Amazing that our cars had about the same damage. Mine was worse and I only did the major dent pulling and left the final fixing to the body shop. If I had the space and time I wish I would have done all the body work. I failed at putting together good footage, but hope to see yours once together. Enjoy the SC!

Probably a good call on your part. What I did only works if you are in no rush to get the car on the road and do not mind spending days doing what a body shop can do in hours. I love making things, and to me, it was like I was "making" a part of this car. It is something I'll be able to show people and say "look what I did!". My damage was RIGHT on the brink of affecting inner structures, which would have made the body work MUCH more difficult (alignment issues, etc). You said your damage was worse, so it is possible it would have been significantly more work for a non-professional. I'd love to see pictures if you have them.

I watched your videos. Car looks great! I wanted to leave some comments, but you have your posts set as "kid friendly", which disables comments. Turn that off and you should be all set.

@@aromaticpillow thanks! I didn’t even notice that. Just posted a new video today and didn’t make that mistake again!

I might have some footage in my next video coming in the next few weeks. The rear of the bumper is very strongly attached, so I'm guessing it's the side of your bumper at the wheel well that is coming loose. It's likely that one or more tabs have broken off your bumper. At the wheel well, there is one white plastic plug that holds the bumper to the metal. Once inserted, a bolt is screwed into it to expand it out and lock it in place. You can see it by pushing the wheel well liner aside in that area. If the white plug is loose, you just need to pop it back in and screw bolt in there. If the plug is solid but the bumper is moving, the tab is broken. I will have a video of repairing broken tabs up in the near future. Unfortunately, it is a bit of a challenge to fix.

I'm loving it right now. I've been driving it for 2 weeks now. I've been fortunate that everything inside the car works great, including the ML stereo. I've already been looking for estimates to paint the repair areas. To blend the paint, they would need to paint the trunk and the door as well and install new emblems (they break on removal). Probably twice the cost of just painting the corner and bumper. I may just get the car painted without blending. The paint difference will be visible, but at least it won't look like a hoopty.
