I think it's first video in TH-cam who explains nicely about networking .. Really a great idea sir ❤.. thanks brother.. please explain also cisco certifications .. like ccie..
Great video! I appreciate how clear and concise you were in explaining the roles of network engineers and network security. I also like the suggestion to upload a video about PaloAlto certificate and your journey to getting certified. It would be really helpful to hear about your personal experience and any tips you have for those pursuing that certification. Keep up the great work!
Would def like to see a video on how you passed the PCNSA. I’ve done some studying on this cert and had trouble locating quality practice tests. Thanks!
Hi, If you are a high schooler I would recommend getting your bachelors/undergrad first. This could be in IT. Certifications such as CCNA, Network+ etc. could be sought after later on. If you have an interest in IT, you could get a bachelors that focusses on many IT domains and then specialize in lets say Networking/Cybersecurity. I have a video on a roadmap to get into Network Security and you can check this out just to get a perspective - th-cam.com/video/U-m4nBxenQk/w-d-xo.html
Hi Joe, CCNA is a good start, then try working as a network engineer, you can either get the CCNP after that or focus on Network Security Certs such as PCNSA (Palo is in high demand).
Hi, if you are looking to get into network security then I would recommend more than the CCNA to be honest. You can focus on security certs or courses as well
Hi David, I use EVE NG with Palo Alto Images. I have subscribed to a service where you can download a full EVE NG instance with pre-installed IOS images for most Operating Systems.
I am CCNA certified, which firewall certificate I can go for? PCNSA /fortinet/Cisco ASA or i need to complete CCNP first to complete firewall certification? Please suggest.
As a beginner in diving into security and networking to become a cyber security analyst, could you please suggest where to start and what certifications do i need to have to become one.
Hi Kavya, I will be making a complete roadmap video for that one. But in summary CCNA - Work as a network engineer - Learn Linux- Transition into Network security. You can watch my video on the list of certifications I did to get a better idea which is already out on my channel.
i am searching for this kind of content from a month it is really good video, untill it clers the all the doubts of viewers ,sorry to bother you but i have small query, i wanna become the network security engineer, i am thinking of doing my masters in network security what is your suggestion, suggest me any good universities to get enrolled with my network security course thank you
Thank you. Depends on which country you are looking to get into ? I strongly suggest do some good certification courses first such as the CCNA or Comptia security+ to get an understanding and then commit to finding a good university for networks and security.
hi brother, i have joined an organization as junior network engineer, instead of working with cisco switches, accesspoints, routers, most often i worked i with sophos firewall, do you give me any suggestions based on this
That's fine. However as a network engineer experience with switches and routers is more like bread and butter hence I would recommend to try and get this experience using home virtual labs.
@@thesocialdork1133 thank you, but CCNA knowledge of routing and switching is enough right, because I want to completeley enter into security domain So, should I do ccnp Or do any firewall certifications like Pcnsa or pcnse
Hi, my take on this is, even if you transition into cloud, you still need network engineers to facilitate that transition. Let me know what you think about this
I have CCNA and CCNP enterprise now I am going for CCIE training do you think it's a wise idea to go for CCIE security instead of enterprise? Or i should go for CCIE enterprise and then go for extra security program like Palo alto or Fortinet?
I think you should skip the ccie and Cisco in general and go for fortinet and Palo Alto. Do the nse4 and pcnse certs. Run some labs in gns3 and get comfortable with the product by trying out different setups.
I would recommend being a Network Engineer first. You can however check a couple of videos I have made on the differences between the two and which would be better as a beginner.
Can you pls describe age criteria that this field required? Asking because I am over 30 and want to become network engineer. Is there any chance that I be a successful engineering as a fresher?pls reply
Hi Akhilesh thanks for your comment, there is no age to start learning and growing. I am sure you can always start at any stage. Make sure you follow a right path and keep at it. Good luck
Hi, In my view networking and security will definitely have a high demand. Also with networking, that is something that will never really be phased out as it is the backbone of any infrastructure.
I suggested Palo Alto only because I feel their firewall solutions are really good. However there are a few vendor neutral certs that are available. The COMPTIA SEC+ is a cert that covers many domains of cybersecurity.
Hello sir. having watch your video about how to transition from network engineer to network security engineer and is so much insightful and well explained. Have now got the idear clearly about how to now become a network security engineer as i have been in the field of network engineer for the past three years. I'm so much guided by your video and this will be my guide. DENNIS KOJO ADAM. Thanks so much.
Sir iam intrested in networks but i dont like program my qus is program is important for network related jobs now iam currently pursuing msc cyber security in india how to start my career in networks
Hi, If you want to get started in Networking, I always suggest getting the Comptia Network+ course done but if you already have base knowledge of the subject then CCNA is something you can aim to get.
Coding is important if you are looking to get into network automation where coding is used along with basic networking CLI knowledge. Without programming there are plenty of jobs available in network/security engineering.
Hi mate, unfortunately I haven't explored the Checkpoint pathway yet as I still have to work extensively on those devices. As of now I have worked on the ASA and Palo Alto FW technologies.
It depends usually in Australia it would be around 70 - 80K Australian dollars, it depends hugely on number of years of experience too but this is the rough range for a associate
I don't know what to believe whoever makes video what they project to the people will say what they present is goid some people say AWS is good some people say data anylst is good sime say network engineer is good next here we can see other person with other projection don't know what to believe and which course to study for the future
It depends on the customer and the role. Another thing to consider is the labor category for the position, which can give an idea of the pay band. That’s a very important aspect not discussed. An IT person can be successful in any role and often times roles bleed over into each other.

How to clear exam
You can watch my video on how to clear the PCNSA for a full review on the exam. Thanks!
thanks for sharing. Can u share some tool use for Network Security Engineering.
You can try building your own labs with firewalls in network emulators like EVENG
PCNSA is like printing money.
Bro, cut the silences in the video to keep it more engaging.
Thanks for the tip
Is this a good path to take? 1.CCNA 2.CCNP Enterprise ? To be a network security engineer
