    Good point. There are plenty of ways to learn network security other than master degree ! And as you said hands on practice is important. Your videos are clear on to the point . Keep doing more videos on cybersecurity topics

      Hi mate, I studied from CBTNuggets when I initially started my networking journey, mainly their CCNA course, link is here - www.cbtnuggets.com/it-training/cisco/ccna

      Its great that you are already getting valuable work experience. You also have good certs, you could try and take the next step to maybe get into some form of management in tech after a while.

    Hi Royden, I'm starting a fresh career in network engineering and cloud computing. I believe getting a bachelor degree in not necessary but can be helpful in my future career. Is it required to have a degree in this field to reach a senior position or shall I just pass my CCNA ?

    • @thesocialdork1133

      Hi, start with your CCNA and see how you like it. Once you get that you can then decide what you want to do ahead, but I don't agree with the fact that a bachelors degree is necessary.

      I found a 2 year degree (IT) useful. I was lucky to have a good community college nearby.
      I've seen a 4 year degree (IT) be a waste of time for some.

    What got you interested in networking? Is it because you find it easy, was it by accident? I never liked networking but it's grown on me a bit now I'm revisiting it. Maybe because before, it didn't really make sense or the IP addresses, OSI, port numbers went over my head. Thanks.

      I started my journey into Networking during my masters degree. I had no clue what it was initially, however having taken the course, it did grow on me and over time I started loving it and building virtual lab networks seemed so much fun!

      Hi Joe, I came to Australia on a student visa as I did my masters here in Network and Security. Good luck with your CCNA, you can reach to me on Linkedin if you need any guidance or help with the same.

    I am an undergraduate trying to go to Australia for further studies. I have knowledge about diverse Tech fields and am planning to go for CCNA certification soon. Can I get a job in Australia easily as an undergraduate student having CCNA?

      Hi mate, you can explore work visa options such as 482 however it would be highly beneficial if you have work experience before applying for this 482 visa. Once you gather 3 years or more of work experience your chances of getting a employer sponsored visa would be much higher.

      @@thesocialdork1133What I mean to say is I am going Australia in student visa not in working visa. Is it easy to get a part time networking job with just CCNA and without any bachelor's degree certificates?

    Hi, I would like to know if networking is still worth it, cause I have got a VMWARE certificate and I am preparing my self for Cisco CCNP enterprise and I am studying CCNP Security. Am I to a safe side please respond...

    • @thesocialdork1133
      @thesocialdork1133  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Chris, being a network engineer is still worth it. I would suggest prepare for only one CCNP first rather than taking too much on at once. Focus on the CCNP and get that cleared, once done you can look into the CCNP Security however I am not a big fan of Cisco security but if that is something you like you should try to get it done. Also try to get a job as a network engineer if possible.

      Hi Chris, you can go for the CCNA security, PCNSA or Comptia sec+ too. I have just put a video out on how to complete this transition, do check it out, it will help you - th-cam.com/video/CaUsPUMqltU/w-d-xo.html
