    Thank you,
    You are the first person in a 30 minutes check that showed a cable with a polarity for the control of the MOSFET.
    Thanks a lot ;-)

    Thanks, you saved my day. I was so confused with the other MOSFET videos, some even shows circuit diagram bla bla bla. I just wanna get it install dude. plain and simple as what this video is showing.

    Is it neccessary to install one for the nozzle and one for the bed?

    Good video. I have the same mosfet but most other video's have the other ones. Was not sure how to wire this exactly. Can I use any 12 - 50v rail on an atx to power this since it ays 12 - 50v, or is it recommended to run these at 12v?

      Most printers have 12V bed if you apply 50V it will catch fire

    hi. my heatbed is undervoltaged ( around 3-5V ) when it needs to be 24V. So it doesnt heatsup. I bought a external mosfet ( exact same at this video ) but since it needs to get control signal from that green socket too.. It doesnt work.. So i tried to trace on pcb with multimeter but couldnt find where actually signal comes from, which component etc. Any idea for what can i do to get a signal to my mosfet? Thank you.

    Is there a reason not installing a fuse from the PSU to the mosfet? The original board mosfets are secured with SMD fuses. Now the low load from board mosfet to external mosfet is secure (smd fuses), but no fuse from PSU to heating element (over external mosfet). If the heating element fails it may short and draw a lot of amps. Not enough for the PSU (e.g. 200W) to shut down but enough for the heating element wires or connectors to get very hot.
    This may be bad without a fuse, or am i wrong?

      You are completely right but beds are very unlikely to fails so nobody bothers to install fuse

      Also thermal runaway should protect you too if a heat element dies. If you have it enabled on your board that is.

    hi... why you will need an external MOSFET ?

    • @tygentan
      @tygentan 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      to heat up your bed faster. If you only prints PLA then that's still fine, but if you planning to prints ABS, your bed will need to reach 105'C and it takes time without MOSFET

    You didn't say anything about the polarity of the control signal otherwise nice video
