My opinon on why Morpho tries to kill kirby in the Forgotten land is because Kirby is protecting Elfilin, who is a piece of Forgo's soul/essence. Morpho knight needed to absorb all of Forgo to fully purge it from this existence, and it knew that kirby wouldn't let that happen to his friend. This is also probably why Forgo was able to escape and reform into Chaos Elfilis, as the butterfly hadn't yet fully consumed it.
@@KizNoir If that isn't Canon then Galactia Knight should still be Galactia Knight and not Morpho Knight. We know Galactia Knight is still Morpho Knight because of we fight Morpho Knight in Forgotten Land
I like to think Morpho Knight is just a force of nature neither good or bad which makes sense due to it being a god of judgment, it doesn't need to be good or bad to do its job
I agree. I think the butterfly is a neutral character that represents Death in the Kirby series and it possessed Galacta Knight and Efillis because their lifespan was ending but they were refusing to accept the fact that they were to die and so the butterfly decided to change into Morpho Knight as a way to train Kirby and also have a way to ensure the ones it has possessed can move on in a way that they could feel satisfied with. Galacta Knight was a warrior that was placed in suspended animation for millennia until Meta Knight asked Nova to fight the strongest warrior in the universe and this was originally when Galacta Knight was supposed to die and move on to the afterlife but he managed to escape before the butterfly could arrive. Same thing happen in Return to Dreamland and Planet Robobot. Star Allies is when the butterfly finally locates the great warrior. As for Efillis, I am thinking that it was supposed to die ages ago after Elfilin had split from it and escaped but it refused to give into its fate and put itself in suspended animation. Leon discovers Elfilis and doesn’t realize the threat it poses and so it uses its power to brainwash Leon and made him its puppet. The butterfly senses that Efillis is dying and it is pretty obvious that this is the case as it seems to be melting and falling apart as Kirby battles it even though it absorbed Elfilin who made it whole again. The butterfly recognized Elfilin as a separate being now and that it isn’t his time to go quite yet and that he has an important mission to become a protector of the Forgotten Land which is why he didn’t die after he closed the dimensional rift that was pulling Dreamland to crash into the Forgotten Land.
Here's my take, on the case of galacta knight, you forgot to mention something, when it was absorbing galacta knight it had heart effects, meaning that galacta bonded with Morpho during the process, which is the opposite of forgo, forgo had nothing of that kind of effect, it was simply absorbed. I also think Morpho knight is a hero, and may even be (as silly as that may sound) Kirby's guardian angel, training him for something that will soon manifest, something so dangerous it finally needs to make it's presence known. Maybe whatever threat is coming, Morpho thinks it's so unbelievably dangerous that they need to train Kirby personally, maybe whatever is out there either rivals Kirby or even surpasses him at the moment, I will go out in a whim here and assume that the being lurking in the dark is Kirby's first ever nemesis, the dark matter tribe, and that there is now a Zero 3.
I wonder if the heart represents Galacta Knight passing Morpho’s judgement. Maybe Galacta Knight isn’t incorporated into Morpho’s attacks like Forgo is because he was allowed to pass on to whatever afterlife Morpho came from.
Honestly I just think they were hearts in star allies just because of the friend heart main mechanic. Forgotten land doesn't have that, so they're circles instead
I think another way of looking at Morpho Knight could be that it is a representation of the devs stamping out certain gimmicks that they'd relied on a lot over the course of the games to make way for something new, first it was removing the Galacta Knight boss fight, now it's the Boss Soul fight
Yeah so that's means eventually Morpho knight will probably end up absorbing whatever Nightmarish monster ends up being the final boss and will really be the final boss.
The only problem with that imo is that chaos elfillis' second form is practically just a soul fight both in terms of look, context and fight mechanics even if its not explicitly called that. Still I do think it would explain a lot about Morpho's enigmatic nature
@@kag2576 Yeah but I guess it might just be considered a second form then since it is still called Chaos Elfilis or it might really be a soul form with Morpho knight just replacing it 1 time kinda like how Galaxtic knight was only replaced in Star allies and reappeared again in Super Kirby Clash like 4 times.
that explanation wouldn't really work because: A) they didn't really get rid of galacta knight since he still appeared as Aeon Hero + getting rid of galacta knight to replace him with another Knight would miss the point B) Chaos Elfilis is pretty much a Soul Boss fight in all but name.
Even then, this isn’t really a useful lens to look at it with? Like, sure it’s feasible, but I don’t really see the point in saying that it was “the devs way of stamping out certain gimmicks”
I feel like morpho knight doesn’t actually judge power, but instead a being’s will or resolve. Even with Kirby wanting to save Leon, which he probably cares a lot about, Efilis has been trapped in a test tube separated from its other half for centuries after being abandoned by the people who put him there, listening to the “and here we are” lady for years on end. It’s plan to take back elfilin by bringing the denizens of dreamland is foiled by Kirby and after throwing everything it has at him elfilis still ends up losing, so due to its efforts made to try to stop Kirby, morpho knight gives it a chance to beat him. Kirby might be physically stronger than pretty much everything else, but Elfilis has sacrificed more to get to this point.
I think, it being a "dream eate,r" morpho could find souls with extreme desires or dreams and consumes them, attracted to these souls like a literal moth to a flame
9:28 when you talk about how galacta knight may still be alive despite morpho knight absorbing him, I instantly thought of Aeon Hero from Team Kirby Clash. Maybe Morpho knight rebirthed Galacta knight there, as we see Galacta knight does get new attacks and even 2 new forms (Light and Dark).
Same here It's honestly more scary how tiny information we know about these two Aside from names, titles( the temporal warrior Galacta knight, and the judgement fluttery fiend morpho knight) attacks and forms And also Galacta being a planet buster
Well if you where to consider the fact Dreamland has probably been protected from something before Kirby it could stand to be that the butterfly acts as a great filter. When two beings of great power clash the butterfly will take the soul of one of the sides and then kill anything around it leaving no trace behind before itself fading away fulfilling it's judgement. This is probably why the inhabitants of Dreamland are generally peaceful as many great warriors would of been forgotten or lost after a battle when Morpho intervenes with no one knowing why.
I think the morpho butterfly as a 'creature of judgement' could go both ways, good and bad. What if it had some way to bless, as well as curse. Maybe when it appears near kirby, it's somehow influencing his path in a positive way, and absorbs beings it deems unworthy. This specific theory has many, many holes but my point is to consider that the butterfly could be capable of more than just punishment, and that it's judgement also could reward those that take heroic action. Or something, I'm really not that confident in this
The part of the Star Allies description for Morpho Knight that says, "a pure being twisted by a dark past" was originally "a being buried in the darkness of history" in the Japanese version of it.
I think maybe there is an entire Morpho counsel in which he is secretly trying to train Kirby to end up being. It’s be cool if the other counsel members look like existing characters like Magalor and Susie and there’s a whole game based around that. Kirby and the Morpho Counsel.
When it comes to in between the hero and villain sides, I personally think the hero theroy holds more water. It would make sense for the butterfly to step in to help protect and train Kirby for greater threats to come in the future. Much like how it tried to protect Kirby from forgo soul but due to forgo being more neutral couldn't completely take forgo out. This could likely explain in your previous theroy that Galacta Knight after likely being once a hero became obsessed with power and soon turned into a villain. Because of Galacta Knight always coming back the butterfly stepped in seeing Galacta Knight was evil and took him out for good. That's what I see for the theroy of the hero part. It makes most sense to me in that scenario.
You could be right about the hero route. We do get a Blue Print for his Sword ability just like we do when defeating Meta Knight and even Dedede after the main story. Though there is something I want to mention is that maybe he knows of Kirby's "Origin" and is keeping tags on him incase if he does something bad. Who knows.
This is what I was thinking too!!! I'm thinking that Morpho knows exactly who Kirby is, and what he's done. Combined with my theory that Kirby is aftermath Galacta, and the thought that Morpho caused the caterpillar fear, I'm convinced that Morpho has been trying to eliminate Kirby, without realizing that he wasn't evil anymore.
I know that going to the forgotten land is traveling to another dimension but I think one day they will make a kirby game based on kirby travel through dimensions, alternate realities and time as a big why to drop lore and get fan service.
The butterfly: 8 strikes your out Glacti knight: oh man the butterfly: you can't slam a planet into a different one Soul forgo: oh I'm not allowed but the doom slayer is allowed to shot a hole to the center of Mars The butterfly: that's different he needs to go to another planet but you can't do that it will breaks the law of gravity and besides it also does ecological damage Soul forgo: what about magalor he was about turn popstar into a black hole The butterfly: um well that was the crown not him and also you can't just shatters someone's soul across a dimension ( theroy: I think morpho knight was Kirby's old ally back in the nightmare wars but had to sacrifice his energy to seal nightmare away so he consumes the beings to return and the darkness magic of nightmare tainted him so every return he must kill Kirby )
Honestly I don’t know if he’s either. He might not even be worried about what Kirby and Co are doing, he just happens to run into them while searching for more power
You know I always thought that the butterfly took over galacta knights body. Like he was being possessed. 9:28 I thought that was galacta knight escaping the butterflies possession
I think that morpho knight is a true neutral character, he consume people that break a certain rule, in this case it's the fact that galacta knight and forgo came back to life multiple time. He's trying to kill Kirby because he broke the same rule. When you die in a Kirby game you don't die, but Kirby is too powerful so the butterfly can't absorb him. So that's why he keeps fighting kirby.
I actually wonder how it could've been in the Forgotten Land when Morpho Knight absorb Forgo's soul and in the fight when you damage Morpho Knight enough then Morpho Knight's eyes glows purple where it shows Forgo is still alive in there and takes over Morpho Knight body and use it to try to kill Kirby showing how dangerous Forgo can be. I mean okay i know it wouldn't happen since Morpho Knight would be to powerful for that and Meta Knight did resist his control before but i thought on how it would've been cool if that would've went down if that were to happen.
Well considering that morpho knight thanos'd Galacta knight ,the literal * strongest warrior in the galaxy* with relative ease i would say that would be unlikely But still a good concept nonetheless
I like to think Galacta really just wanted to finally rest for all eternity, he had served his purpose and Morpho Knight was a way that allowed him to rest, with one final fight
I think Morpho Knight is an ally who is preparing Kirby My arguments: I think Morpho Knight is preparing Kirby to face off against Galacta Knight, which would make sense with the idea that Galacta Knight has been the most powerful warrior in all of Kirby's history, and that he has been able to defeat entities like Nova or Star Dream with a single blow, or even locked up Void for thousands of years. That's probably why Morpho Knight would have come into contact with Galacta Knight, because Morpho knew that Kirby wasn't ready and preferred to temporarily control him, to test Kirby and protect him at the same time, since knowing all the history that Kirby has of defeating enemies (Dark Matter, 0, 0²,Nightmare, Dark Mind, etc.), he could be his only hope to defeat Galacta, so he could not abandon him in a duel to the death against Eon Warrior, since that would mean the risk of losing his only hope of defeating him. This would make even more sense considering that Morpho Knight needed to take power from Forgo in Kirby and the Forgotten Land, to take his true knight form, which would give us to understand that Morpho Knight was not strong enough to continue maintaining his control over Galacta Knight, since if that were the case, Morpho Knight would continue to retain his knight form without having to consume Forgo. That tells us that Galacta Knight is more powerful than Morpho Knight, which makes sense that Morpho Knight is trying to prepare Kirby to face Galacta, assuming that in the future we could see the most legendary battle in all of Kirby's history, pitting our pretty pink ball against the fallen Hero, Galacta... Or maybe I'm just a crazy person who is being controlled by a magical butterfly, eeeee... I mean...POYO (@°▽°@)
I had imagined that Morpho Knight appears similar to Galacta Knight because it chooses to continue making itself into that form, as it either had no other forms or found that it was the most powerful form yet. As for why it fights Kirby after consuming a being and taking this form, I imagined that the soul of the being it consumed was influencing it or trying to control it from within, and it does not object to what it is likely seeing as a chance to tell Kirby's strength or intentions. I am fairly certain that the games in which the butterfly has appeared are only the ones where Galacta Knight or Morpho Knight are present at some point, so the butterfly must somehow know already that these beings will violate the rules of the world.
Okay so what i notice is that for galacta knight and forgo soul it was almost instantly for the absorption but why would it be taking longer for kirby ? Protctor role doesn't feel right. But Mentor i can see that maybe he is Training kirby so he would be stronger than the ones he absorbed. So he can absorb kirby and become the stronges being alive. Or it could be that kirby needs to be stronger for a multiversal threat. Or for kirby to learn stuff from morpho knight.
Morpho Knight is just training Kirby, of course he is helping secretly to kirby, That theory of Morpho becomes friend of kirby could true because he wants kirby become more strong and the fact that Morpho gives a copy of his sword to kirby is a hero thing that maybe kirby will get his own personal Weapon just like Meta Knight, Galacta Knight and Morpho Knight is the second protector and new mentor for kirby
I think morpho knight IT'S just posesed by some sort of being and its forced to seek power to give it back to that being. Morpho knight after being cosumed by elfelis could no longer be posesed and will try to stop it but in the next game he will lose his power and kirby will have to help him in order for morpho knight to get his powers back and stop that being from doing something bad
God, wouldn’t it be so hype if Morpho keeps absorbing secret boss after secret boss, and then one game he’s the main villain, with all the “regular” bosses being all the secret bosses he’s absorbed? Imagine, Kirby’s just chasing after him, and suddenly he enters a room, only to see a butterfly flying away from Galacta knight…
There are apparently 4 galacta knights in Kirby lore because four hero’s killed void termina. Currently we know of temporal warrior and the aeon hero. What if morpho is the third knight the judgment warrior if you will. My ultimate theory Morpho knight was growing way to powerful and got greedy with his power and probably killed one of the other knights to take his soul. With help from the ancients temporal was sealed away in a void outside space time and aeon hero fled to an alternate dimension. Evidence- temporal can clearly break his own seal he just needed the ancients to send him into a void outside space time. He fights meta knight because he looks like the other knights and he fears it could be morpho knight since it’s been centuries. Same logic for Kirby Yeah this is kinda crude but it’s something to think on
aeon hero and galacta knight are implied to be the same character doe , aeon knight is galacta at his 'prime', tho i could be wrong about the prime part , they're def the same entitiy
The figurine of morpho knight also talks about it casting judgement on final battles. Its title card also says its a dream eater. I think its purpose is for it to descend on decisive battles against incredibly powerful beings.
Fun fact:on some Kirby game,we see multiple butterfly, that can mean two things 1)Morpho is hiding in an innoncent specie 2)Each butterfly is a fraction of the original beeing power If my second theory is true, then Morpho will be the strongest beeing Kirby has ever faced
The one thing that's always thrown me off about morpho knight is the friendship heart u see when it absorbs galacta knight (u also see some it when it dies). I remember first seeing that and thinking the two were once one being who split into two but the info we have on morpho seems to suggest otherwise. It could just be a cool effect they added for star allies but it feels too deliberately place imo.
both Galacta knight and Forgo look very relaxed just before Morpho dissolves them, maybe Morpho sought them out to grant these ancient souls a peaceful end they didn't know they wanted.
I think morpho knight is sort of like, a trial of the gods type being. He comes down to fight for a creature that can't or won't fight for itself, And that's what "Judgement" refers to
My theory is that morpho knight takes those who desire the release of death and people who have done unforgivable thinks, and sends them to the afterlife, and is the kirby version of the grim reaper. The reason why morpho knight fights Kirby is because there is something terrible that will happen far in the future, and he knows Kirby won’t be strong enough to stop this terrible event from destroying the universe, and will train kirby until he is ready.
According to the wiki Morpho Knight appearance and Kirby in the Forgotten land is in confirm to be Cannon and if I could use the first character to become canon in the next game after appearing and non-canon spin-off in a previous Main Line Game and so Morpho Knight is technically officially Canon as of Kirby and the Forgotten land
I see Morpho knight as a representation of themis( the Greek goddess/ titan of justice) he doesn't care if you're good or evil, his one purpose is this, judgment...whether it's for crimes...or to see if kirby has gotten stronger, maybe he's testing kirby to see if he's a threat or if he can handle himself
I don't actually have much basis for this but my personal headcannon is that morpho knight ended up befriending kirby in the butterfly form and now it just helps kirby out every here and there by containing creatures of immense power that were about to try and kill him Leaving the battles as just morpho knight not wanting to rob kirby of a good battle so he delivers it himself
here's my theory, i believe that the past two games have been setting morpho knight up to be a new major antagonist, absorbing powerful creatures, to enhance it's own strength to take out kirby, maybe because they have a similar power, kirby absorbs creatures to gain their abilities, Morpho knight does the same on a bigger scale and attacks kirby seeing them as a potential threat.
Nin10foland I came across a guy that does piano tutorials including Kirby and the forgotten land and his latest video(at least from when this comment was sent) that the mortho knight music in star allies is called butterfly of judgement
I like to think that Morpho Knight being a creature of judgement is telling of what it’s actually doing. It comes down upon Soul Forgo, and after being defeated, it comes back to life with a new power, which results in it becoming Chaos Elfilis, and subsequently merging with Elfilin again. Meanwhile when it absorbs Galacta Knight, it just vanishes without a trace. It comes to Soul Forgo and judges it, seeing possible redemption in its future, but it sees no such fate for Galacta Knight, and treats them accordingly. I have no idea why it fights Kirby in Forgotten Land, or whichever Helper in Star Allies, though. Maybe it’s a more intense mirror of Meta Knight’s “show me how strong you are personally” philosophy? Also I’d like to contribute to Galacta Knight awareness week by saying what everyone else is saying, Guest Star isn’t canon, so Morpho Knight has never encountered Galacta Knight, and the first time we see it is in Forgotten Land. Galacta Knight is still out there, and he actually hasn’t even met Kirby or even Meta Knight in the story yet. But he will get his day, one day.
Hear me out, in star allies they tell you that void termina got sealed by some heroes with lances. And both galacta and elfilis fight with those. So theres probably also a connection with morpho and those heroes.
It could also be that the butterfly absorbs aspects of the people he absorbs this could be why every time he absorbs someone he tries to fight the people nearby because those people were already about to fight the player character
I like to think the the butterfly absorbs a being it gains a certain ability or more from that being like that attack involving a phantom forgo in his moveset
My theory is that Galacta Knight is from an alternate timeline (since all of the modes he has appeared in are not cannon) but he eventually uses his powers to go into the main timeline so the butterfly intervenes and takes his power, creating Morpho Knight, who is forced to fight for the Butterly! I hope one day Kirby can defeat the Butterfly once and for all and free Galacta Knight, later becoming friends
Yeah I can see that morpho knight is actually train kirby but after his defeat he know that forgo have plans to use his power to wreak havoc again so in his seconds as morpho knight he give kirby the blueprint of his own power prove that he trust kirby and know he ready for forgo/chaos elfilis next steps for revenge
personally, i think that morpho is either a hero, or maybe neutral. desciptions of him say that he judges final battle, so maybe he is trying make it more challenging for kirby so that he doesnt get lazy. alos, in one of his pause screen descriptions, it says something about him appearing judgement day, and that he will find a good world or a bad world. maybe he has judged the world bad because of the villains, and is now trying to destroy everything? this character is just mysterious as heck
It's hard to say if Morpho Knight is a hero or villain, I can't help but automatically think villain mostly due to the fact of the design of his sword (the evil blue eyeball jewels) and the dark shadow faces he can summon, first time being general (I don't remember if they're based on any other past boss moves with that face), then this time being Elfilin. But then again we have Meta Knight and he has the whole bat motif going on so he could just as easily be a hero. They're very much building up to something with him so we'll just have to wait and see how things play out.
In my opinion maybe this butterfly is good? Like you said before, he trying to train Kirby? When Morpho Knight defeated, you will get Morpho Knight Sword blueprint, and this sword too broken. Not only deal massive damage but also can heals you. Even Morpho Knight can't even regen his health using his sword. Maybe he fight Kirby because he want Kirby to use his power (Sword) to defeat ID-F86. He try to use Kirby, to send Fecto Efilis soul to Elfilin so the peace finally return. That's my thought... But there is the EX form Morpho Knight... In Kirby Star Allies.. so.. I can't tell he good... Oh yeah... Are we just ignore how powerful the Rare Stone is? This thing can create replica of Galaxia and Morpho's Sword
I find it really interesting that in star allies galacta is distracted by the morpho butterfly. In planet robobot he destroys stardream and fights Meta knight in the span of a few moments, but he focuses on morpho almost as if he knew what was about to happen
Ok I have this theory. Maybe all 3 Meta Knightmare modes, Dedede Tour, and Guest Star Run all take place in an alternate universe where Kirby never existed meaning that when the threats Kirby faced in the other universe happen in this universe someone else had to play the hero. Also to add to this theory what if The Butterfly has the power to travel freely between the universe where Kirby exists and the one where he doesn't. This would explain why we fight Morpho Knight in Forgotten Land despite first being created in Guest Star Run which many people say isn't Canon. Maybe if this theory is true then there are more universes out there that are different from the ones we see in the main mode.
This is a very interesting theory and idea! I got to say I do find it very fascinating that you have this perspective that Morpho knight might be a hero and not a villain! To be honest I’m not really sure if he is really a hero or villian since he is still a bit new to me, but I think overall to me he is a hero personally.
I’m hesitant to call the Ethereal Butterfly evil, but I don’t think it’s good either, since Chaos Elfilis' figurine description says that it essentially revived him. However, you could also say that Kirby released Forgo’s soul from it against its will after he defeated it, but then that would imply it’s not a friend of Kirby. Maybe it is “good”, but Kirby has broken some sort of universal law, so it’s trying to punish him, but can’t absorb him because his heart is pure or something, thus meaning it has to manifest into something else and manually take him down
galacta knight is a time and space traveler so it could be why the butterfly choose it but my question remains why is morpho knight attack kirby is it to test kirby's stregth or kirby breaking the rule i would love the idea that morpho knight is some sort of secret rival of mentour same as meta knight but way more powerful also all of the morpho knight absorpbed character that have travel thru space and time
A thought that comes to mind. Morpho isn't just a judge, but an omen of things to come, regardless of whether he's leaving behind embers or not in his butterfly form. As for fighting Kirby, that's part of the judgement. Not only is he training the puffball, but also using up the power of the entity he absorbed so that it cannot return after the fight is over. The only reason Elfilis came back in chaos form was because Elfilin was acting as an unforeseen anchor that kept the boss from passing away fully. What do you guys think of this hypothesis?
I think galacta knight is still there fused with the butterfly but the form of morpho kinght costs so much energy that they were'nt able to keep it after beeing beaten by kirby in the star allies and when they saw forgo's soul they absorbed him in order to get enought energy to become morpho kinght but after being beaten once more they were weakend so forgo absorbed them from inside
I have the theory that these are introductions to a bigger story where morpho knight/the butterfly is collecting previous enemies' souls to grow stronger and then become a bigger threat to popstar in a latter game, maybe even bigger than dark matter.
I think Morpho Knight could be related to Kirby and Meta Knight having similar orb characteristics, maybe Morpho Knight is the first one of the Kirby/Knight species and could be judging Kirby to be the next upcoming Knight or the next divine being of judgement
i kinda just wanna point out that typically boss themes in kirby reflect the motives of the character, and morpho knights theme definitely sounds more heroic than anything. like, for example, marx's theme is all over the place, like a waltz, and sectonias theme has this sense of beauty to it. it would surprise me if morpho knights heroic theme didn't reflect his motives.
From what we learned, kirby is indestructible and his matter cannot be broken, even if a universe collapse on him. If the butterfly is a taboo purger.. The butterfly keeps landing on him to purge him, but with failed attempts.
So idea, what if Kirby is a being who's job it is to protect the universe, and Morpho Knight is the inverse, a being who's job it is to end the universe and start over. And the reason Morpho Knight fights Kirby is to see if Kirby is strong enough to protect the universe from the eldritch evils it's constantly threatened by. If Kirby falls, Morpho Knight deems the Universe too weak to continue fighting the eldritch evils and brings his judgement, resetting everything in hopes the next universe is stronger than the last.
Maybe the morpho knight is trying to save Kirby by taking control of his enemy’s but gets controlled by the evil inside of them maybe that’s why he attacks him
I would like to mention that Chaos Elfilis does not hold Morpho Knight's power. The gotcha figure description and it's title (Born of Chaos) suggest that it is actually using the Zero/Void's power.
I have a theory that morpho knight is actually one of meta knights relatives (because meta knight is trying to train Kirby and so I think morpho knight is trying to do the same thing but he is trying to make it a little harder by taking the power of these different entities.)
My idea is Morpho compares an enlonged soul and it's opposition, and judges the enlonged soul's power if it is worth being left in the regular world or to the Kirby AfterLife. which could explain why Morpho is always near kirby... because... well... lets be honest kirby is blood coated.
I personally prefer the idea of Morpho Knight being evil. I just feel he fits the villain role better than the hero role. Also if Morpho Knight really is good then why would he fight the friends at the end of guest star run?
Well for a short answer: the mode isn’t canon, and I don’t think it would make sense to program two fights for specific characters (or any if morpho has no reason) Long answer: idk mate maybe the butterfly just doesn’t have enough room in its tiny body to reason while he fights
What if in one game this happened: Kirby reaches the final form of the antagonist, and the orange butterfly flies down to absorb its power. But then the antagonist smacks it away. I think that would be crazy.
But why do it in Star allays? Or is that just not canon?
PS: Butterfly Jesus.
@@D2RtS Yeah, Morpho Knight in star allies isn't canon to the main story

@@KizNoir If that isn't Canon then Galactia Knight should still be Galactia Knight and not Morpho Knight. We know Galactia Knight is still Morpho Knight because of we fight Morpho Knight in Forgotten Land

@@kenthuang436 This describe everything i think about Morpho

Same
Exactly.
@@kag2576 Yeah but I guess it might just be considered a second form then since it is still called Chaos Elfilis or it might really be a soul form with Morpho knight just replacing it 1 time kinda like how Galaxtic knight was only replaced in Star allies and reappeared again in Super Kirby Clash like 4 times.
that explanation wouldn't really work because:
A) they didn't really get rid of galacta knight since he still appeared as Aeon Hero + getting rid of galacta knight to replace him with another Knight would miss the point
B) Chaos Elfilis is pretty much a Soul Boss fight in all but name.
Same here
It's honestly more scary how tiny information we know about these two
Aside from names, titles( the temporal warrior Galacta knight, and the judgement fluttery fiend morpho knight) attacks and forms
And also Galacta being a planet buster
None are canon.
Paul Rance They’re canon, but their battles aren’t with the exception of KATFL Morpho Knight
Or something, I'm really not that confident in this
Well
You should be a bit more confident in this
Because it seems as tho we got a good point here
The part of the Star Allies description for Morpho Knight that says, "a pure being twisted by a dark past" was originally "a being buried in the darkness of history" in the Japanese version of it.
Who knows.
And that's the scary thing
We do not know nor understand why morpho is doing what he does
This is what I was thinking too!!!
I mean, return to dream land, star allies and forgotten land all did this.
@@charismaentertainer1657 yeah but it was limited we could see much more
Neutral, I think he's testing Kirby.
The butterfly: 8 strikes your out
Glacti knight: oh man
the butterfly: you can't slam a planet into a different one
Soul forgo: oh I'm not allowed but the doom slayer is allowed to shot a hole to the center of Mars
The butterfly: that's different he needs to go to another planet but you can't do that it will breaks the law of gravity and besides it also does ecological damage
Soul forgo: what about magalor he was about turn popstar into a black hole
The butterfly: um well that was the crown not him and also you can't just shatters someone's soul across a dimension
( theroy: I think morpho knight was Kirby's old ally back in the nightmare wars but had to sacrifice his energy to seal nightmare away so he consumes the beings to return and the darkness magic of nightmare tainted him so every return he must kill Kirby )
I thought that too
Personally, I think that morpho knight consumes the power from the people he absorbs, one of his attacks in forgotten land has forgo.
Well considering that morpho knight thanos'd Galacta knight ,the literal * strongest warrior in the galaxy* with relative ease i would say that would be unlikely
But still a good concept nonetheless
Morpho Knight's heroism sounds more likely, what if he's one of the Four Heroes of Yore to seal Void Termina?
Good point
Morpho knight is less likely as there is no proof compared to galacta knight
@@charismaentertainer1657 Not yet anyway.
That wouldn’t make sense tbh. Like, why kill your comrade in exchange for more power? Doesn’t really seem like a ‘Hero’ thing to do
@@samuel-park I disagree for Landia & especially Hyness! He tried to free Void Termina, not keep him sealed.
I like to think Galacta really just wanted to finally rest for all eternity, he had served his purpose and Morpho Knight was a way that allowed him to rest, with one final fight
I think Morpho Knight is an ally who is preparing Kirby
My arguments:
I think Morpho Knight is preparing Kirby to face off against Galacta Knight, which would make sense with the idea that Galacta Knight has been the most powerful warrior in all of Kirby's history, and that he has been able to defeat entities like Nova or Star Dream with a single blow, or even locked up Void for thousands of years.
I mean...POYO
(@°▽°@)
I think Morpho Knight fights in order to expend the evil of whoever he absorbs, puryfing them, and Kirby is the perfect opponent to help him.
@@TheRealSuperKirby i think that fact Morpho is neutral but if something happens he will judge the rulebreaker aka the soul bosses
@@TheRealSuperKirby idk
I think Morpho Knight is just an incarnate being of the Kirby series, a god that is just natural and does things to sustain natural order.
There are apparently 4 galacta knights in Kirby lore because four hero’s killed void termina. Currently we know of temporal warrior and the aeon hero. What if morpho is the third knight the judgment warrior if you will.
My ultimate theory
Morpho knight was growing way to powerful and got greedy with his power and probably killed one of the other knights to take his soul. With help from the ancients temporal was sealed away in a void outside space time and aeon hero fled to an alternate dimension.
Evidence-
temporal can clearly break his own seal he just needed the ancients to send him into a void outside space time.
He fights meta knight because he looks like the other knights and he fears it could be morpho knight since it’s been centuries. Same logic for Kirby
Yeah this is kinda crude but it’s something to think on
aeon hero and galacta knight are implied to be the same character doe , aeon knight is galacta at his 'prime', tho i could be wrong about the prime part , they're def the same entitiy
I’ve been asking this question forever
Yup
Me too
The figurine of morpho knight also talks about it casting judgement on final battles. Its title card also says its a dream eater. I think its purpose is for it to descend on decisive battles against incredibly powerful beings.
Fun fact:on some Kirby game,we see multiple butterfly, that can mean two things
1)Morpho is hiding in an innoncent specie
2)Each butterfly is a fraction of the original beeing power
If my second theory is true, then Morpho will be the strongest beeing Kirby has ever faced
AHHH FINALLY I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS VIDEO!!
The past appearances of Galacta Knight were canon, they were just different timelines.
Meaning there might be a Kirby multiverse.
There is a Kirby multiverse
Yeah no, only one canon main time line Galacta knight encounter has been in Kirby clash which indeed takes place in another universe
But then chaos elfilis returns from morpho knight after they get defeated
Idk bout that
I think morpho knight is sort of like, a trial of the gods type being.
He comes down to fight for a creature that can't or won't fight for itself,
And that's what "Judgement" refers to
My theory is that morpho knight takes those who desire the release of death and people who have done unforgivable thinks, and sends them to the afterlife, and is the kirby version of the grim reaper. The reason why morpho knight fights Kirby is because there is something terrible that will happen far in the future, and he knows Kirby won’t be strong enough to stop this terrible event from destroying the universe, and will train kirby until he is ready.
I like the neutral aspect where it’s just judgement and maybe training kirby.
Next Smash Bros. game better have a Morpho Knight skin for Meta Knight.
I don't actually have much basis for this but my personal headcannon is that morpho knight ended up befriending kirby in the butterfly form and now it just helps kirby out every here and there by containing creatures of immense power that were about to try and kill him
Leaving the battles as just morpho knight not wanting to rob kirby of a good battle so he delivers it himself
here's my theory, i believe that the past two games have been setting morpho knight up to be a new major antagonist, absorbing powerful creatures, to enhance it's own strength to take out kirby, maybe because they have a similar power, kirby absorbs creatures to gain their abilities, Morpho knight does the same on a bigger scale and attacks kirby seeing them as a potential threat.
It would be crazy if he keeps on absorbing bosses, until eventually he’s the main antagonist, and all the “regular” bosses are ones that he’s absorbed
Nin10foland I came across a guy that does piano tutorials including Kirby and the forgotten land and his latest video(at least from when this comment was sent) that the mortho knight music in star allies is called butterfly of judgement
The orange butterfly I'm guessing started during Kirby's return to Dreamland
Yes, it started there from when I would watch the cutscenes, I think the butterfly appeared in the last cutscene if I'm remembering correctly.
It seems as meta knight changes from foe to friend, the series needs an overpowered swordman to make some amazing music for.
Hear me out, in star allies they tell you that void termina got sealed by some heroes with lances. And both galacta and elfilis fight with those. So theres probably also a connection with morpho and those heroes.
It's hinted in Super Kirby Clash that Galacta Knight is one of the Heroes as his Dark form rains the same Heart Spears used to seal Void
If elfilis is one of the heroes, the forgotten land cannot be the ancients home world so I find it unlikely
It could also be that the butterfly absorbs aspects of the people he absorbs this could be why every time he absorbs someone he tries to fight the people nearby because those people were already about to fight the player character
I think it is based off of who he consumes
I like to think the the butterfly absorbs a being it gains a certain ability or more from that being like that attack involving a phantom forgo in his moveset
*Meta* Knight
*Morpho* Knight
*Metamorphosis*
what would happen if Morpho Knight absorbed Meta knight?
I Just Think He Is Just Trying To Train Kirby
for me morpho knight is neutral like a judge, he must be neutral in all the decisions he takes.
I think that the reason for morpho knight attacking kirby is because it might have mistakeing kirby for a monster that looks like kirby.
I thought Morpho knight was the hardest version of meta knight
My theory is that Galacta Knight is from an alternate timeline (since all of the modes he has appeared in are not cannon) but he eventually uses his powers to go into the main timeline so the butterfly intervenes and takes his power, creating Morpho Knight, who is forced to fight for the Butterly! I hope one day Kirby can defeat the Butterfly once and for all and free Galacta Knight, later becoming friends
7:18
I find this theory plausible, given on how every Morpho Knight battle is easy
It could be that after the butterfly absorbs something it has to use up the power it gains for some reason.
It’s pretty sad to think that galacta knight is dead so I hope he returns some day stronger
Classic Morpho knight
Maybe it is “good”, but Kirby has broken some sort of universal law, so it’s trying to punish him, but can’t absorb him because his heart is pure or something, thus meaning it has to manifest into something else and manually take him down
galacta knight is a time and space traveler so it could be why the butterfly choose it but my question remains why is morpho knight attack kirby is it to test kirby's stregth or kirby breaking the rule
i would love the idea that morpho knight is some sort of secret rival of mentour same as meta knight but way more powerful
also all of the morpho knight absorpbed
character that have travel thru space and time
A thought that comes to mind.
Wait we havent seen galacta knight in a while is... Is he like,GONE gone
Morpho: return to the series
That being said, is Dark Matter dead? Cuz it seems like it is, and now Morpho Knight is gonna be Kirby's new main threat.
A unique convergence of elements.
6:22 One thing’s for sure, Galacta Knight is dead.
From what we learned, kirby is indestructible and his matter cannot be broken, even if a universe collapse on him. If the butterfly is a taboo purger.. The butterfly keeps landing on him to purge him, but with failed attempts.
I hope mrpho knight is good and i would love a game about morpho knight and galacta knight
I can’t believe Morpho Knight is canon faster than Galacta Knight
So idea, what if Kirby is a being who's job it is to protect the universe, and Morpho Knight is the inverse, a being who's job it is to end the universe and start over. And the reason Morpho Knight fights Kirby is to see if Kirby is strong enough to protect the universe from the eldritch evils it's constantly threatened by. If Kirby falls, Morpho Knight deems the Universe too weak to continue fighting the eldritch evils and brings his judgement, resetting everything in hopes the next universe is stronger than the last.
Kirby species is the same as Metal night and galactaknight. Maybe this is the same too. An adult form Kirby. Both absorb powers too.
Morpho knight might be an anti hero, like wario or moon knight
My opinion is that morfoeninght has the soul of glatanight is in the butterfly that is why he attacks you.
Makes no sense but ok
I can feel like we all agree when I say we want more Kirby theories. And Nintendo ones my man.
Thank you for your consideration.
I have a theory that morpho knight is actually one of meta knights relatives (because meta knight is trying to train Kirby and so I think morpho knight is trying to do the same thing but he is trying to make it a little harder by taking the power of these different entities.)
My opinion about morpho knight is that he is trying to train kirby for something
My idea is Morpho compares an enlonged soul and it's opposition, and judges the enlonged soul's power if it is worth being left in the regular world or to the Kirby AfterLife. which could explain why Morpho is always near kirby... because... well... lets be honest kirby is blood coated.
after defeating him we can use his sword. Maybe the battle against morpho knight is a tutorial on how to use it
I personally prefer the idea of Morpho Knight being evil. I just feel he fits the villain role better than the hero role.
Also if Morpho Knight really is good then why would he fight the friends at the end of guest star run?
Well for a short answer: the mode isn’t canon, and I don’t think it would make sense to program two fights for specific characters (or any if morpho has no reason)
Long answer: idk mate maybe the butterfly just doesn’t have enough room in its tiny body to reason while he fights
What if in one game this happened:
Kirby reaches the final form of the antagonist, and the orange butterfly flies down to absorb its power. But then the antagonist smacks it away. I think that would be crazy.
I think he is on to something maybe morpho knight is training kirby to face a threat he himself couldn't handle
