The first problems are created when there is the thought of improvement. Where there is improvement there is no contentment or acceptance of what is. Because life is so ironic it is seen as an improvement to become content and accept what is thought to be problematic. Many indeed try to manually accept and believe acceptance will make them content. People try to accept because they do not accept and they believe it will make them content because they are not content. If you see this clearly it is obvious that discontentment creates the illusion of acceptance and acceptance creates the illusion of contentment. Problems are illusory but this doesn't mean they don't exist. They do not exist objectively. We create our problems out of ignorance of the origin of their causes. Problems are created by the idea of a solution and solutions are symptoms of problems. No solution, no problem. No problem, no solution.
Yes, we are conditioned to believe that there are problems at a young age. So we try to improve our lives by complicating them with what we think are necessary problems.

The only life worth living is the one you're passionate about.

    Thank you 🙏🏼
Especially these days, individualism is rampant and we all fall prey to it, even when our intentions and “principles” are akin to what Jiddu is saying here. It’s very hard to keep this mindset throughout the day, I struggle with this.

"why has man given such importance to pleasure?"- Krishnamurti

Becoz pleasure drives every thing to do things

Because it is pleasure and pleasure is nearer to the happiness, cosmic orgasm, if any which is the basic nature - the home and it is natural. However one needs to overcome that and that's possible when one sees beyond that - higher happiness than mere pleasure. If that's not seen and not given importance, then man runs after pleasure in the form of money, material things, sex, attachments, drugs, power, etc,. It requires certain level of intelligence, integrity and intensity to go beyond and live beyond with alertness and awareness.

I like Krishna, yet I feel sometimes he is over serious which makes him miss the point of his own investigations. It requires a sence of lightness sometimes to feel Truth. 😁

God created the chaos so leave it to him to sort it out. Sri Ramesh Balsekar What happened to Krishnamurti’s secret of “I don’t mind what happens”? Seems he started to mind and starting to tell his audiences that they needed to mind what happens. He always reminds me of that old man sitting in a corner being offended and ranting on and on and on.
