a pure heart, like kirby and wants to test Kirby's power when he interacts with a strong warrior, like Galacta knight in his butterfly form. But that's just me
I wonder if this is foreshadowing. It's weird that Morpho knight just appears out of nowhere and he's been watching kirby this whole time to just appear in star allies. Wonder if Kirby is going to eventually become like dark matter, and Morpho appeared to prevent it from happening. Then there's Deedeedee not just growing as a character but in strength as well. Even the celebration picture, it shows Dedede surrounded by all the finall bosses instead of kirby. Seems farfetched, but it feels like the friends kirby has made will be the ones to save him in the end.
Personally, I think that the butterfly decided to fuse with galacta knight mid judgment, freeing him from his shackles of constantly being summoned and forced to fight, allowing galacta knight to fight on his own accord.
I had an idea about Morpho that I think is very interesting. Now that he's officially canon, what if it's the reason most Soul Bosses _aren't_ canon? All these final bosses that have secret soul forms in the True Arenas and extra modes, but why don’t they become Souls in the normal game? Well, in Fecto Forgo's case, we know exactly why - Morpho came out of nowhere and absorbed them. Morpho seems to have a habit of cockblocking god-like beings just as they spawn. Who's to say it’s only happened to Galacta and Fecto? It takes souls to the afterlife. Doesn’t matter if they’re also world-ending eldritch entities, a soul is still a soul. So the Soul fights (a majority of them) are hypotheticals of “What if Morpho didn’t come afterwards?” The cutscene that shows Marx Soul’s creation clearly makes it out to be an aftermath type thing, yet it apparently must not have happened since Kirby didn’t actually have to fight Marx Soul. But what if it _did_ happen and Marx really did become Marx Soul, only for Morpho Knight to show up and cut it short before he could actually do anything? tl;dr Soul bosses aren't canon because Morpho prevents them from happening.
The way I see it, the Morpho Butter does have a sense of morality, choosing those it affects to either be some sort of envoy-like, given how it fused with Galacta Knight, or as nothing more than a tool or powerset, which was its decision for Forgo. That leads me to believe the ghouls in its Star Allies fight actually were just random victims rather than Galacta Knight's image.
Ok so uh from kirby and the forgotten land SOMETHING tells me that kirby actually fused with the little orange butterfly when kirby got morpho nights power if thats true then for defeating the eternal knight kirby is now completly immortal and also the morpho knight makes kirby almost completly unstopable from the transforming into the butterfly and to the stealing part of enemys soul for health also kirby can handle this immense power he dosent strugle like presumably the knight its a spring breeze
You jnow a new kirby game was announced, well technically its a remake but still. I know you said you would end your time on TH-cam by the end of the year. But hopefully. . .
Despite the fact that it's a remake, I wouldn't be surprised if new secret bosses were thrown into the true arena there. Morpho knight would likely be welcome.
May be soul forgo was able to escape because he was already in a soul from so he had more control over his soul so when he getting out morpho knight might have willing gave him power so chaos efilis can kill Kirby instead of himself
So… hold on… Was I supposed to play Guest Star BEFORE Heroes in Another Dimension? Goddammit! You know, the biggest problem I have with the Kirby lore is its inconsistency of canonicity. Why give us an ending when you have more to show? Even third parties like Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and 5 fall within this trope. It’s not an incentive to play more, I just want to call it a day from there!
I think the faces from GK in Star Allies theory is dumb. Just because Morpho was able to shoot sinister faces our way doesn't nessecarily mean that they resemble Galacta's face.
Well I mean it makes sense doesn't it? Why would they make the spirit summons in the FL fight only Forgo Soul? Heck, Kirby can only shoot out Forgo Soul spirits, even if he drains the life force from other enemies to restore his health. That HAS to mean something in relation to the Star Allies fight. Mr. Kumazaki and the team are paying close attention to every little detail.
If you're trying to imply Morpho Knight is slow or anything, you couldn't be more wrong lol. He's definitely copied Galacta's speed, combined with his teleporting dude is fast.

You know, I always wondered... if Meta Knight wished for Nova to summon the strongest warrior, and Galacta Knight lost to Meta Knight, wouldn't that make Meta Knight the new strongest? The face Kirby makes in Soul Melter explains it all. Meta Knight just likes fighting. Assuming Kirby and Meta Knight are similar species, maybe Meta Knight's face under the mask could match the Soul Melter Kirby face. That face comes as a result of Kirby deliberately seeking the strongest battles, and if Meta Knight did the same in an attempt to become Galacta Knight, then Galacta Knight THREW THE MATCH against Meta Knight to encourage him to keep fighting. Maybe Galacta Knight USED to be a hero, but now he's just obsessed with fighting the strongest possible foes, and teleporting through space and time to find them. Permanently stuck on Soul Melter mode, constantly seeking a challenge. And the Butterfly, unsure of how to judge Galacta Knight as a hero or a threat, just fused with him instead?
cant wait for return to dreamland DX to completely retcon galacta knight and introduce a brand new morpho knight fight just cuz it can lmfao

Oh hello there Tayo! Morpho Knight's descriptions sure are a doozy.
I have a little anecdote for y'all:
> When i was a little kid, i watched a puppet show called 'Cocóricó', one of the episodes was about

way it was shot made it SUPER CREEPY

show the franchise and game for her, she likes it and even show the final cutscene from the game
> If you remember well, RTDL ends with Kirby and cia waking up from the crash, and guess who lands
gently in Kirby's belly?

TDLR: butterflies are dangerous and Cocórico warned me!
Butterflies are truly terrifying
Dear NOVA... I can only imagine what would happen if my younger self were to see such a thing prior to seeing Morpho Knight appear for the first time in Star Allies. Just the thought of seeing such a thing gives me the Jibblies!
Cocoricó is so based, loved that show

I guess you could say Morpho Knight's a result of the Butterfly Effect
That bit about Morpho's phantoms is pretty interesting, hope we get to learn more about Morpho Knight soon, it hasn't made many appearances yet, and I'd love to see what HAL does with it in the future
That's a good one

yup it took too long when he was the old meta and this is were i found that out on actually ripped straight out of an early design choice for Meta Knight conceived an astonishing 25 years ago, during the development of ‘Kirby’s Adventure’ for the Nintendo Entertainment System Morpho Knight was thought to originally be a beta design for Meta Knight, while having redesigned wings and sword Morpho Knight reuses concept art of a design that was intended to be an original character introduced in the canceled Kirby game for the GameCube Morpho Knight’s butterfly form is nearly identical to the orange butterflies that are seen in several of the newer Kirby opening and ending cutscenes Kirby Adventure is a cancelled platform game that was announced for the Nintendo GameCube at E3 2005 The levels were rendered in 3D, but the game play was still a side-scroller, much like in Kirby64 still a side-scroller, much like in Kirby i saw this when i was looking up something on bing Morpho Knight has red sparkling butterfly wings on its back show this to other youtubers i hope you did
The best part about Morpho Knight is when he went up to Galacta Knight and Fecto Forgo and said “It’s morphin’ time!” and morphed the shit out of those guys.
Exactly my guy. It truly is morphin time!

@@GamingRedBirb Morpho Knight EX is legitimately the hardest version of the Knight boss they've ever made.
@@ToxicPea yes, but then again the only games with Knight bosses ive actually played are adventure, SA and FL xD
Its morphin time
I loved the part in Morphius when Morpho Knight said it's morphin time and morphed all over everyone
@@youraverageplutoenjoyer7677 he morphed all over Soul Forgo
2:34 If we break Galacta Knight’s mask and I see an insane face I’ll go insane myself
I dont think it wants to absorb kirby it is simply attempting to judge his fate however he is never actually dead so its just like aight imma head out
There's a lot we still don't know about Morpho.
There's Kirby light novel?

Oh right I find out a few days ago the Kirby light novels exist
It was definitely NOT thought about it that early, but Kirby's first "cutscene" in the first game was of Kirby interacting with butterflies.
Technically Morpho Knight is the second ever major character to make an on screen appearance because of Kirby's Dream Land. He's been here before Meta Knight, before Dedede, before even Whispy Woods. He has seen everything.
@@pondscum9363 sadly no, spring breeze shows that there were yelow, red and green butterflies, but no orange

Man, I’m gonna miss these vids once the year ends. Though, I do hope Meteorz the best raising his child in the future. :)
0:50 There are actually multiple orange butterflies in the ending of Planet Robobot
This just reminded me of how we're 3 and a half months from the end of the channel. Guess this channel's soul will be judged soon.
Lesson of the day: be careful around orange butterflies.
But thanks for the video Meteorz and I hope all of you have a good day
I like to think that Morpho is collecting the four elements associated with Void. It started with Galacta, the Heart, and then Forgo, the Dreams.
Th...they can be multiple of him
Some theorize that it's kinda like a hive mind deal. There is only _one_ Morpho Knight, but it can split apart into tons and tons of Morpho Butterflies. They are one, they are many.
@@youraverageplutoenjoyer7677...i have never been so scared of butterflies.
I love it! I've also never thought about the phantoms in Star Allies like that. Very interesting 🤔
You know I always thought that the butterfly took over galacta knights body. Like he was being possessed
It was more of a fusion
So Morpho just says.
I'M ALWAYS CANON!! 🤣
Very interesting how morpho knight made an appearance in forgotten land. I can't wait to see what extra stuff (if they do any) for rtdld.
SpongeBob tried to warn us about the dangers of Butterflies.....
You said it. Plus, it’s the reason I wouldn’t dare to touch a butterfly. Beauty on the wings, ugly on the body.
If Morpho Knight shows up in RTDL Deluxe, it's gonna really break continuity.
My kinda pet theory for Morpho Knight is that he's a psychopomp (a being that guides souls to the afterlife, a la the Grim Reaper) who specifically guides warriors' souls through giving them one last incredible battle
1:29 in the words of the RPGmonger, if that’s the case, there may be 2 Galacta Knights now… but that’s a headache for a another time
1:16
I don't think "sympathised" here means what you think it does.
2:26 this clip is a bit confusing, because in it morpho uses an attack he also had in star allies (except there it "unfriends" your allies, somehow).
Oh-ho! I've been waiting for this one! Morpho Knight is such an interesting character and I'm amazed they brought him back in Forgotten Land! Also his Forgotten Land theme is a banger as well!
It has RETURNED!!!!!!!!!!!! It feels so good to see a new episode of this series
I think if meteorz did a kirby game tier list it would be very cool.
A new What is Kirby Canon video? It's been 10,000 years.
yo its the morbius knight video lets go
So... Morpho Knight is the Kirby equivalent of the grim reaper?
I still feel the one missing Jamba Heart Hyness replaced himself and the Mage Sisters with plays a role in Morpho Knight somehow, as we haven’t seen them successfully absorb any other characters until Star Allies, when the Jamba Hearts where scattered across Pop Star
My theory is that Morpho was once an incredibly powerful and dangerous warrior that had to be sealed away in the form of a butterfly by the ancients, with the power of the Dark Jamba Heart granting them the power of judgement and absorption to rise once more on their quest of destruction and vengeance
I think in the Kirby universe in order to kill something truly you need to extinguish there soul otherwise they will revive reanimate or whatever. Morpho Knight may just be one of those characters who can truly end someone's exists for good
*"It's so sad that Galacta Knight died of Ligma..."*
*"... I'm sorry, what???"*

I think it was the intro scene to Star Allies where you see a bunch of those orange butterflies together?
I will never trust another butterfly again.
Damn, bro. I never be lacking when Morpho Knight is included.

@@Meteorz also the fact that he has changed moves right after elfilis succ. Fun fact btw meteorz.
This begs the question: is Morpho Knight a being who simply keeps the natural order, or is he simply a soul-hungry grim reaper of sorts?
I mean at one point I had a theory that went a little like "What if Morpho Knight sees Kirby as a threat to the natural order considering his immense power?" and it's gonna be interesting to see what Morpho's true intentions are.

The fact that Soul Forgo was able to steal Morpho Knight's power AFTER seemingly being consumed himself is a true testament to the alien's incredible psychic power. Sure, Kirby had to wear down the god of death/judgement first, but it's still something.
Gonna repost it here for those who didn't see it last time :
So, here we go.
It’s also called star dream and it grants wishes, like if someone wanted for emotions to just go away…
Star Allies.
Someone that cleans the mess but doesn’t really replace it…
And finally, Forgotten Land.
Thanks for making me love Kirby even more 😊
And I’d love to see what you think about the artists
An interesting meta theory, although a lot of this seems to be held up on loose strings that aren't really supported by any textual or anecdotal evidence. Still, I think it's a nice nugget to chew on!
@@ToxicPea Oh hello there!
Maybe Kirby is the person and he dreams about being something entirely different from a human or any species on Earth to distance himself more?
@@pluto42626 Wait what…? Omg this is getting deep
As someone who first encountered him in Kirby and the Forgotten Land, I hope he comes back as like a canon counterpart for Galacta Knight in the post game
Hi meteorz I love this and I hope you have a good day and you are awesome
Damn im lacking in forgotten land knowledge
This reminds of the concept of a phoenix.
Next one is the last canon…
One thing I don't understand is why Morpho knight attacks Kirby in the forgotten land. Wouldn't it make sense for him to absorb soul forgo and leave?
Personally, I think that the butterfly decided to fuse with galacta knight mid judgment, freeing him from his shackles of constantly being summoned and forced to fight, allowing galacta knight to fight on his own accord.
The eyes are horns and the mouth is the mask
But what if it _did_ happen and Marx really did become Marx Soul, only for Morpho Knight to show up and cut it short before he could actually do anything?
tl;dr Soul bosses aren't canon because Morpho prevents them from happening.
what about drawcia soul, we see kirby beat the stuffing out of it in the main story
@@dinosaurusfeta That's because she turned into her Soul form right away. There wasn't time for Morpho to come take her before the fight could happen.
Finally this guy is canon
Just to get done dirty…
Sad to see Galacta Knight get taken over, but I am curious to see how Morpho knight gets more lore with more appearances.
I think morpho knight is a future Kirby
The butterfly of judgment
Because no one expects the butterfly...
Let's see if the Morpho Butterfly fuses with Void Termina or Drawcia or ZERO TWO!!! Say we're gonna have Morpho Knight but as a Giant!
2:02 True
Hm, how very fascinating.
May be soul forgo was able to escape because he was already in a soul from so he had more control over his soul so when he getting out morpho knight might have willing gave him power so chaos efilis can kill Kirby instead of himself
So… hold on…
Was I supposed to play Guest Star BEFORE Heroes in Another Dimension?
Scary Butterfly
He is now yippe!
Is there a connection between Morpho knight and magical girl coiffure?
you may think morhpo knight was not planed at the 90,s on but no he was and it took 25 years to get in a game look at this actually ripped straight out of an early design choice for Meta Knight conceived an astonishing 25 years ago, during the development of ‘Kirby’s Adventure’ for the Nintendo Entertainment System Morpho Knight was thought to originally be a beta design for Meta Knight, while having redesigned wings and sword Morpho Knight reuses concept art of a design that was intended to be an original character introduced in the canceled Kirby game for the GameCube Morpho Knight’s butterfly form is nearly identical to the orange butterflies that are seen in several of the newer Kirby opening and ending cutscenes Kirby Adventure is a cancelled platform game that was announced for the Nintendo GameCube at E3 2005 The levels were rendered in 3D, but the game play was still a side-scroller, much like in Kirby64 still a side-scroller, much like in Kirby i saw this when i was looking up something on bing Morpho Knight has red sparkling butterfly wings on its back show this to other youtubers i hope you did
Suggestion for a video: Fecto Elfillis, Forgo, and Elfillin
That ep will Happen soon just have to wait after one more Metroid Canon Ep and then We get it

his one goal of becoming canon was never fulfilled...

LIGMA BALLZ
Will you do canon or cannot ?
Morpho knights appearance in forgotten land is canon, so galactic knight is by extension
Whoa, a non-canon character being canon… sounds like fun.
BUT that butterfly was also fused into Chaos Elfilis, so wouldn’t that mean Morpho Knight is dead?
No it's the Power from Morpho Knight Let Forgo Return back to His Fecto Elfilis State as Chaos Elfilis after the Morpho Knight Knight in Forgotten land was defeated Elfilis didn't completely fuse with Morpho Knight more like it kinda broke afterwards next time we see Morpho Knight we find out if he did keep some of Forgo powers ect!
didn't I watch this video yesterday?
And the Butterfly, unsure of how to judge Galacta Knight as a hero or a threat, just fused with him instead?
ah no que pro con subtitulos y todo ahora c:
