Thank you for your input. Where I live, Addict RC 30 is $2610, while Tarmac Comp is $3150 even though they have comparable specs except arguably Addict having better frame tier. So it’s a no brainer for me to go with the Addict.
@duffyrides Haha np. You said you were riding a size 54 frame, right? I’m 180cm (5’11) with an inseam of 84cm. Online bike fits and Scott’s website recommend me size 56 (L) frame. Do you think so as well?
@@BurndTire I strongly suggest you go to the shop and try the 54. The size 54 in the Scott is a bit larger than a regular 54 I believe. Every bike is unique. I’ve had someone that rides a size 56 Scott Addict RC (just like mine) sit on my bike (size 54) and he likes the way the 54 feels. There is a strong chance that the 54 is the right size for you so it’s best to go and try one in the store.
Never size up… at your height, the SL7 in 52 is appropriate tbh. Unless you have unusually long legs. I love the Scott addict, but the SL7 is very very similar. I have a 1 piece Avian Canary. I highly recommend you try it….
Agreed. That’s why I suggested to the other person that they should go into the store and try both the 54 and 56. As for the SL7 here, the seat post needs to be very far extended for me , pretty much to the maximum within the safety limits. But it fits me well. I have a one piece bar and stem installed on the Scott Addict RC this week so stay tuned for that video !
Je suis l heureux propriétaire de l addict rc pro , rien à redire sur ce super vélo , très complet et passe partout , le graal serait d upgrader les roues zipp

Thanks appreciate that feedback ! At the end of the day they are both great. Enjoy whatever you ride !

Beautiful initial shot.,..thanks
I have been using my Scott Addict RC40 for nearly 2 years...happy with it, much cheaper. But my wish for Specialized Tarmac SL8 in the future.
Awesome to hear you enjoying the Scott as well. Yes the Tarmac SL8 is an amazing machine. Can’t go wrong there.
