For the longest time i thought wildfire gave 4 stacks of soulblaze to all affected enemies, the second i learned it doesnt its 4 stacks SPLIT between enemies in range i stopped taking it and realized how trash it is, i just assume ppl who take it havent figured it out yet.
And if those enemies have the same number of stacks, they don't spread and the node literally does nothing. And it competes with psykinetic's aura. Absolute joke if a talent.
Its not a bad perk on paper, but their execution of how its implemented has been ass ass. Like thats a good 75% of this game. Great on paper, bad executions.

Bro here is just on a high horse... Tbh, I have over 2k hours and my my main is psyker, closing to a 2k true level... your video wasn't that bad. Especially for some who doesn't play that often psyker. And yes brain rapture is slow without skills that boost it.
i will admit that making builds is hard for newbies, they either grab em online or i have to help them everysingle time. and i have to say that no matter what good build youre cooking you are always skillpoints short because there are so many mandatory nodes in the skilltrees that not taking them is an insult to every build conceived. aside from that, thank you for the video and showing me its not only my friends who are clueless about darktide builds. keep doing gods work.

Very good video and definitely an improvement on your end imo. Genuinely I got to the point that I wouldn’t watch your builds for their entirety or more than a minute for that matter because of the way criticisms or suggestions were communicated. Not that I’d be personally offended but that kind of language simply being unnecessary to the content. I think you’ll find yourself garnering more support when you can communicate your extensive knowledge in a more amendable manner like this. Hell I went from not being able to watch more than a minute of old videos to watching this entire thing to understand what is actually good with Psyker since their last additions. Came out of it with new build ideas and also insight into you as a creative personality. Not only that, but an increased likelihood to watch you again. Good work. I’d like to add that AsianRobot is a well remembered unhelpful build creator. Funny how the game has grown since then, and so has its community of content creators.

Great video, and this is my subjective opinion of course, but your videos go from S tier to godlike when you aren't overly mean to the people that you talk to/about. I had a lot of issues with Mister Es videos and it's absolutely necessary to set the record straight, but he also doesn't seem like a bad person (unlike aisan robot) he has a pretty good presentation method so with constructive criticisim he could make enjoyable videos WITH good information. This would be great because a lot of new players turn to him.

I don't think tanner sounds as "mad" as other people think. Compared to the other videos, it was way more level headed, and I also learned a couple new things about the game. Keep it up.

He 100% copies his builds from other players he gets grouped with. I'm a new player from the recent 50% off sale this year and needed help figuring out add-ons. In his add-on installation video, he goes over one that increases the information gained from the player inspect function.
i rly thought inspecting builds will be made private by default after a week, since that's pretty much what they did with vermintide 2 when builds showed up on the TAB screen. but yeah i sometimes check out random players' builds, most of them are god awful

I'm very new lol. My Psyker is only level 9 and that's my only class. I'm trying to be a good Psyker, it's the class that drew me into the game. I keep rotating between the shards and lightning because I'm so indecisive 😂

for the record, critiquing the aesthetic design of an ability is absolutely legit (talking about no feedback on gaze activation here), also it’s mostly subjective outside of bad feedback design not communicating to your teammates when you’ve popped super saiyan which would be helpful for many many reasons. other than that i had a lot of very similar thoughts to you when watching his video, im happy someone said something!

I’ve got quite a few hours in darktide, but I’m still an extreme newbie in terms of skill, barely just got comfortable with damnation and dipping my toes into auric and maelstrom. your videos have opened my eyes to a lot of things that looking back should’ve been obvious as noob traps, and I fell for nearly every one of them when it came to curio perks, certain terrible talents, terrible weapon combos, movement etc. I always wondered why I struggled so much on damnation before, I have decent aim and such, but the build videos have substantially improved my gameplay just because of perks and talent changes alone. I actually did fall for Mr E’s “bubble supremacy” trick and I had no idea psyker could be so crazy.
20:57 funny isn't it, how ult followed by blasting away is so supremely complex. Actually I played gun Psyker only when leveling my Psyker back in the beta because good staves were rare and being new to peril, I tended to blow myself up.
2:29 Amen to that! Assail is the go to pox horde clear option. Safe to use in an emergency, no charge up time, fast to build Peril. Affects Warp Rider, One With the Warp, Mettle, Warp Expenditure, Perfect Timing and Malefic Momentum. Very powerful Blitz for Psykers getting ready to mulch up a Pox Horde for Psykers that are using a Single Target staff like Surge or Voidstrike. Brain Burst pairs beautifully with Purgatus as Kinetic Flayer is essentially guaranteed to proc the second cooldown is over due to how a single full charged secondary attack counts as an absurd amount of "hits". It's also great with Empowered Psionics at eliminating out of range Elites/Specialists. Smite is great at saving the day in bad situations but needs to be reworked. It can easily stop groups of Crushers though.

Mr. E's channel was recommended by YT, listened to that video for 8-10 minutes, then turned it off cause it just sounded like complete crap of what "feels good" versus "what IS good". 3:15 To be fair though, Smite as it is is currently broken. It's far too easy to use it as a crutch for bad gameplay decisions. It should be a fire-forget stun attack with a limited amount of charges that regenerate 1 over a minute or something longer, so it has high strategic value but limited spam.

As a Vet main, his take on most everything on the tree was OOOOKKKKKK but otherwise just a take of someone who cant think outside the box. It's kinda funny that shitting on Marksman's Focus is a meme since it came out, when its a great keystone for run-gunning with autoguns, yet folks think you need to standstill and horde stacks. Seen the same take on Focus Target, gotta hold it to build stacks meaning you dont use it all that often - these takes I just dont understand, and then those people will say Weapon Specialist is GOAT. Generally not sure if these people dont understand how to play vet or they never thought past what they heard from someone else smh
As a new player I enjoy his videos which emphasize survivability and supporting your team(reminds me of your tier list of blitzes/abilties where you split it into casual/sweat). I think there is potentially a difference between your view of hyper sweat optimization and optimization for a newer player. E is also trying to portray his content as meta. That’s the issue. It’s fine if he makes fun builds or theme builds. That’s valid. Doomslayer vet is fun. Martydome zealot is considered fun to some people. But don’t say it’s meta and then not take some of the best nodes in the tree. It’s false info and it’s going to make the surge of new players that are trying to get the most out their builds worse off. Don’t talk about something you have little knowledge/experience in.

But nowaday i just put my research on reddit and gameslantern builds, also telepots and dray's videos and a variety of other small channels. Not expected to watch a whole 1hr40m but really glad i did, learnt so much about psyker, thank you!
Wildfire is huge on the inferno staff. Game's so hectic that you can't hit everything all the time and wildfire covers your blind spots. Not to mention simply lowering mobs to be in one shot range is also a boon and it can really shine in a hectic situation.

I was wondering why the bubble shield was nerfed so badly, then I discovered that the reason it's not see through any more on my system is because I upgraded to a PC with a better GPU, with complementary visual bugs.
26:00 I agree about Telekine Shield. High level play forces you to be so mobile that you almost never have 3 seconds to remain stationary, let alone 30. Especially since you have to give up one of two of the best active abilities in the game to take it. Also, at high level play the toughness/survival boost Telekine Shield would give you is massively outweighed by the killing/CC potential of the other two choices. Telekine Shield looks cool and can help lower skilled players get through tough situations but it's not meta at all.
also empyric double affects the toughness gained on peril gen/peril vent nodes, because you get less, generate less, so you have less to vent all at the same time, so your toughness regen is really really hardly tanking. might as well skip those 2 nodes and put them somwhere else at that point and yet i still like empyric for trauma, just because it has such an easy time generating peril anyway, and i hate the constant cast-vent-cast-vent gymnastics with it on high peril.

"It's okay but once you hit T4 and T5 difficulty, Psyker falls off hard." - Real person who told me they're a pro at Darktide and I'm just wrong
im not even level 30 on psyker and I dont "constantly use the blitzes" like you totally can weave them into the rest of your gameplay or quickly switch between them???
I only recently got into Darktide, and not even 60hrs later I find that there is an active warzone in game's community. Love it, reminds me of all the other games I've played
19:13 Crushers are even funnier as an example with the Duelling Sword, as with enough boosts from Disrupt Destiny/Scrier's Gaze and Precog, you can one shot Crushers with it. With buffs running in game, I rarely actually use the special against Crushers, 'cause they die in one to three hits (depending on exact buffs and crits).
1:08:23 I clicked on this video after a break from darktide, mostly to hear whats going on while using it as a sort of introduction to the new tree after my break. I've been trying to figure out what I want to go without so I can get things like the new staff abilities. Straight up I have never felt more strapped for points on a build, barring ogryn but that's just cause I dont like playing ogryn too much and I'm not sure how the builds work on it. Whenever I do zealot or veteran sure I have to make hard choices depending on the build, more vet than zealot, but on pskyer I feel like man. Every point is insanely valuable. Also, idk about you guys but when I pop venting shriek or scryer's gaze or a psyker I'm playing with does, I get a very loud sound cue of them saying that yes, they are indeed using the abilities.
I'm a proud total level 80 psyker staying mostly in my casual heresy and malice tier. The video kinda came across as a "I don't play the class but want to talk about it" kinda thing. Also "Nobody knows you're using scriers" don't you scream at the top of your lungs when you activate it? And immediately start going sicko/goblin/gremlin mode on the enemies? Is that not enough, lol? I mean, having a glowing aura when you do it would be cool, but it's not required. I dunno. I'm a mid tier player that gets confused when people say "venting shriek is training wheels" or "purgatus staff is not meant for Frontline fighting"
@@TannerLindberg my apologies, looks like I mixed up the braced and normal: Autoguns Lowered the amount of hits that do increased damage on a critical hit string: Columbus Mk V Autoguns from 4 to 3 Braced Autoguns from 3 to 2.
You had me rolling all video long. Good information plus dumb jokes like "Okay I paused." At 37:46 though regarding Warp Unbound, being able to just sit at 100% peril with all that Scrier's goodness going and just machine gunning out staff attacks is pretty effective. Never with gun psyker, but when you want to play trauma staff like you were talking about it can be a pretty nice little point. +2 sec Scrier's duration for not having to quell when it ends + max warp rider damage + whatever other bonuses you like to take for being at 100% peril. It's not the best point ever but it makes Staff + Scryer a lot more effective.
I would never really play psyker like that ( I love the ogryn and branx too much) but goddamn learned more about psyker here than I ever have in my time playing this game.

Not that I think you should make a habit of dunking on this dude, but I'd recommend that video too for more questionable talent choices.

Genuinely I got to the point that I wouldn’t watch your builds for their entirety or more than a minute for that matter because of the way criticisms or suggestions were communicated. Not that I’d be personally offended but that kind of language simply being unnecessary to the content. I think you’ll find yourself garnering more support when you can communicate your extensive knowledge in a more amendable manner like this. Hell I went from not being able to watch more than a minute of old videos to watching this entire thing to understand what is actually good with Psyker since their last additions. Came out of it with new build ideas and also insight into you as a creative personality. Not only that, but an increased likelihood to watch you again. Good work.
I’d like to add that AsianRobot is a well remembered unhelpful build creator. Funny how the game has grown since then, and so has its community of content creators.

Great video, and this is my subjective opinion of course, but your videos go from S tier to godlike when you aren't overly mean to the people that you talk to/about.
I had a lot of issues with Mister Es videos and it's absolutely necessary to set the record straight, but he also doesn't seem like a bad person (unlike aisan robot) he has a pretty good presentation method so with constructive criticisim he could make enjoyable videos WITH good information. This would be great because a lot of new players turn to him.

I don't think tanner sounds as "mad" as other people think. Compared to the other videos, it was way more level headed, and I also learned a couple new things about the game. Keep it up.

It is true he has never actually got proper mad in a video at all, at least from what I've seen anyway, more frustration or annoyance then actual real rage or anger.
He 100% copies his builds from other players he gets grouped with. I'm a new player from the recent 50% off sale this year and needed help figuring out add-ons. In his add-on installation video, he goes over one that increases the information gained from the player inspect function.
i rly thought inspecting builds will be made private by default after a week, since that's pretty much what they did with vermintide 2 when builds showed up on the TAB screen. but yeah i sometimes check out random players' builds, most of them are god awful

I mean getting a blue aura on gaze would be sick, more visual clutter for sure but sick. Maybe a version of gaze with a soul blaze effect.
for the record, critiquing the aesthetic design of an ability is absolutely legit (talking about no feedback on gaze activation here), also it’s mostly subjective outside of bad feedback design not communicating to your teammates when you’ve popped super saiyan which would be helpful for many many reasons.

I’ve got quite a few hours in darktide, but I’m still an extreme newbie in terms of skill, barely just got comfortable with damnation and dipping my toes into auric and maelstrom. your videos have opened my eyes to a lot of things that looking back should’ve been obvious as noob traps, and I fell for nearly every one of them when it came to curio perks, certain terrible talents, terrible weapon combos, movement etc. I always wondered why I struggled so much on damnation before, I have decent aim and such, but the build videos have substantially improved my gameplay just because of perks and talent changes alone. I actually did fall for Mr E’s “bubble supremacy” trick and I had no idea psyker could be so crazy.
20:57 funny isn't it, how ult followed by blasting away is so supremely complex. Actually I played gun Psyker only when leveling my Psyker back in the beta because good staves were rare and being new to peril, I tended to blow myself up.

2:29 Amen to that! Assail is the go to pox horde clear option. Safe to use in an emergency, no charge up time, fast to build Peril. Affects Warp Rider, One With the Warp, Mettle, Warp Expenditure, Perfect Timing and Malefic Momentum. Very powerful Blitz for Psykers getting ready to mulch up a Pox Horde for Psykers that are using a Single Target staff like Surge or Voidstrike.
Brain Burst pairs beautifully with Purgatus as Kinetic Flayer is essentially guaranteed to proc the second cooldown is over due to how a single full charged secondary attack counts as an absurd amount of "hits". It's also great with Empowered Psionics at eliminating out of range Elites/Specialists.
Smite is great at saving the day in bad situations but needs to be reworked. It can easily stop groups of Crushers though.

Mr. E's channel was recommended by YT, listened to that video for 8-10 minutes, then turned it off cause it just sounded like complete crap of what "feels good" versus "what IS good". 3:15 To be fair though, Smite as it is is currently broken. It's far too easy to use it as a crutch for bad gameplay decisions. It should be a fire-forget stun attack with a limited amount of charges that regenerate 1 over a minute or something longer, so it has high strategic value but limited spam.

As a Vet main, his take on most everything on the tree was OOOOKKKKKK but otherwise just a take of someone who cant think outside the box. It's kinda funny that shitting on Marksman's Focus is a meme since it came out, when its a great keystone for run-gunning with autoguns, yet folks think you need to standstill and horde stacks. Seen the same take on Focus Target, gotta hold it to build stacks meaning you dont use it all that often - these takes I just dont understand, and then those people will say Weapon Specialist is GOAT. Generally not sure if these people dont understand how to play vet or they never thought past what they heard from someone else smh

E is also trying to portray his content as meta. That’s the issue. It’s fine if he makes fun builds or theme builds. That’s valid. Doomslayer vet is fun. Martydome zealot is considered fun to some people. But don’t say it’s meta and then not take some of the best nodes in the tree. It’s false info and it’s going to make the surge of new players that are trying to get the most out their builds worse off. Don’t talk about something you have little knowledge/experience in.

But nowaday i just put my research on reddit and gameslantern builds, also telepots and dray's videos and a variety of other small channels. Not expected to watch a whole 1hr40m but really glad i did, learnt so much about psyker, thank you!
Wildfire is huge on the inferno staff. Game's so hectic that you can't hit everything all the time and wildfire covers your blind spots. Not to mention simply lowering mobs to be in one shot range is also a boon and it can really shine in a hectic situation.

I was wondering why the bubble shield was nerfed so badly, then I discovered that the reason it's not see through any more on my system is because I upgraded to a PC with a better GPU, with complementary visual bugs.
26:00 I agree about Telekine Shield. High level play forces you to be so mobile that you almost never have 3 seconds to remain stationary, let alone 30. Especially since you have to give up one of two of the best active abilities in the game to take it. Also, at high level play the toughness/survival boost Telekine Shield would give you is massively outweighed by the killing/CC potential of the other two choices. Telekine Shield looks cool and can help lower skilled players get through tough situations but it's not meta at all.
also empyric double affects the toughness gained on peril gen/peril vent nodes, because you get less, generate less, so you have less to vent all at the same time, so your toughness regen is really really hardly tanking. might as well skip those 2 nodes and put them somwhere else at that point
and yet i still like empyric for trauma, just because it has such an easy time generating peril anyway, and i hate the constant cast-vent-cast-vent gymnastics with it on high peril.

I only recently got into Darktide, and not even 60hrs later I find that there is an active warzone in game's community. Love it, reminds me of all the other games I've played
19:13 Crushers are even funnier as an example with the Duelling Sword, as with enough boosts from Disrupt Destiny/Scrier's Gaze and Precog, you can one shot Crushers with it. With buffs running in game, I rarely actually use the special against Crushers, 'cause they die in one to three hits (depending on exact buffs and crits).

I've been trying to figure out what I want to go without so I can get things like the new staff abilities. Straight up I have never felt more strapped for points on a build, barring ogryn but that's just cause I dont like playing ogryn too much and I'm not sure how the builds work on it.
Whenever I do zealot or veteran sure I have to make hard choices depending on the build, more vet than zealot, but on pskyer I feel like man. Every point is insanely valuable.
Also, idk about you guys but when I pop venting shriek or scryer's gaze or a psyker I'm playing with does, I get a very loud sound cue of them saying that yes, they are indeed using the abilities.
I'm a proud total level 80 psyker staying mostly in my casual heresy and malice tier. The video kinda came across as a "I don't play the class but want to talk about it" kinda thing. Also "Nobody knows you're using scriers" don't you scream at the top of your lungs when you activate it? And immediately start going sicko/goblin/gremlin mode on the enemies? Is that not enough, lol? I mean, having a glowing aura when you do it would be cool, but it's not required.
I dunno. I'm a mid tier player that gets confused when people say "venting shriek is training wheels" or "purgatus staff is not meant for Frontline fighting"

You had me rolling all video long. Good information plus dumb jokes like "Okay I paused." At 37:46 though regarding Warp Unbound, being able to just sit at 100% peril with all that Scrier's goodness going and just machine gunning out staff attacks is pretty effective. Never with gun psyker, but when you want to play trauma staff like you were talking about it can be a pretty nice little point. +2 sec Scrier's duration for not having to quell when it ends + max warp rider damage + whatever other bonuses you like to take for being at 100% peril. It's not the best point ever but it makes Staff + Scryer a lot more effective.

Not that I think you should make a habit of dunking on this dude, but I'd recommend that video too for more questionable talent choices.
