    I test rode the ST and yes it was super uncomfortable, I’m 6feet tall. I love your idea of taking the Heritage bikes foot controls as the Heritage is considered the most comfortable. BUT how bad did the floorboard scraping get?

    • @justkillnbugz
      @justkillnbugz หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the comments. I enjoy the ride so much more. As for the scrapping, I scrape my heritage boards as well so nothing new for me. There is a higher turn clearance on the LRST obviously, but My justification was if I scrape occasionally yet ride comfortably most of the time, I will just let it grind. lol. Ride safe.

    • @alexred09
      @alexred09 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ I agree. I just don’t get how people are willing to put up with discomfort. Cause if you feel comfortable you won’t ride. Glad you made this video. And handlebars also matter I don’t get why they are so far forward and say you can tour with it, I won’t even make it to the corner store without holding my back and I’m still pretty young. I got three words for Harley, comfort comfort comfort and not I don’t want to compromise the look of the bike for comfort so they better make both happen.

    Hey man, thanks for such an informative and detailed video! I bought a ‘23 low rider s and the previous owner mentioned they removed the wiring caddy inside the wiring boot to get some extra slack for a pullback plate. Looking to upgrade to thrashin 9.5 in risers, wondering if you had any advice/insight on how to distinguish between left and right controls. Haven’t taken much of a look but I planning on just feeling it out with tension but curious if there’s a better way. Thanks in advance!

    • @justkillnbugz
      @justkillnbugz หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the feedback and the question. The wiring boot can be restrictive but helps to protect from the elements getting in the harness. As for the wiring, my video shows the bundle pretty close and all the connectors are different sizes with the right and left being gray and white. Just take a pic before you disconnect anything to be safe. Also, be sure to tape off any connections that are not used so you know not to try and find a wire that does not exist. Hopefully the video will help you keep it straight. Have fun and ride safe.

In the meantime I decided to get me a low rider S. Awesome bike but if you’re planning to use it for long trips regularly it would be best to install forward controls with floor boards, especially if you’re 5’8” or taller in my opinion. Actually, I did it!! I finally got the bike on the stand while sitting on it😂!!!! but again it’s because the bike weighs 800 pounds. It takes a little muscle.

  • @reybruny

    I actually had to get off the bike, stand on the side and put the kickstand down and then tilt it up while holding the back engine guard

      I was able to pretty easy on level ground. Just takes some practice, it’s a new experience. You’ll get it.

      Thanks for the comments. It was, but I would just remove the stand to do oil changes if needed. It does come on and off pretty easily. Enjoy and ride safe.

      Tilting the bike back on the center stand was pretty hard to do and I think it’s because of the 800 pounds…

    I’m looking to get some pull back risers as well with stock bars on the fxlrs. I’m 5’6” what size would you recommend? I don’t want to make the wrong choice

    • @justkillnbugz
      @justkillnbugz 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the question. I would recommend measuring your riding position and the height from the bar base to where you want your arms to be. Generally, 6.5 to 9.5 will do, but everyone is different in body dimensions. That should give you the basics of what length risers to purchase to fit your goal. Hope that helps, ride safe.

    Hiii just , Is there any luggage that you can recommend for the stock rack? Thank you

    • @justkillnbugz
      @justkillnbugz 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the question. Here is a response from the luggage rack install video I did as well. You can put any reasonable sized bag on it but they need to have plenty if tie down options since it is a smaller surface. I personally have used the HD Onyx bag: www.harley-davidson.com/us/en/shop/onyx-premium-luggage-day-bag/p/93300104 and the Thrashin Passenger bag: www.thrashinsupply.com/collections/luggage/products/passenger-bag. They worked well and I was able to haul a change of clothes or camera equipment when filming. Like I said, you just have to tie them down well using the loops to minimize movement. Hope that helps and ride safe.

    Great video by the way. I just installed forward controls on my 2021 Lowrider S. Haven't ridden it yet but your video was very helpful. My question is the forward control kit comes with a plug for the outer primary cover where the mid control shifter arm was,but how about the hole in the inner primary where the shifter shaft follows through to the vertical shifter arm out the back side? Does that need a plug also? Will it leak primary fluid out that hole? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Joe

    • @justkillnbugz
      @justkillnbugz 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you, I appreciate the feedback and question. Been a while, but the instructions do not call out the need to plug the inner shaft hole. I have not any leakage or fluid loss since the upgrade so I think all is good. I am sure you will love the result and check out my second video on how to add heritage forward controls to my low rider at.

    Will this lever work for heritage softail? The same forward controls and footboards like the baggers, so i dont see why not.

      Thanks for the question. I know Thrashin designed this product off of direct measurements on modern touring models so not sure it would be the same usage. But, you could reach out to them on their site and inquire. Appreciate the comments, ride safe.

    • @justkillnbugz
      @justkillnbugz 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the question. The 2022 LRST did not come with traction control. It was offered on the 2023's I believe. If you have a 2023 and get the 2023 Low Rider S gauge (same premise) you should be fine. Your local dealer would be able to find you the part number and verify the gauge parameters for that model.
