Morpho Knight being a unused design for Meta Knight is so hype. Love when they do that. It’s a new design for new fans, it’s a pop off for old fans. Now that galacta knight IS an actual costume in smash ultimate [not just colours the same scar as well] the idea of getting at least trophies of recent kirby characters isnt too much of an impossibility.

After all he has the same essence as the star warrior he touched so many times... Could galactica knight be kirby from the future...
This Guy well, to be fair, that's just how Galacta Knight's eyes look through his mask. You can't prove he actually has pink eyes, and not blue eyes. I mean, Meta Knight has white eyes, and they just look yellow through his mask (yes I know more recent games have him with yellow eyes, but Kirby's eyes are still green while wearing his mask, so I refuse to accept this.)
Ash Tailor The mask only seemed to mix some yellow into Kirby's blue eyes, and I'm pretty sure Blue and pink stem from completely unrelated sides of the colour wheel (what with pink basically being light red, red being a completely different primary color).
Galacta Knight only come when Kirby isn't invole in the story. Guess star mode, Meta Knightmare. Hyness Call for him instead of Void Termina in the time line where Kirby isn't there and Galacta Knight can also be consider to be a galactic crisit and was also being sealed away. I find it cool that in Guest Star Allies instead of Hyness using Void Termina to exact his revenge, he tries to use Galacta Knight, but didn't account for the Butterfly Effect
Sadly, you used the badly translated pause description. The original Japanese description directly point out that the butterfly show up when someone perish, basically implying to be the Grim Reaper of the Kirby series.

So why does it not kill Kirby? Or has it always been waiting for the right moment, the proper setting that Fate has preordained to all life and as such even to the amorphous nigh unstoppable pink entity known as Kirby would inevitably fall victim to? Or is it trying to devour an infant god knowing full well what other gods in the past have devolved into, or simply kept on being, and simply wishing to stop inevitable galactic genocides if and when the young deity is corrupted by the horrors of the actions and destruction it itself has wrought upon its own sanity?
When you think about it, everytime the butterfly lands on Kirby its trying to merge with him as he is the most powerful being in the universe. He simply wasn't ready yet.

considering Kirby takes place in dreamland, and Dreamland is a setting in HP Lovecraft's extended universe of Eldritch Horror, this all makes sense and is entirely appropriate.
I actually believe the Milky Way Wishes portion of Meta Knightmare Ultra happens after the original Milky Way Wishes and the Marx Soul fight. The way Kirby and Meta Knight summon Nova is different, with Meta Knight’s looking like a reverse of Nova’s death. However there is still a part missing from above Nova’s eye, which blew off when Kirby destroyed the nucleus. These parts may have been the parts absorbed by Marx to become Marx Soul. So yeah, I think Galacta Knight is canon. Can’t explain his appearance in Robobot though.

My only issue with him is that he has a one off appearance that features him canonically blowing up a quarter of the moon. His only reason for existing was to tell you that Dedede isn't bad anymore. All his other appearances are in mini games so there's not much to go off of. Dark Metaknight, Taranza, and Sectonia on the other hand.....

I've always wondered how powerful Meta Knight actually is. Galacta Knight is like the strongest man of all time, he can slap down planets casually. I'm pretty sure Galacta Knight would defeat Void Termina is a fight. But then Meta Knight beats him in a sword fight every single time. Meta Knight could honestly take over the known Kirby universe with that much power if it weren't for Kirby being the actual strongest man of all time. What really bothers me the most is that Galacta Knight one shots Star Dream, and then Meta Knight beats Galacta Knight. But somehow Meta Knight got defeated by the Haltmann company, and turned into Mecha Knight. I don't know why I even try to powerscale Kirby. Kirby can baseball bat a meteor thousands of light-years away in a matter of a couple seconds, yet he doesn't one-shot literally everything. It's a game that's not supposed to make sense, and I take it too seriously
TMOSP I think it's more matchups and skill than power. Like, meta knight can get in and out quick and poke you 100 times, while galacta knight can just one shot it.
Kirby can also nearly everything. He can breath in space (manny time now), he can eat amost everything. Not so manny force can beat his survival ability
TMOSP The only answer I can give for Mk losing is that he was in his ship and tried to take down the invaders. They shot him down quickly then basically jumped him and his crew catching them off guard after they were regrouping from the crash. As we see at near the end of the game the Halbred is back to 100% capacity within a short amount of time. So my guess is while Mk was taken his crew fixed up the ship. Not sure if that's 100% correct but thats my guess on it. But as we see in Metaknight ultra returned No ONE stood a chance vs Mk. He ran through the whole army by himself
Overall it's a rock paper scissors senario, Galacta Knight can (metaphorically) RAPE you in his boss fights if you let him. Canonically though, meta knight would't let him, and meta knight is actually using his weapon properly so, he wins through skill and speed. However, Galacta Knight easily beats star dream without it's nova body, while meta knight could easily be stopped.

Time and time again, it arrives to bring justice to the most grievous of offenders... And so, the flickering flame of Hades follows this, this adorable atrocity throughout time and space, trying in vain to perhaps catch it with its guard down. That is, until one of Halcandra's clockwork stars, driven mad by its own self-awarness, vowed to extinguish every life in the universe. Until it was pulverized by the very creature who had done the very same, long ago. But. When this sentient Machine began to become undone, it's thoughts raced through any who would listen. Aside from the nonsensical babble spewed from the minds of its previous users, almost all of them emenated one strong, unmistakable emotion. *Fear.* A fear for SOMETHING. Something terrible, that brought a massive calamity upon not just the galaxy, but the universe. During this time, this living disaster was being bounced from timeline to timeline, ever since its first defeat at the hands of a certain masked warrior. He had been summoned an infinite amount of times, by many. Meta Knight, Galactic Nova, Star Dream, and of course, that... That *thing.* And of the infinite times it was summoned, it was always greeted with a fight, of which it has won and lost and endless amount. But this was the last straw. It was FURIOUS now. In an attempt to catch whatever poor soul off guard, it tore through time and space, emerging upon a group of four "heroes", tired after their struggle with a mad cultist. Before the enraged knight could throw itself at the friends, it was stopped. There were not four beings here, but five. And the fifth could sense the endless amounts of blood wiped clean off the Temporal warrior's blade. And so, it fluttered unassumingly onto its target, as it has always has, but unlike Morpho's previous target, there was no dark, divine oblivion within the poor, unfortunate soul to protect it. And thus ended the story of Galacta Knight. No. It's not over. It'll NEVER be over. The anguished souls of all Galacta Knight has slain cry out from their guardian angel, absorbing the very power that brought their demise. And now... The butterfly has been reborn. He was not Morpho, nor was he Galacta Knight. He was... Extinction.
Ok. With the post-game of Kirby and the Forgotten Land, I don't think the butterfly fuses with Galacta Knight to become Morpho Knight, because the butterfly does exactly the same thing to Soul Forgo, and still becomes Morpho Knight. I think that the butterfly by itself is Morpho Knight, but it needs more energy/power to become its warrior form. It gets this energy/power from powerful entities like Galacta Knight and Soul Forgo by vaporising them.
@@Wolfgang-vd8kx what's to say that thing isn't something else? I mean, we only saw a silhouette of it, and the shape isn't completely identical. My theory at this point is that Soul Forgo could be much more powerful than Galacta Knight, giving Morpho some kind of "ultimate form", which goes on to later become Chaos Elfilis.
That's confirmed by the Japanese descriptions; the butterfly is Morpho Knight's form when it wants to save on energy. It turns into Morpho Knight no matter who it absorbs.
Curiously enough, in Forgotten Land, the Morpho Knight power up says Kirby can control its power like a breeze... just how ungodly powerfull is the small puff ball
The reason why Morpho Knight cannot posses or eliminate Kirby It's because according to Forgotten Land Kirby's power surpasses that of Morpho Knight an such level of power is nothing but a breeze to him, so I guess he can only do that to those that are weaker than him

The butterfly is the embodiment of the infinite voices of the dead pleading for life. That is a lovecraftian grim reaper for sure! I wonder if it is friends with kirby, or if it cannot kill him. Is it watching him in fear of the day kirby loses control and the void devours all things, or in anticipation of it?

Minor mistake though, I'm just moreso happy you made sure to specify it as a what if scenario as the devs had said regarding extra modes. > Star Dream wasn't really giving Meta Knight the bosses in Meta Knightmare Returns as a means of self defense, they were testing him since they thought he was the new admin. It literally says this in game. I get trying to be dramatic and all but that shouldn't come at the cost of accuracy. Not really much else to say. pikachufan2222 Only Meta Knightmare returns and the True Arena battles are confirmed as non-canon. Other extra modes, minigames, spinoff games are conventionally considered as non-canon, not confirmed. And some of them has some cause-effect relations with main story which supports they are canon. For example, RtDL's MK description says intense training made him stronger, TDX's DMK description says he is shadow of 'strongest knight'.(Because MK defeated galacta knight) From those things, we can conclude Meta Knightmare Ultra is actually canon.
Kumazaki also then when on to talk about how they always put in mode like this for the player who wants more challenge. Since he does this after saying it was a what if scenario we can infer he means these modes on the whole. He also goes on to states that the rift Galacta Knight comes through transcends space time, making it difficult to have a concrete spot on the timeline for him. With both these facts in mind it means Galacta Knight has not had an appearance in the canon timeline, and this has been widely accepted by the majority of the fanbase.
pikachufan2222 Some fandom say It was confirmed all single extra modes are non-canon, other say almost of them are confirmed as non-canon (not every), and others say nothing except MK Returns and True Arena battles is confirmed. If Kumazaki actually implied EVERY extra mode is non-canon, I would nothing but accept that. And I think extra modes are non-canon too, but Revenge of the king and MK Ultra have ambiguous position. They have same status with the main stories so they can also be considered as main story, though boss rush modes are too but confirmed as non-canon. And if that is non-canon, what is the MK's intense training? Nothing other than MK and MK Ultra was shown in the game. Galacta Knight's space-time traveler concept can't be applied to MK. If MK didn't defeat Galacta Knight, he couldn't get the 'strongest knight' title in TDX after SSU. So Meta Knightmare Ultra should be canon, while other Meta Knightmares and Galacta Knight's appearences are all non-canon.
Unknown It could also be that we know that Meta Knight is capable of beating Galacta through that mode which is why it says he's the strongest. It didn't happen, but he's capable of it. And Meta Knight could go through various other methods of intense training, it doesn't have to be Meta Knightmare Ultra. Honestly given Kirby lore's reputation for being vague either of us could be right or wrong.

Considering Morpho Knight’s Japanese name (Freyja - Norse leader of the Valkyries), it may be the first member to be the same species to be female. Morpho Knight is basically the Kirby world equivalent to the Grim Reaper - a motif I find fitting, since it searches for lingering souls and those that should be long dead, but transcended time (like Galacta Knight).
And now Morpho Knight has made a legit canon appearance, but manifested in a stranger way than Star Allies. There was no apparent presence of Galacta Knight; I wonder what that's about...
It's said Galacta Knight was never truly defeated amd just sealed away, but maybe that's not true. Maybe in the canon, Morpho did obliterate Galacta Knight for good and harnessed it's powers, unbeknownst to anyone. I theorize Morpho Knight exists as a Grim Reaper, aiming to destroy eldritch beings who hold too much power in the universe. It not only appeared to get rid of Fecto Forgo, but Kirby and Elfilin themselves. Fortunately, Kirby was able to overcome the embodiment of death itself, causing it's power to be split between Kirby and and the Chaos Elfilis. And Kirby is the last one standing, the new Reaper of the Universe.
@@TheWaverunners Anyway the butterfly is not unique, there are several of them appearing in the kinematics of Planet Robobot. I wouldn't be surprised if there was something bigger behind it or if the power that one butterfly can acquire can be used by another as if they were connected. Star Allies implies that the Morpho Knight form stems from his union with Galacta Knight (after all, their hearts resonated that didn't happen with Forgo), but Forgotten Land suggests that it is when he absorbs a powerful soul. Hard to judge which vision is correct, unless these two things coexist? Which means that the resonance is always effective and that a powerful soul recharges or strengthens it?
Morpho technically didn't need to absorb Galacta Knight to get a proper body; anyone strong enough would do, hence why it still turns into a knight after eating Soul Forgo.
@@F1areon This is both true and false. We don't know if the appearance of Morpho Knight that he regained has anything to do with the absorption of Galacta Knight. As previously stated, this absorption did not happen in the same way. Galacta Knight was not in soul form (physical body) and they came into resonance with a heart animation. What we never saw with Forgo was taken by surprise. The hypothesis of the butterfly becoming Morpho Knight by default as soon as it absorbs a powerful soul is plausible. Nevertheless, there are other hypotheses that cannot be ignored that can explain many things. For example, that there is always a link between the butterfly and Galacta Knight because of the resonance, forcing him to recharge from a powerful soul to take on that body and use his powers again. All the texts of Star Allies make the link with Galacta Knight, I tell myself that if it was not effective anymore, he would have simply taken an appearance close to Forgo during his absorption, knowing that beside no text says that Morpho Knight is his true appearance in a natural way. In truth, the only element of Forgo, is in the kind of flame soul that he projects on his opponent who has his face. The Morpho Knight from Star Allies has this attack but it is just a grimace without the face of a known character. All this to say that at the moment, it is complicated to say with certainty what is really around the Butterfly, we have already identified some of its abilities but we still lack data to assert anything.
@@Arcaninos Actually, there is: the Japanese version of Star Allies confirms that Morpho Knight and Galacta Knight are two separate characters, and the former absorbing the latter didn't have anything to do with them getting a proper body. The butterfly turns back into Morpho Knight once it absorbs enough power from whoever it landed on.

Kirby games either get scary, tragic, or both. Except for the first Kirby game and maybe Epic Yarn. It's weird how Kirby went from fighting a Penguin king stealing food to fighting gods and cosmic horrors threatening the universe.

I see that there are a lot of theories going around because of the butterfly using the friend heart, like Kirby and co. and Hyness and his the three mages. However, had noone noticed that the hearts Kirby and friends use pump in the opposite way than the butterfly's? Kirby's flow outwards while the butterfly' s flow inwards. Just a little thing I noticed
Fun Fact: In Kirby Star Allies if you look at the boss tab for Morpho Knight, it implies that Morpho Knight was created by Galacta Knight. My theory is that in all the games, the butterfly was lookiing for it's creator, the "strongest warrior in the galaxy." I rest my case...
Metaknight's resummoning of Nova isn't a separate timeline. His story takes place after Milky Way Wishes. Notice Nova's body is still damaged from when Kirby defeats it the first time.
It's entirely possible that it's both. Meta Knight sees Kirby's adventure to reach Nova, so he restages it to prove he can do anything Kirby can, and then tests himself through a battle with the strongest warrior in the galaxy.
The first time I heard of Morpho Knight this exact point was brought up. Morpho Knight has been with Kirby since the very beginning, and with the latest game, apparently it seeks out powerful opponents similar to Meta Knight.
Kirby is a series that knows how to use contrast. It will show you all sorts of cheerful visuals only to throw you into fighting some sort of ultra space demon. While the actual content isn't really that crazy when you compare it to games like Doom or Resident Evil, the outward appearance of the game makes the darker parts of it stick out a lot more.
Probably gonna get made fun of for saying this but, MLP is like Kirby in that regard. For the most part it's all sunshine and lollipops. But, there are surprisingly a lot of dark and epic moments to be found throughout the series.
I've always been a fan of this trope (The fact that the final boss is right next to you but you never knew it) I dont know the name/term for it but it isn't done that much. Only one I can name off the top of my head is actually from yugioh in the form of Bakura.
Kirby annoyed a butterfly once. That butterfly then came to make sure, at the moment of his greatest vulnerability, that he would never, NEVER do it again.

This Guy well, to be fair, that's just how Galacta Knight's eyes look through his mask. You can't prove he actually has pink eyes, and not blue eyes. I mean, Meta Knight has white eyes, and they just look yellow through his mask (yes I know more recent games have him with yellow eyes, but Kirby's eyes are still green while wearing his mask, so I refuse to accept this.)

Hyness Call for him instead of Void Termina in the time line where Kirby isn't there and Galacta Knight can also be consider to be a galactic crisit and was also being sealed away. considering Kirby takes place in dreamland, and Dreamland is a setting in HP Lovecraft's extended universe of Eldritch Horror, this all makes sense and is entirely appropriate.
I actually believe the Milky Way Wishes portion of Meta Knightmare Ultra happens after the original Milky Way Wishes and the Marx Soul fight. The way Kirby and Meta Knight summon Nova is different, with Meta Knight’s looking like a reverse of Nova’s death. However there is still a part missing from above Nova’s eye, which blew off when Kirby destroyed the nucleus. These parts may have been the parts absorbed by Marx to become Marx Soul. So yeah, I think Galacta Knight is canon. Can’t explain his appearance in Robobot though.

My only issue with him is that he has a one off appearance that features him canonically blowing up a quarter of the moon. His only reason for existing was to tell you that Dedede isn't bad anymore. I've always wondered how powerful Meta Knight actually is. Galacta Knight is like the strongest man of all time, he can slap down planets casually. I'm pretty sure Galacta Knight would defeat Void Termina is a fight. But then Meta Knight beats him in a sword fight every single time.
Meta Knight could honestly take over the known Kirby universe with that much power if it weren't for Kirby being the actual strongest man of all time.
What really bothers me the most is that Galacta Knight one shots Star Dream, and then Meta Knight beats Galacta Knight. But somehow Meta Knight got defeated by the Haltmann company, and turned into Mecha Knight.
I don't know why I even try to powerscale Kirby. Kirby can baseball bat a meteor thousands of light-years away in a matter of a couple seconds, yet he doesn't one-shot literally everything. It's a game that's not supposed to make sense, and I take it too seriously
TMOSP I think it's more matchups and skill than power. Like, meta knight can get in and out quick and poke you 100 times, while galacta knight can just one shot it.
Kirby can also nearly everything. He can breath in space (manny time now), he can eat amost everything. Not so manny force can beat his survival ability

TMOSP The only answer I can give for Mk losing is that he was in his ship and tried to take down the invaders. They shot him down quickly then basically jumped him and his crew catching them off guard after they were regrouping from the crash. As we see at near the end of the game the Halbred is back to 100% capacity within a short amount of time. So my guess is while Mk was taken his crew fixed up the ship.
Not sure if that's 100% correct but thats my guess on it.
But as we see in Metaknight ultra returned No ONE stood a chance vs Mk. He ran through the whole army by himself
Overall it's a rock paper scissors senario, Galacta Knight can (metaphorically) RAPE you in his boss fights if you let him. Canonically though, meta knight would't let him, and meta knight is actually using his weapon properly so, he wins through skill and speed. However, Galacta Knight easily beats star dream without it's nova body, while meta knight could easily be stopped.

That *thing.* And of the infinite times it was summoned, it was always greeted with a fight, of which it has won and lost and endless amount. But this was the last straw. It was FURIOUS now. In an attempt to catch whatever poor soul off guard, it tore through time and space, emerging upon a group of four "heroes", tired after their struggle with a mad cultist. Before the enraged knight could throw itself at the friends, it was stopped. There were not four beings here, but five. And the fifth could sense the endless amounts of blood wiped clean off the Temporal warrior's blade. And so, it fluttered unassumingly onto its target, as it has always has, but unlike Morpho's previous target, there was no dark, divine oblivion within the poor, unfortunate soul to protect it. And thus ended the story of Galacta Knight.
No. It's not over. It'll NEVER be over. The anguished souls of all Galacta Knight has slain cry out from their guardian angel, absorbing the very power that brought their demise. And now... The butterfly has been reborn. He was not Morpho, nor was he Galacta Knight. He was... Extinction.

With the post-game of Kirby and the Forgotten Land, I don't think the butterfly fuses with Galacta Knight to become Morpho Knight, because the butterfly does exactly the same thing to Soul Forgo, and still becomes Morpho Knight. I think that the butterfly by itself is Morpho Knight, but it needs more energy/power to become its warrior form. It gets this energy/power from powerful entities like Galacta Knight and Soul Forgo by vaporising them.
Soul Fargo is released after taking out Morpho knight so it’s safe to say it might not be the end of Galacta Knight

My theory at this point is that Soul Forgo could be much more powerful than Galacta Knight, giving Morpho some kind of "ultimate form", which goes on to later become Chaos Elfilis.
That's confirmed by the Japanese descriptions; the butterfly is Morpho Knight's form when it wants to save on energy. It turns into Morpho Knight no matter who it absorbs.

Other extra modes, minigames, spinoff games are conventionally considered as non-canon, not confirmed. And some of them has some cause-effect relations with main story which supports they are canon. For example, RtDL's MK description says intense training made him stronger, TDX's DMK description says he is shadow of 'strongest knight'.(Because MK defeated galacta knight) From those things, we can conclude Meta Knightmare Ultra is actually canon.
Kumazaki also then when on to talk about how they always put in mode like this for the player who wants more challenge. Since he does this after saying it was a what if scenario we can infer he means these modes on the whole. He also goes on to states that the rift Galacta Knight comes through transcends space time, making it difficult to have a concrete spot on the timeline for him. With both these facts in mind it means Galacta Knight has not had an appearance in the canon timeline, and this has been widely accepted by the majority of the fanbase.

If Kumazaki actually implied EVERY extra mode is non-canon, I would nothing but accept that. And I think extra modes are non-canon too, but Revenge of the king and MK Ultra have ambiguous position. They have same status with the main stories so they can also be considered as main story, though boss rush modes are too but confirmed as non-canon. And if that is non-canon, what is the MK's intense training? Nothing other than MK and MK Ultra was shown in the game. Galacta Knight's space-time traveler concept can't be applied to MK. If MK didn't defeat Galacta Knight, he couldn't get the 'strongest knight' title in TDX after SSU. So Meta Knightmare Ultra should be canon, while other Meta Knightmares and Galacta Knight's appearences are all non-canon.
Unknown It could also be that we know that Meta Knight is capable of beating Galacta through that mode which is why it says he's the strongest. It didn't happen, but he's capable of it. And Meta Knight could go through various other methods of intense training, it doesn't have to be Meta Knightmare Ultra.
Honestly given Kirby lore's reputation for being vague either of us could be right or wrong.

Considering Morpho Knight’s Japanese name (Freyja - Norse leader of the Valkyries), it may be the first member to be the same species to be female.
Morpho Knight is basically the Kirby world equivalent to the Grim Reaper - a motif I find fitting, since it searches for lingering souls and those that should be long dead, but transcended time (like Galacta Knight).

And now Morpho Knight has made a legit canon appearance, but manifested in a stranger way than Star Allies. There was no apparent presence of Galacta Knight; I wonder what that's about...
It's said Galacta Knight was never truly defeated amd just sealed away, but maybe that's not true. Maybe in the canon, Morpho did obliterate Galacta Knight for good and harnessed it's powers, unbeknownst to anyone.
I theorize Morpho Knight exists as a Grim Reaper, aiming to destroy eldritch beings who hold too much power in the universe. It not only appeared to get rid of Fecto Forgo, but Kirby and Elfilin themselves. Fortunately, Kirby was able to overcome the embodiment of death itself, causing it's power to be split between Kirby and and the Chaos Elfilis. And Kirby is the last one standing, the new Reaper of the Universe.
@@TheWaverunners Anyway the butterfly is not unique, there are several of them appearing in the kinematics of Planet Robobot. I wouldn't be surprised if there was something bigger behind it or if the power that one butterfly can acquire can be used by another as if they were connected. Star Allies implies that the Morpho Knight form stems from his union with Galacta Knight (after all, their hearts resonated that didn't happen with Forgo), but Forgotten Land suggests that it is when he absorbs a powerful soul. Hard to judge which vision is correct, unless these two things coexist? Which means that the resonance is always effective and that a powerful soul recharges or strengthens it?
Morpho technically didn't need to absorb Galacta Knight to get a proper body; anyone strong enough would do, hence why it still turns into a knight after eating Soul Forgo.
@@F1areon This is both true and false. We don't know if the appearance of Morpho Knight that he regained has anything to do with the absorption of Galacta Knight.
As previously stated, this absorption did not happen in the same way. Galacta Knight was not in soul form (physical body) and they came into resonance with a heart animation. What we never saw with Forgo was taken by surprise.
The hypothesis of the butterfly becoming Morpho Knight by default as soon as it absorbs a powerful soul is plausible. Nevertheless, there are other hypotheses that cannot be ignored that can explain many things. For example, that there is always a link between the butterfly and Galacta Knight because of the resonance, forcing him to recharge from a powerful soul to take on that body and use his powers again. All the texts of Star Allies make the link with Galacta Knight, I tell myself that if it was not effective anymore, he would have simply taken an appearance close to Forgo during his absorption, knowing that beside no text says that Morpho Knight is his true appearance in a natural way.
In truth, the only element of Forgo, is in the kind of flame soul that he projects on his opponent who has his face. The Morpho Knight from Star Allies has this attack but it is just a grimace without the face of a known character.
All this to say that at the moment, it is complicated to say with certainty what is really around the Butterfly, we have already identified some of its abilities but we still lack data to assert anything.
@@Arcaninos Actually, there is: the Japanese version of Star Allies confirms that Morpho Knight and Galacta Knight are two separate characters, and the former absorbing the latter didn't have anything to do with them getting a proper body. The butterfly turns back into Morpho Knight once it absorbs enough power from whoever it landed on.
You also have to update this one with Heroes in another dimension, in which Morpho Knight's epithet becomes "Dark Winged Disaster"

And now it's made a canon appearance.
I imagine that Kirby may very well descend into the depths of hell to fight a butterfly.
Metaknight's resummoning of Nova isn't a separate timeline. His story takes place after Milky Way Wishes. Notice Nova's body is still damaged from when Kirby defeats it the first time.
That timeline isn't canon. It was confirmed in an interview.
It's entirely possible that it's both. Meta Knight sees Kirby's adventure to reach Nova, so he restages it to prove he can do anything Kirby can, and then tests himself through a battle with the strongest warrior in the galaxy.
The first time I heard of Morpho Knight this exact point was brought up. Morpho Knight has been with Kirby since the very beginning, and with the latest game, apparently it seeks out powerful opponents similar to Meta Knight.
"The militant extremist meta knight" is not an incorrect description. But it does show how important framing is

There's also the Death God in Kirby Mass Attack that nearly kills Kirby at the beginning of the game.
Kirby is a series that knows how to use contrast. It will show you all sorts of cheerful visuals only to throw you into fighting some sort of ultra space demon. While the actual content isn't really that crazy when you compare it to games like Doom or Resident Evil, the outward appearance of the game makes the darker parts of it stick out a lot more.
Probably gonna get made fun of for saying this but, MLP is like Kirby in that regard. For the most part it's all sunshine and lollipops. But, there are surprisingly a lot of dark and epic moments to be found throughout the series.
