JKB...Great clip on the install. I ordered mine earlier this week and expecting it to come in soon. Looking forward to doing the same install next weekend. Your install video is perfect timing for me. Thanks!!
Thanks Justin!. Congrats on the purchase (or plan to do so). They are great bikes for sure. I appreciate the comments and the feedback, and yes, I have many to choose from, and more to come on the LRST and other bikes. Glad they are helpful. Ride Safe
@@justkillnbugz Definitely! I have a 2021 Rebel 1100 right now that I have customized quite a bit. It's a great bike but not the best for longer rides. For me at least.
You did a nice job with the install . Just about to put my forward controls on with the mini floor boards . I tried the Bung King it will not work with forward controls , should have watched your video first . I also put a S&S 475 in mine with the Trashin pipe . waiting for a program from Dynojet . I also have a Road Glide 2020 all black out with the S&S Olin front and rear nice bike . Will be interesting how this bike will compare . I have had lot of low riders before . We will see . Chuck
Thanks for the comments, much appreciated. I really like the fwd controls, but still may put full floor boards on it, still researching. I have noticed that since I did the thrashin bars upgrade on my RGST, it handles like a smaller bike and is easier to whip around, which is never a bad thing, lol. Look forward to hearing your thoughts as well. Also will be changing out my air cleaner as well since I had an issue with my V&H (they did a great job trying to resolve it to no avail), but it's all good. Ride Safe
wish I had of watched this the other day before attempting to remove my T bar in preferrence for the D shaped crash bar. Talk about tight spaces and large hands to get things undone. I have decided now with floorboard mounted highway pegs.
Hey Mark, thanks for the feedback. I can totally agree with the tight spaces, those two bolts were a pain for sure..lol. I like some of the floor board mounted peg configs as well, if I ever take this to a full floor board config, I may just do the same. 👍 Ride safe
Great video thanks for this, my bikes just arrived in UK this week. Question, if the bike was to drop with these crash bars would the panniers be damaged or do they not touch the floor? Just trying to work it out. Thank you 🤙
Hey Tim, thanks for the comments. Much appreciated. The crash bar would help save the engine and some of the fairing. It will not protect the bags. You would need to get bag guards or a rear bar to help offset them from getting damaged due to the length of the bike and the tip angle. It would land on the bar in front and the bags in the rear without something there. Congrats on the new bike and hope that helps. Ride safe.
@@justkillnbugz thank you for the reply, really appreciated. I had a feeling you would say that . . . . . Thank you, it’s the 1st white one in the UK, hopefully collecting next week. Just having the Rockfords installed, v&h 2 in to 1 and same crash bar as you. Thanks again !
Great video thanks again, i put the mustache bar on my 23 low rider st today pretty much using just your video. I have question though, you mention the bracket from the kit isn’t needed as the install is the mustache bar, but wouldn’t not using it leave a gap between the motor and the frame from where the old bracket came out? I installed it just to be safe. I’ve never really done much work on my bikes for fear of screwing things up. Thanks to your video I was able to feel comfortable, doing the install on my own. Thanks again!
Thank you. Much appreciated! And yes, you are correct to add it. It was an editing error and I couldn’t redo it once posted. Thank you for bringing that up. I will add a comment in the description as well. Ride safe and glad it helped.
With the stock air intake, can you still use the engine guard to rest your feet? Was wondering if I’d have to change air intake to use this guard as highway pegs.
Thanks for the question. With the stock air cleaner it is very difficult to get a comfortable extension to the guard. This may differ based on leg length, but for me who has about a 30 1/2” to 31” inseam, it was not a good position. With my stinger air cleaner I knocked off about 4” of width. Made a huge difference. Thanks again and ride safe.
@@cameronbartley6139 Correct, not too far, I am near Temecula. Check out the Bike Shed, it's a great visit and experience. I go there a couple times a month. You will love it!
@justkillinbugz Thanks for creating such well laid out videos on your lrst mods! Waiting on my fairing support kit to install my engine guard. Can you tell me what mirrors you are using? they look like they would give better visibility than stock.
Thank you for the feedback and the question, much appreciated. I love the engine guard on this bike, I think you will as well. On the mirrors, you bet, these are the HD custom mirrors. I did a video when I put them on my RGST with the link and install that you can see here : th-cam.com/video/xWv4oznuOyI/w-d-xo.html They do provide a bit better visibility for sure, I put 1 inch fish eyes from Cycle Gear on to help as well, the stock ones are just too narrow for a "broad" individual such as myself (lol). Hope that helps and ride safe!

You missed a part. The replacement bracket to the upper motor mount at the top of the bar. You had to move the horn to remove it. According to the video you never put the replacement in. So you either missed it in editing, or you are missing your upper motor mount bracket.
@justkillnbugz I was using your video as help with installing the standard crash bar. When I took that bracket out, it didn't sit right to leave it. I meant no disrespect, and I appreciate the help. Thanks
@@RLUROWN No worries, I appreciate the comments and pointing that out for others as well. I can't edit the video now since post but this will help others.
Thank you for the question and great eye! Yes, I had an issue with the Vance and Hines leaking oil out at the bottom of the filter and dripping on my engine and new pipes. They swapped several parts out and did a great job in trying to fix the issue but it didn’t work. I now have a different air cleaner that just arrived that I will be installing in an upcoming video. I didn’t have that issue on my two other bikes with that filter so it’s an odd scenario. More to come on the new one, ride safe and stay tuned.
Thanks for the comment. I think it looks pretty good as well, what did you end up using? Nice thing is you can always change it up and sell your old one maybe. Ride safe
@Just Kill'n Bugz i got the bung king bar. I was hoping to be able to stretch out my legs on long rides. The air cleaner will not allow me to rest my right leg on it.
