k's life was devoted to spreading the message of knowing one's self . Only then the disparities in the world will come to an end.Otherwise divisions at all levels will continue making it extremely hard for one to live peacefully and distributing the resources of the world in time to come.
In a time of endless division. A breath of fresh air. He speaks from the heart. He always said to stay with sorrow and go through it. Compassion for all. No ideas and division. With that you can't sell things and such.
I ve been listening to KM from couple of years. I can tell you that his audience is not enough prepared for his sessions. There questions are more GAIN centred, not the experience. I had already Listened to OSHO, there's similar audience but stoned.
K was 88 during this speech. Though it is amazing at that age, sadly K doesn't discuss anything relevant to the question. He redirects everything to conditioning, fragmentation, separation etc.
Well if you just need an answer that’ll be satisfactory with relevant words and sentences to the questions being asked then you can go with any philosophical Mind that you may even find just outside your house but here is someone who have already gone to these questions repeatedly throughout his life so he knows the very root of the questions from where it is coming out and keeps slicing that off and make the questions disappear there’s a huge difference between giving an answer to a question and making a question disappear from its very root hope you got what I am trying to say❤❤
Ritesh Arora I remember K saying meditation is the everyday living of life and not some method. So when someone is 'meditating' they are to concerned with the self and not paying attention to the actual life. So I think this what he means by occupied with the self. When he says begin with the self I think he's referring to being the change you want to see in the world. Changing the world begins with individual action.
Ritesh Arora I believe I didn't completely answered your question above. No, I don't think K contradicts himself with his statement in the video about 'occupied' with the self versus 'starting with the self'. I think he's telling the audience (although he doesnt make a clear distinction in this talk) that the traditional methods or techniques of meditation are not the way to deal with this problem of livelihood which is what this discussion is about. He's saying that the division is the root cause of this problem of daily living, employment and such and how does a person deal with this when they are busy with the daily struggles of life. He then say it has to start with the self which I interpret to mean observe the mind which creates this division and the mere act of seeing that brings it to an end then the self acts accordingly. Existing in a constant state of seeing and acting which requires intense attention to what actually is, which K consistently repeats over and over in his talks. Notice how K never explicitly answers the question, he often never answers the question, instead he guides the audience to the root cause of the problem.
7:45 I love his laugh😄
I havent encountered a more decent man, ever.
What a gem! 💎

World peace should start from individual peace.

May I remind you, that we are talking about division...seperation
At minute 6 he is talking about Chernobyl
One world govt
Man creates divisions..but they all want the same currency.
One hand K said to begin with your self and on the other he says one is occupied with oneself"s meditation and so on. Isn't that a contradiction?

Bari Ruberg i am not referring to any technique like concentration or whatever but simple choiceless observation of the mind which K didn't opposed
Yes good job it worked you are asking questions just beautiful

Bari Ruberg yes that's right. Meeting life with awareness. Also note awareness increases when mind is silent
